Really enjoyed our evening at Elementa. Great service from their whole team from getting us in earlier than our reservation, to delivering a delicious meal including recommendations for us. Fresh bread and butter selection is a yummy while figuring out our order. Oysters and pearls app was a fresh and tasty start. Branzino had crispy potato scallop-like scales and was perfectly cooked. 14oz Wagyu strip MR was expertly cooked and needed nothing...though the cognac sauce did add some extra savory to the bite. The pear delight dessert was just ok and probably not a repeat for us. While tasty, it was really small and a bit too bland after the strong flavors of the main courses. Old fashioneds were the perfect compliment to the dinner and a good mix indeed. Four stars is the result of the requirement to walk through the smokiest casino in Southern California to get to the restaurant. Pala needs to invest in a stronger/better HVAC system to circulate clean air and evacuate the smoke. We will definitely be back, as the area needed a new place to eat inventive, tasty food since Harlow's shut down unceremoniously in Dec-25. Keep it up Elementa! read more

This review is long overdue. We had dinner at Elemental in early May to celebrate my husband's birthday. The service from the waitress and the sommelier was impeccable from start to finish. The complimentary fresh bread and butter was yummy. We had Caesar salad, mussels soup en route, octopus and flat iron steak. The food was delicious since everything was cooked perfectly. We really enjoyed the recommended Cabernet Sauvignon and the additional wine tasting offered from the friendly sommelier. We also appreciate the complimentary birthday dessert. That Tahitian vanilla crème brûlée was exquisite! We will definitely be back to try other dishes on the menu. read more

Elementa is lovely. The dark high back chairs make you feel like royalty while you dine. The decor is gorgeous throughout the restaurant. We were fortunate to be seated in a private dining area that featured an overhead sculpture of fish circling. Our table centerpiece was absolutely gorgeous in a sea theme with blue lighting illuminating the centerpiece from below. The servers were very attentive. The food was delicious. We had a party of five. Three people ordered the black flat iron steak. The price was reasonable. The steak was cooked to perfection and everyone really enjoyed it. I ordered the Branzino and it was OK. The Caesar salad was one of the best I've ever had. Absolutely delicious and they add bacon into it. We had an excellent experiences at Elementa! Wow! Unbelievably delicious! My wife and I had the chicken which was tender and moist. Cooked perfectly, the vinaigrette on the salad had a perfect touch to it. Started the evening off with the oysters. They were a nice clean palette cleanser. When entrees were brought out the chefs dropped them off themselves, that is always seen as a nice touch. We ordered the branzino and the flat iron. The steak was cooked perfectly very impressed. Was a little disappointed in the Branzino. Fell flat on the flavor, little smaller than expected, however the crispiness was there. I was a huge fan of the twice baked potato. When it was time for dessert, we decided to pass. Nothing really jumped off the menu at us and this is where your server really had the opportunity to step up. Anything other than "did we save room for dessert?" Some of my dearest friends and I dined at Elementa, and it was a stunning experience. I'm a sucker for great ambiance, and they nailed it, very moody, with great lighting and beautiful sculptures throughout the restaurant. So fun! We tried a variety of dishes, including oysters, octopus, wagyu strip steak, and a tomahawk steak, both of which were large enough to share. It was a lot of food! I had the filet with a twice-baked potato, and it was perfect. The filet was cooked to perfection and melted in my mouth. Don't even get me started on the desserts! Since we had a larger group, we ordered every item on the desert menu and shared. The presentation was next level, and my taste buds were exploding. Amazing staff our waitress was Annmarie, she was attentive without being intrusive, anticipating our needs before we even had to ask. She had perfect timing, ensuring our drinks were always full and our courses arrived seamlessly. I went with family and my boyfriend to try this place out since they're fairly new, and their service was amazing. It was subtle, but I appreciated the "ladies first" when it came to our time to order (it surprised me honestly because you don't get that too often anymore). Shout out to our waiter for the amazing service too! The ambiance was nice as well, with soft blue lighting. The noise was fairly soft, but it's not like those uncomfortable atmospheres in some of those fancy restaurants where one peep and you're deemed "immature". Our food was absolutely delicious, especially the mushroom soup starter (sooo good). My party got a variety of dishes like the scallops and duck, but everything was delicious overall (I didn't know the duck would be soft but still good!). Overall I would say everything was great. This was truly the worst experience ever. This was a birthday dinner and my meal never arrived. When we asked about it we were told 10 minutes. 10 minutes came an went. We asked that everyone else get a fresh meal so we can eat together. They said no they would heat up the existing meals. Needless to say nobody at out table ate. Do not order the duck it is like rubber. The Cesar salad is like lettuce with lemon juice as the dressing. Honestly I can not believe the server we had was the topping on the cake. The website misleads you to think it is a five star steakhouse yet the service was slow, asked for a table and was sat at a half booth and chair , decor is old Asian with no tablecloths, water was filtered but no ice was available, the waitress kept saying our bread was coming and finally showed up 30 minutes later, the Caeser's salad had hydrated chewy cherry tomatoes with a terrible lemony dressing, and each course took so long to get we asked for our ticket and left. We paid for the two glasses of wine and they took off the salad. Worst experience ever. The manager couldn't believe we didn't want the entrees and were leaving after we explained that the table next to us came in 20 minutes after us and were already done with their entrees. The table next to us was disappointed in their flat iron steaks for $48 that were 1/2 inch thick and size of a deck of cards. Also, bring your own wine as their wine list for reds is short and very limited. They said the chef prepared a French flair to the food but there was nothing special about this Restuarant or food and it needs to be gutted and start with new mgmt. read more

The atmosphere was dramatic and modern, definitely an bold choice for Pala but it works. While you can see the hustle and lights of the casino, the sounds are blocked. Our waitress was very attentive but felt like she was unsure of pacing and steps of service as to when she would place flatware, pick up plates and so on but you could see the effort was there. The food, oysters and pearls were amazing, perfect balance of sweet and briny, the house bread was a drier dupe of milk breads, so close yet so far. The caesar salad, nothing offensive, nothing outstanding. The potato grand mere, a simple highlight of the meal, the crunchy hen of the wood mushrooms also a great side. The waygu strip, was magical, perfectly cooked, beautifully plated. Is this the best steakhouse on the 76 casino trail? Not yet, that distinction still belongs to Black and Blue at Valley View. However, this concept is a glisten of hope for Pala, pre-covid, their culinary programs would give some Vegas strip properties a run for thier money. This concept is a bold choice and a definite upgrade over the Oak Room. Put in a cocktail program to match the energy and the fifth star will soon appear. read more

Friday, January 23, 5:30 p.m., Nancy and I had dinner at Elementa. We were looking for an elegant evening with great ambiance, quality service, excellent wine options, and a French-based cuisine we like of the highest quality and range of options, all with a chance to catch up after Nancy flew in from Hawaii late Thursday after almost a month there over the holidays. And that is exactly what we enjoyed all evening.Elementa is high end private dining, complementing Bar Meets Grill and its great food, people and different look and feel. It is more formal, which we enjoy at times, and from reservations to walking in the door, to being greeted, seated, helped with wine and menu options, the people there, i.e., Abraham, Andreas who took care of us, the front staff, server assistants, Sarah who set it up, it was letter perfect. Professional, attentive, nice people all there to make it a great evening and doing so in a gracious manner at all times.The ambiance, is designed for dining with family or close friends, or both. Style is darker, again more formal, with all tables spaced well so private conversations can be had and remain such. Music is perfect - not loud, good background music. It is classy and comfortable. But it is again a setting for a quieter evening to enjoy the company you are with, discussions with those at your table, and dial back the evening for focused time with family or close friends.We are wine drinkers, not at the tables, but at places to eat. As Elementa was constructed and went through testing of meal and wine options, it ended up with an excellent wine selection including reserve vintages which pair with all the meal options or are enjoyed with any choice. Abraham is always there to help, knows the wineries and everything on and off list, and helped us select top cabernet sauvignon which was perfect start to finish. We've dined there probably 15 times, never a bad wine or guidance, though we also know "big" Cabernets and Super Tuscans.As nice as all the people are, and they are extremely nice, as great as the wine is, and the darker ambiance well done for private dining and relaxed discussions, where Elementa excels is in the food options, portion options, and quality of every single item on the menu. Bread options w/three unique butters also provided on arrival. Appetizers are numerous, ranging from caesar salad (my favorite) and other salads which are large, to rich soup options mushroom based or lobster based, elegantly served and smaller but so rich they are sized perfectly for an appetizer without overpowering an entree selection. Beef carpaccio, elegant and large with accents is another appetizer, as are oysters and pearls, octopus and other items. The size is commensurate with how rich items are, and they each perfect. Entrees present a nightmare as to how to choose among so many quality items. While I am not a fish eater, Nancy is, as are friends who have dined with us. She has had lobster, crab legs, and other items. Again, every time perfectly prepared and post-appetizers perfectly sized. There is a chicken dish, duck, all manner of other items and choices. My favorite is the 14 oz wagyu beef from Australia. Had it, oh, 10-11 times, large portion, sliced pre-service, and perfect at medium rare or any temperature you prefer. Pair it with the red wine, add one of four sauce options and the twice baked potatoes, you will not finish what is on your plate. Rich, quality, and for larger portion fans as are several other items. Nancy went land and sea, a combo, with crab leg removed from shell to prepare and returned for service to the table, with selection from a rib eye cap beyond rich and paired with the crab a filling dish. Just perfectly done, and devoured.There are great deserts, with creme brulee and sorbets among the options. We were too full to add to our evening at the expense of being unable to get out of our chairs. But we have had them, a wide range again, and excellent.We shared our evening with others, and challenged any suggestion of small portions. It is a different dining experience where the richness of an item factors in on some choices over quantity, but there is no issue as to the options depending on your dining preferences. We have never had a bad meal or single meal selection there, and the chef and his team are extraordinary. We are both Bar Meets Grill fans, no question, but when someone said that the portion size at Elementa is less than Bar Meets Grill, that is true on some items but it is a different style of cooking and menu options, with a richness on some where too much will send you on overload and fill you up prematurely. Bar Meets Grill is its own unique and incredible place, but these are two options and it is unfair to expect each to mirror the other -- if that were the case, someone erred as you want different types of dining experiences not duplicates. Both are perfect for the different evenings they offer. read more
