We came across this restaurant by accident because we really wanted to eat at the Steakhouse in Pechanga Resort but we didn't have reservations so we'd have to wait a couple hours. We decided to go right next door to Paisano's and I am so glad we did. When we first walked in it gave a good impression. The ambiance Was nice and people seemed to be enjoying their food. The wait staff was incredibly nice and attentive. We were torn on what to order so our waitress recommended the short rib beef ravioli and we were so happy that we followed her recommendation. It was literally THE BEST short rib and pasta dish that I've ever had. The food came quick and was piping hot. I will definitely order this again if/when I am at Pechanga again. read more

This was our first time dining in at Paisano's (we've done takeout before). I have to start by saying our server, Sean, was an absolute ray of sunshine... personable, attentive, and knowledgeable. Sean definitely gets five stars from us! I was disappointed that I couldn't swap spaghetti for angel hair with my chicken parmigiana. Since another dish on the menu already features angel hair, it didn't seem like a big ask. Unfortunately, I was told management doesn't allow pasta substitutions. I ordered the chicken parmigiana anyway and regretted it... the spaghetti was dry, and the chicken parm lacked flavor and presentation. Sean noticed I had stopped eating after a couple of bites and was now picking at my daughter's fettuccine Alfredo with chicken (which was outstanding). Without hesitation, he kindly inquired and then swapped my dish for the Alfredo, and it was delicious. My husband's short rib ravioli was also exceptional. One thing to note: portions are much more generous dining in compared to takeout, which felt a bit meager in comparison. The staff overall was warm and friendly. Wednesday, 12-11-2024: Hubby made reservations for dinner this evening. As we entered we were greeted warmly and shown to our table. We were immediately given water and their delicious bread with garlic & red pepper infused olive oil for dipping. The bread was hot & fresh and complemented by the flavorful dipping oil. Our server, Kathleen, came over to take our orders. Hubby ordered the spaghetti with Wagyu meatballs and I wanted the Penne Vodka. My husband enjoyed his meal while I am taking a star off on my dish. It was flavorful but the pancetta was fatty, chewy, and gristle-like. On the menu, it states the pancetta was crispy. It was anything but. The portions were generous and I could only finish half of my dish. It was great as a left over minus the fatty pancetta. Our server was okay and not as attentive as we would've liked. We ordered the tiramisu and shared it. It was very good. Next time I will try another dish. The interior is upscale and decorated nicely. The staff is very nice, don't get me wrong, but the food we had was not good at all. And I am not a picky person. The soul was not flavored, my pastas were overcooked and floating in the sauce with pancettas that was hard and bad taste. My boyfreind's meatballs were literally falling apart in the plate and the taste was not great either. Sorry I usually do not write comments but this restaurant that is not cheap by the way, has to improve the quality. That is a shame in that nice ambiance. The food took what seemed to be a long time to be long time. We started with a salad and a Tomato bisc soup. Both had a great presentation and were very good. Staying at Prchanga for several nights we tried most of the food venues and Paisano's was by far, not only our favorite at the resort, but our favorite Italian restaurant we've been to in a very long time. Even though this place is inside of a "wannabe" casino (see my review of Pechanga) it's actually the real deal when it comes to Italian food. The ambiance is warm and inviting with an open view into their busy kitchen. It's always a great view to see the pizza you just ordered get slid into a brick oven. The service is also always on point shoutout to Melvin! A few of my favorites are the chicken piccata sub risotto for the spaghetti and the short ribs with ravioli. Any of the pizzas are worth trying as well. The complementary bread is also fantastic as it's always delivered fresh and warm with their house garlic Parmesan oil. So why only four starts? While the prices of everything have gone up over the last year, the prices at Paisano's has increased disproportionately. Just after Biden took office, the piccata was $22 and is now $29; the short ribs were $28 and are now $48. That's a 32% increase for the chicken and 71% increase for the short ribs?!? The food is good but just not worth it at those prices. I guess I'll only be coming here if my craving for italian can't be satisfied by a slice of pizza. read more
