We were preparing to embark on a short 4-day trip but it would be the first time we had ever left our dogs behind and I was very nervous about finding a sitter/company that was a good fit for us. From day 1, VIP impressed me with their level of communication and organization. Their online client portal is easy to navigate and great for checking your schedule, pets info, etc. Nancy, their Director of Client Relations, is incredibly detail oriented, great at follow up, and actually does what she says she will do (a rarity in this day and age!). Our assigned sitter, Amber, took amazingly good care of our pups. Her communication was stellar and I felt the entire time that it wasn't "just a sitter" there watching our pups, it felt like a family member was taking care of them. There were repeated refusal of care from the scaredy cat nail techs who didn't even want to try... and the vets we've tried in the past recommend sedation before his nail trim... ridiculous as we get his nails trimmed every 3 weeks. Gents & Paws is a mobile nail trimming service created by two veterinary nail techs. Blessed to have found them. Patch continues to hate his nails trimmed; still snarling, but these guys are gentle and they definitely have the expertise to keep him calm. No major restraint, zero sedation required, and no scaredy cats doing his nails.... Also, lots of pet education ... Pets can tell if you're uncomfortable or scared in performing your tasks. Nick & Jeff are the best, and I'm a happy pet parent. Thank you.
