The worst vet ever. Think the name is Pima vet or something like that. So rude and cold.

I called VEG from another local emergency vet service (a national urgent care vet service located in Oro Valley) that was simply geographically closer but I'd been waiting at for 45 minutes without being seen. VEG said ok we'll see her on entry, and when you get here, let them know you already have a chart on file. As soon as I brought my dog through the door, they greeted her with a team of physicians and support staff. They were RIGHT on the situation IMMEDIATELY! With empathy, knowledge, and skill. No joke - start to finish, probably 15 minutes total from my entry to the diagnosis, treatment, and release. I was thinking this will take easily 2-3 hours here, but not at all. Yep, I got an initial diagnosis within one minute saying 99% sure it's not bloat this time but would recommend an x-ray to be certain; and more diagnostics if you want after that. Not that it's about the amount of time it takes, but that aspect wildly exceeded my expectations! But the QUALITY of care, the treatment of both my dog and me by the staff, my comfort level with the facility, they were all absolutely outstanding! So then they did the x-rays, officially ruled out bloat, and I even got a bonus look at the heart and lungs as well from that x-ray and found no issues and that's great for a 12.5 year old dog! That was a BONUS diagnosis when the sole goal of the visit was to simply rule out bloat. All done with skill and empathy! I used VEG for the bloat surgery for this same dog and I've used them in between then and now for other dogs as well. So I can say the level of service is consistently excellent. That surgery changed our dog's life and ours. She's lived her best life in the year and a half since then and it's had a positive impact on our entire pet household. Let's just say VEG was QUITE the opposite experience from the other emergency vet. I've never felt so valued and appreciated as a client. VEG stands on its own for superior customer experience but when you contrast it with the experience I had just a few minutes earlier, it stands head and shoulders above any other emergency vet.

DO NOT TAKE EXOTICS HERE…read more Emergency visit for my rabbit, Oliver, at approximately 3:30 AM on 6.14.26 after traveling from Sierra Vista due to lack of exotic-specific veterinary care locally. He presented with a significant hind leg wound/lesion that appeared deep and concerning for possible abscess or infection, with notable surrounding tissue changes. During intake and evaluation, I interacted with Clara (vet tech), Kam (vet tech), Sarah (lead), and Jeff (doctor). I am very disappointed in the treatment and overall handling of my visit. I brought my animal in for a legitimate medical concern and felt that assumptions were immediately made about my intentions and myself personally, rather than focusing on the clinical situation at hand. During the visit, I was made to feel as though I was being viewed with suspicion, including the implication that I was seeking medication for myself or that I had caused harm intentionally. This was inappropriate and distressing in a medical setting. My primary concern is the standard of care provided. My animal was discharged without clear evidence of appropriate diagnostic workup such as imaging, antibiotics, or more advanced wound treatment. From my understanding, the wound was cleaned and then the case was effectively closed without further intervention, despite the severity of the injury. I have attached an image for reference showing the condition at discharge. Overall, I am concerned about both the medical decision making and the professionalism of staff interactions. During the visit, interactions were recorded, which contributed to a sense of being scrutinized rather than supported during an emergency medical situation. As a result of the lack of exotic-specific veterinary services in Sierra Vista, I traveled to Tucson to ensure Oliver could receive appropriate emergency care. Oliver is currently under emergency veterinary care and undergoing further evaluation and treatment. I am documenting this experience due to concerns regarding communication and intake assessment during an emergency exotic animal visit, and I am requesting follow-up from clinic leadership regarding the process. Edit: Following my visit, an employee from the clinic appeared as a suggested account on my Instagram. While this could have been the platform's algorithm, it left me wondering whether my profile had been viewed. Around the same time, LinkedIn notified me that employees from the company had viewed my profile, including a screenshot identifying visitors from the organization. When I raised my concerns, Lindsey the Medical Director denied the clinic looking me up. I can't say with certainty why these events occurred, but the timing contributed to my discomfort regarding my privacy and the overall experience.

What an A+ urgent vet care experience…read more I found the spot through reading reviews here on Yelp. Unfortunately, my late, sweet angel of a Bichon Frise has recently passed, however it was extremely helpful to have brought her here to this facility to understand more in depth the severity of her medical issue. Not only is the staff here so friendly and empathetic, they are also punctual, efficient and very honest. My dog sitter ended up taking my dog here one night while we were out of town to deal with her chronic vomiting. The vet caring for her that evening spoke with me directly over the phone to go over treatment options. I thoroughly appreciated her honesty. I ended up having to take my dog back here one night a few weeks later due to the vomiting starting up again and her primary vet also suggested what she's going through needs to be handled at an actual animal hospital. This second visit was just as efficient and also they were kind enough to waive certain fees due to us returning back to them in such a short amount of time. I also like the fact that we're able to use payment plan options via Affirm. That was extremely helpful for me during this previous emotionally tumultuous season. Overall, great urgent animal care location. I highly recommend them.

We unfortunately had a second visit to EVE Pet Hospital for our other pup, Ronon. He had a bloody…read morenose, that just would not stop! We initially called them when we were headed their way, to get their thoughts, and did appreciate them giving us some insight on the phone. We opted to stop in to be on the safe side. It was a bit quieter this time around, so we were able to get in a room right away and seen relatively quickly. It was a very much a "Got to rule out the options" type situation that required a bit more guesswork. Based on the initial intake, they recommended a blood panel, a SNAP panel (bloodwork specifically for ticks), X-rays and possible CT. We decided to start with the bloodwork, to minimize putting our dog through more procedures than necessary. They also have a relatively quick turn around time of 20-30 minutes for the results, making it easy to proceed if necessary. The tech we spoke with was nice, but a little brisk and not super helpful which inquiring on the next steps/options. She did mention a CT may be required and was helpful in getting prices and options for same day if needed. We did get the blood work results back, about an hour later, and Dr. Robinson came to speak with us, with a good news, bad news sitch. He had gotten an infection from a tick and his body was having trouble clotting and fighting it off, hence the nosebleed. She did a great job explaining and laying out all the details. Luckily, it was in the treatable phase and she ran through the prescriptions and care that would be required and let us know they would bring back the medication and Roni shortly. About an hour plus later...they bring him back, His nose had not stopped bleeding the entire time! Not their fault, it was uncontrollable, and they attempted, but was just not really treatable. We ended up spending about 4 1/2 hours there, most of that time which was not with our dog. All the initial exams and what not I understand, but getting the results and talking to the doctor, and still waiting another hour after the fact, seemed longer than necessary and we just felt bad for our pup, because we would have rather been with our dog waiting, then him in the back while waiting alone. A few other key details: It's $190 regardless for your pet to be examined, which you need to pay up front. Any other services, you pay for if you decide to proceed. They have two entrances, one for cats and one for dogs. it leads to the same space, but has separate sides to the same counter which is nice. The Dr recommended Nexgard (Tick treatment), which they do not have onsite, we had inquired if we could order from Chewy digitally, they said yes, but turns out they cannot. They do send home a paper prescription, but something to keep in mind or double check on. Overall, very grateful they figured out what was wrong and took care of him. The space was clean and staff was overall friendly. Their prices seem reasonable as well. A bit more communication would have been appreciated, especially regarding time, or at least updates so we knew he was okay and maybe a bit more guidance on what treatments make the most sense. They do a great job and though I hope you never need to go to the emergency vet, they are a great 24 hour accessible options.

Extremely Disappointed With Our Experience…read more After a horrific injury to our dog Gunner, we rushed him to this emergency veterinary clinic. We waited hours before anyone came in to speak with us, and eventually we were sent home and told we would be called when his procedure was complete. We later learned Gunner's injury was so severe that he had to have his toe amputated. After another couple of hours, we were called to pick him up. When they brought him out, his foot was completely bloody and dripping with no bandage or covering. Blood was getting all over the lobby, our vehicle, and Gunner. I asked if it could at least be covered, but was told they didn't want to because of swelling. I understand swelling is a concern, but after the traumatic night we had just experienced, seeing our dog carried out looking like he had just come from a freaking war was heartbreaking. We paid $2,000 for his care. I decided to reserve judgment and see if they would at least call the next day to check on him. They never did. In all my years of having dogs, I have never had a veterinary office fail to follow up after a procedure--even after routine vaccinations. After an emergency surgery and amputation, I expected at least a simple phone call. Thankfully, Gunner is doing well and recovering at home. But I am 150% disappointed with the lack of communication, compassion, and follow-up. If this hadn't been an emergency, I would have driven the extra five minutes to another clinic. Our pets are family, and when we hand them over during one of the most frightening moments of their lives, we expect them to be treated with care and compassion. This clinic needs to do better.

I was asked to authorize or decline CPR and an intensive care evaluation. We authorized the evaluation but not CPR. A little while later the vet came to let us know what the evaluation showed and she was so thorough and kind, explained the possible causes of seizures and potential treatment plans. They kept our pup overnight to monitor for more seizures, give her IV fluids, etc. We brought her home today. I have a medical background and I found the care was excellent, appropriate and the communication was great. I received 3 calls from the various vets on duty and each time they were informative and kind. My regular vet had already been notified within about 12 hours of admission and they called to check on us. The only hesitation of have is the cost of services. It seems very expensive. Medication that they provided when we took the pup home cost $62.38 for 30 pills. The price for 120 tabs from Chewy is $25.08. I understand the cost of intensive/ER services is exorbitant in general but $2000 for a 24 hour visit is something that many people can not afford.
