I've had great experiences with this clinic! Two of my cats, Oliver and Nasty Audrey, needed procedures. Oliver needed a neuter and Audrey needed a dental cleaning and some extractions. We met with Dr. Westphal prior to the procedures and she was terrific. Her exams were very thorough and I feel like she truly cared about my pets and I. As for the actual procedures, they were done by a visiting doctor, Dr. Starkel. She did a fantastic job. The techs gave me ample materials about after-care for each procedure and I felt very prepared to take care of my recovering cats at home. Frstly when we had to say farewell to our aging cat, the team and Dr Westvall were so caring and empathetic, providing endless time, dignity and explaining every step of the farewell, we were not rushed in any stage and the office has a special room an alternate private exit dedicated to this service at this sad time Upon adopting our next pet an injured dog found limping on the streets, Dr Westvall attended to her needs for almost 2 years, but Valley Fever sadly took her and again the team were wonderful at her end. But just as amazing was the new pup package and care we have got now for 2 years with our new pup, from initial health check, where Dr Westvall found ear mites! (Common) and easy quick treatment was provided as well as keeping her up on vaccinations, Heartgard and everything else she has needed. Dr. Westphal is so caring and knowledgeable. We have brought several of our pets in a short period of time and she has always made us feel like our animals are her only clients. In fact one time she brought her dog out to the lobby so that our dogs could meet each other. Unfortunately, we have had to put two animals down due to old age, and she helped us through that very difficult and emotional process giving us all the time that we needed. This place should be shut down immediately. Without doing a biopsy, a long history of valley fever, they told us she had lung cancer and gave us pamphlets on at home euthanasia because according to them she had about a month to live. Had we listened to them, our dear Ella would be dead by our own doing. Thank Christ we went somewhere else for a second opinion and they said it WAS her valley fever and put her on steroids and even though she can have her bad days, she's ALIVE. She's eating and playing. I don't even want to think about how many animals didn't get a second opinion. Shame on all of you, you put my family through unnecessary hell, I will tell every single person I know to avoid this death vet at all costs. Fuck you. read more

Dr. Westphal and her two assistants were fantastic with my dog and me as well. They are very thorough And care about your animal. They explained everything they did and the cost prior than moving forward, including side effects from the medication. They spent all the time needed. No assembly line service. He had developed allergies due to the climate change from FL to AZ and has been getting successful and mindful treatment from Dr Westphal. I am so bummed to write this review because most of the staff is AWESOME. I have two dogs and foster many. My dog had an annual exam in February from this same vet and then a few visits in March/April as we determined she did not have a UTI and is incontinent. This week (September) she needed a lepto vaccine. When I came in, the tech said it looks like we are doing an annual visit and the lepto today. I said oh, she had her annual in Feb so we can just do the lepto and I'll bring her back in around Feb for the annual. She said she'd need to go talk to the vet about that. Her and the vet came in and the Vet said it was a "policy to ensure she was healthy enough for the lepto vaccine." I have truly never heard of such a policy or they would not call it an 'annual visit.' Regardless, I said very calmly that I felt like this was not a policy that makes sense as this same vet had evaluated her 5 to 6 months ago and she's had lepto before. I said I felt like it was a way to charge unnecessary costs and I'd find a new vet over it because when I have real dog issues, I can't imagine what they would try to charge. The vet said "we'll get your file ready with no hesitation." I responded back that I'd prefer she just do the right thing. It was a difference of $80 - not a big deal but just a ridiculous policy. Nope. She looked at the dogs teeth, gave the lepto shot, left and I charged for another annual exam. I absolutely understand a vet practice is like every other business needing to charge for services to run their practice and have no problem paying for services needed. This was not that. I am disappointed but found another vet on Bell Ridge who had also never heard of that policy. Be careful with this place. read more

First-time pet owners, so we were quite nervous picking out a vet to go to. Luckily, I knew a website to look for the best vet that fits us. Thanks, Yelp! Dr. Grossman and his team made us feel comfortable during our entire first appointment with our fur baby. They were luckily allowing people to join their pets but we were told to call in advance so there is no one colliding at the waiting area. The front staff was extremely friendly and helped us sign up for the puppy plan! The puppy plan they offer is amazing!! It's only $210 for all puppy vaccinations, 3 check-ups, 10% off spaying/microchipping, and so much more! I didn't even know about this coming in but boy I was glad they mentioned it to us. Dr. Grossman and the assistant were very friendly and made our puppy feel at ease. Our puppy was handled very gently and treated like family. She did not cry once and was even offered a biscuit to comfort her. Dr. Grossman did not seem a bit annoyed at the million questions we came with and really helped us answer each question patiently. I would highly recommend this vet if you are looking for a new vet that makes your pet feel like family. read more

Yesterday was our first visit, my dog recently got diagnosed with congestive heart failure. Dr. Westphal and her nurse, along with front desk staff were amazing. Answered every little question, made my very anxious dog feel comfortable, and we left hopeful with our plan to care for her during her time left with us. We have a grave diagnosis but they were still so helpful and even pointed out some other issues not related to her heart that may need addressing. 10/10 read more

I recently had our 3 month old Wheaten terrier to Dr. Grossman for the rest of his vaccinations. The office staff were all friendly and attentive and demonstrated real love for my boy. Dr. Grossman himself saw Rascal and answered all my questions and concerns. While I've had the opportunity to visit other vet clinics in the area, Sonoran Foothills is definitely a step ahead of the rest. Thanks to all the staff and Dr. Grossman. We had such a wonderful experience here again last week that I had to post about it. I took my indoor-only kitty in (which is a very big deal as he's a skittish little thing and gets super stressed about leaving) and the office was quiet and clam which made a huge difference in his anxiety level. Dr. Grossman is so kind and soft spoken which I think also calms him down. We got labwork done and Dr. Grossman left the results on my voicemail. I called back to clarify a few things and spoke to him immediately. It's just such a change from our last vet office and it's so much less stressful for me as a kitty-mom. We are unfortunately moving soon and will probably change vets so kitty doesn't have such a long ride in the car and I'm sad about it. I really love this office and Dr. Grossman. Dr . Juliana Westphal is truly an amazing and caring person and Veterinarian. Dr. Juliana and her staff we so kind and caring when our Olde English Bulldogge developed a hematoma in her ear. When I mentioned that Bella was in pain they worked me in so she could be evaluated and I was able to schedule her for surgery shortly there after. We take our two dogs Beadle and Axl to see Dr. Grossman. The staff are always so nice and welcoming each time we have been there which is why we enjoy taking our babies there. They treat them with love and you can tell they care about your pets. If you need to be referred to another provider (ex: we were referred to a dental specialist) they will steer you in the right direction. Their location is easy to find, have convenient hours, appointments are easy to make, treatment recommended is appropriate and prices are reasonable.
