If I could I'd put zero stars in review. Food was uneatable. People who do cooking managed to spoil simple grits; it was cup of pure salt. We ordered our breakfast over the phone and all I can say is that I hope the girl that answered the phone and took our order was new because she had no idea what she was doing. I ordered an omelette from the healthy section and #1 she couldn't figure out where the omelette was to input the order even though I told her to look under healthy section where it was listed. If that hadn't happen I would have given them a higher rating. The food though - was good. I had the sunrise omelette and ordered the yogurt with strawberries and blueberries with granola. That was good too. I ate half my omelette and 1/2 the yogurt. I had the rest of the yogurt this afternoon after I came in for the beach and the other 1/2 of the omelette will be for breakfast tomorrow morning overall it was good. read more

It was a good lunch We had a good visit to Anita's. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and our server was right over to take drink orders. To be honest, we were greeted even before we walked in, a speaking Halloween decoration challenged us as we approached the door. Funny, and did surprise us. I often have breakfast when we go out on Sunday, even though it is early afternoon, but this time I selected their Reuben. The sandwich, along with my side, was a good lunch. The flavor was there, a thicker sandwich would have made it better. They had 50's music playing and a 50's décor, without overdoing it. The restaurant was clean but also had a cleaning smell when we walked in, and that kind of put me off. It was getting close to closing and the place was almost empty, so they were getting a jump on closing tasks. That was unfortunate. They are a standalone building with a nice large parking lot, and easy to spot as you drive along US 41. read more

The chicken was the best I have had in Florida, good size pieces that were cooked to perfection. Truly wish I could give them less than a star. Hubby and I have been wanting to try this place for a while and today we had the time to do so. From the moment we walked in the door we felt unwelcome. No one was at the host station. Several minutes went by and when a gentleman came up to us he grabbed menus and we followed hoping he was taking us to a table. No greeting, no eye contact. As soon as we were seated our waitress approached. No greeting just asked us what we wanted to drink. I paid her a compliment that her false eyelashes looked great and that was the extent of today's conversation. When she returned she asked for our order. Hubby asked if she liked the clam chowder. Her response she was "We don't get complaints about it." Wow, not much of a sales pitch. He did order it and we both ordered lamb gyros. The menu was very basic and there wasn't anything out of the ordinary. The chowder arrived and looked very different than any I have seen. Hubby said it tasted like beef broth. Once our waitress left I noticed there was an appetizer menu on the back of the wine menu on the table tent on our table. We saw a few we would have ordered but she did not return to check on us so we did not have an opportunity. She delivered our food and left. No ask of if we needed anything else, ketchup, extra napkins just walked away. The lamb and the pita were good but the tzatziki sauce was just plain sour cream. No dill, no cucumbers. Just sour cream from a tub. My homemade chips were heavy which makes me think the fryer was not drained and cleaned often. Hubby said his fries were not great either. Waitress brought the check and put it on the table. She did ask if we wanted dessert but when a server asks that after already ringing your bill, you know they want you to get out. We said no as we did not want to sit there uncomfortably any longer. Upon a review of the bill we saw that our server's name was Jamie and that the soup was $1 more than what was posted on the menu. We walked up to pay and looked at the menu again. We were correct. The woman ringing us up was new and was not sure how to fix it. She called for Jamie but a different woman approached. Between the two of them they deducted that the chowder was $1 more than the other soups on the menu. The menu does not state this. In fact, the menu doesn't state what soups they have. Nor does the specials board. And our waitress said so little to us that she did not say what they were. They said they couldn't adjust our bill but that they would tell the owner, who wasn't there at the time. Just another way of showing a customer that you don't care. The place seemed clean. It was pretty empty. But the decor is confusing. The sign by the road says they serve dinner but they close at 2:30. The inside has a down-home wood vibe but there's random car prints and Route 66 stuff hanging in the walls. But that's the least of their worries. Will not return. Do yourself a favor and don't visit, you'll just annoy the staff. read more

This is a lunch and dinner spot. Closed on Mondays only. You might think this is a diner, and it can be to some degree, but it really is not. It is more of your local spot to visit with friends, or share some lunch. There is no counter, there is booth and table seating. It does offer plenty of space for the wheelchairs, walkers and strollers. Since it is a breakfast and lunch spot, they unfortunately do not have brown gravy. A crucial item if they were a real diner. The place was jammed pack this morning and the crowd was mostly seniors. After all, we live in Florida and yes, it is season. Everyone seemed friendly, even though the service was a bit slow for the pace they were moving. The menu has a little bit of everything with two pages for breakfast options and another two pages for lunch options. I loved my omelette today. The western with Boars head ham, onions, peppers, and cheddar cheese, plus I added Swiss cheese and avocado, to totally elevate the taste buds. It was served with hash browns and multigrain seeded toast. The coffee was hot and I enjoyed the taste. I just wish someone walked around refilling it more often. The kitchen has their game on point and the servers get the orders correct. Both perks for us. My hubby loved his omelette and grits too. This is a local spot and the parking lot had some spots left. We order takeout from here because it's close and the food is pretty good but the service is really bad. Every time we go to pick stuff up something is missing. The girl who answers the phone does not know the menu or where anything is in the computer. We recently got takeout, they said 15 min, and when my partner showed up on time to pick it up they hadn't even started making it yet. She said the computer was down but you can't write it on a piece of paper? Or call me and let me know it's delayed? Sheesh. read more

Went for breakfast and was treated like we were a hassle for being there from the minute we sat down. Husband asked for Canadian bacon was told they have boars head ham. Asked for that with his biscuits and gravy, was given bacon. Waitress copped an attitude when told he asked for the ham. She snatched bacon and walks away rolling her eyes. Comes back with ham and slams it on table. Walks away and says you're welcome. When asked what the attitude was about she said she didn't have one. Very friendly staff, restaurant appears very clean. We were there for breakfast on a weekday and it was very busy, but did not have wait long for service or food.
