So far so good! I came here for the first time this past weekend with my friend and we are total FANS of this place. The shaved ice here is SOOO good. the ice is shaved liked powder and just melts in your mouth ~~ it reminds me of being in korea ^.^ the ones ive tried so far are the following: #1-- original, milk and red bean--- I like this one because it is not too sweet and had enough flavor to enjoy every bite. #2--( this is actually number 2 on the menu). Im not sure what this flavor is called but it tasted like rice powder. and this one is my favorite. Its similiar to that one korea rice cake with the light brown powder over it. ( very similiar to misu kalu flavor) #4-- ( this is number 4 on the menu) the macha green tea. this one wasnt so bad. It tasted like green tea ice cream but not so heavy and creamy like ice cream. with each order they serve a little serving of extra red bean with a swirl of condensed milk over it which is really nice :) i would definately come here again! read more

Walk by this place and was waved in by one of the waitress. Since it seem really invited, we decided to try it out. We are the mixed berry and the peanut one. The place looks very bright and clean. We ordered for take out and she packed in a cooler bag which was really cool. I had the walnut one with the rice cake bits. She told me that like shave ice but not.. I was not sure what she meant until I ate it. And she was right.... It taste like ice but it was creamy and it doesn't melt as fast. At one point, I left it out and was wondering why it doesn't melt at all. It eventually did melt after about 15 mins. I really enjoyed it and very excited about trying the other flavors. read more

Friendly staff ! Got a pleasant surprise of more gooey sweet red bean and almonds that were hiding in the middle of the bingsoo. The whole thing looked bigger than expected but was perfect to share among two. This was the perfect place for a light dessert. A friend who saw my IG story raved about this place and told me she dies for the sweet pumpkin one so I guess that gives me a good excuse to come back :) Overall, Anko is a great place to get bingsu and taiyaki. Place - It is little bit far from center of korean town. Inside, there are pretty many table to eat. Clean and modern place. There is a washroom. You need to get a key to use it. Menu is easy to read. Taste - I ordered a black sesame shaved ice. It seems a small ball, cute! But because of its shape, little bit hard to eat. Taste was great. I think better than sul&bean. Rice cake was also great. Black semame was also in the ice, so I could feel ita taste untill I ate all. Service and Price - Service was good. Anko is a hidden gem in ktown, serving as a nice spot to get some work done or chat with friends! I would say this place is underrated in terms of matcha. I have not heard much about this place, but I'm glad I have found it! I tried the strawberry matcha, and it was so delicious. The matcha flavor paired nicely with the strawberry, and I can tell that the matcha that they use is high quality. The only downside is that parking can be difficult to find. Shaved ice that is just right for summertime! I ordered the black sesame shaved ice, and as other reviewers mentioned, the presentation is on point. I like this flavor because it isn't too sweet, but refreshing (bonus points for providing extra anko and condensed milk in little cups). It's a very sizable portion and to be honest, I barely finished mine, and worth the price ($8). I recently tried the strawberry bingsoo at Anko and it was a delicious! The texture of the bingsoo is incredibly fluffy, more milky than icy, which I love. The shaved ice is really good, however I was pretty displeased with the service. We ordered two bingsoos and it took over an hour for it to come. They kept telling it was coming but people who came after got theirs and left before we even got to taste the sweet bingsoo. Cute ambiance and yummy desserts to try out. Got the Oreo shave iced , it was a bit on the sweeter side. But the pomegranate lemonade drink I ordered helps balance it out. We had the grain shaved ice (injeolmi) and it had the softest shaved ice texture I've ever experienced. Melt in your mouth. With little bites of Mochi and red bean and injeolmi powder! So good. Taiyaki were fresh and v hot. We had two custard and two red bean, also very good and crispy. Highly recommend! read more
