Okay, I was in the store for about 1 minute a sales man was right there to help me with everything I needed. Made an offer on a consignment gun, was accepted, got there, went through all paperwork, was at register to pay and leave when a manager came up and said they had called me on the wrong gun and I needed to pay $90 more. I told them that was their mistake, not mine, but they would only give additional $40 (their commission) off. They could have had a lifetime customer but instead have someone here telling you how they screwed the deal and wasted my time over $50. Very short sighted business decision. Lots of competition in the area for guns and range time; I will never go back. read more

Terrible customer service! Waited to sign up to shoot for over 30 minutes on a Saturday and finally reached the signup desk. After handing the receptionist my range card was told it had expired so I was handed a new agreement and told to go fill it out and get back in line. I told the receptionist I wasn't waiting in line again since I already waited over 30 minutes and she said I'm sorry but that's our process. This is not an efficient process and not good customer service. Need to reevaluate doing business here! read more

One of the best gun shops and nicest ranges in the state. Fair prices and some of the friendliest staff around. One thing that I really appreciate at this place is the on duty range officer. Not everyone is always safe at public ranges and it's nice to have someone watching your back, so to speak. My go to place for any purchase. This business has grown tremendously over the years. Initially customer service was deplorable, but now it's great. Employees are welcoming, helpful, plentiful, and I haven't gotten the all too common what-are-you-doing-here vibe from them I've gotten several times in the past. Pros: Location. Great selection of AR pattern rifles/accessories. Great handgun make and model variety for sale. Clean, safe, organized storefront. Cons: AR boutique. Poor rifle and shotgun variety. No AK pattern anything. Accessories for rifles non AR are also non existent. Pricey, but if you don't want to drive all over Michigan it can be tolerable. Gunsmith services are extremely limited to AR and Glock handguns. Can't do basic tasks such as sight replacement for SIG SAUER or Springfield handguns although they sell numerous models of them. read more

It's really nice, the staff is very friendly and very helpful. They have almost every thing you could ever want! But the only reason I give it 3 stars because of the price. They tout themselves as an inviting and safe (for gun noobs) place to get information about guns. This description is very accurate, we had 60 mins in the tactical bay with an instructor who was so awesome and helpful (even giving us an extra 15 minutes at the end). He showed us different target scenarios that he plugged into the system so we could try different things other than just shooting at static targets. He let us use his gun (an old WWI .45) and his enthusiasm was infectious. My wife and I had such a good 'date night' there we will definitely be returning!! read more

I think other sales associates are good but the gun range personnel are wrong people to deal with. Seems like they are always in a rush. I was in a market to buy a gun and they seems to be not very helpful and didn't even have the courtesy to pass me to a sales associates. Even their customer customer service e-mail website is not responsive to any questions. also, you cannot go to their gun range alone "because of a liability issue". read more

Great selection, reasonable prices, really nice indoor range! The best part of the range is that they have range supervisors that make sure people are being safe. Most indoor ranges don't have that and it should be a more common thing. The sales staff are knowledgeable and eager to help. Also, they carry a nice selection of high-end firearms that a lot of shops don't have, such as STI, Daniel Defense, Nighthawk, FN, and War Sport. Great place! read more

Took the basic pistol safety class today. Excellent experience. Tatiana, Mo, Barrett and Holli were great. The instructors were knowledgable, patient, and available to assist whenever necessary. I would highly recommend the class. read more

I wish my experience was the same as the other reviewers! The staff was effectively useless. With all my questions, I was simply referred to visit their website. I was interested in taking classes and was told by the range person "everything I needed to know was on the website". When I asked about the differences between, and what classes were offered, he again referred me to their website. I went to purchase a gift card, and I asked the sales person what classes were offered, and he said "I don't know anything about that, I'm just a salesperson and you need to talk to the person at the range or (again) visit our website". Why bother having staff at all if everything I need is "on their website"? That's the whole reason I went into the store was because I had additional questions that weren't answered on their website!! Not impressed so far. Let's hope their classes are better than their customer service. Highly skeptical... read more

I was very frustrated with my experience at Ann Arbor Arms. I personally have never used a firearm but I was looking forward to experiencing it. I thought it would be a fun birthday present for myself so I went on my birthday and I had a couple friends who were also interested in trying it out for the first time tag along. I called ahead to make sure that it would be okay for a couple of first time shooters. I was told that it wouldn't be a problem, we'd watch a video, sign some waivers, and be on our way no problem. Come my birthday, I was very excited, my friends came to Ann Arbor from out of town and we were ready to try something new. I went to the Range Check In desk and was told flat out that I was to leave because they were "too busy" today, I should come back another day when they were not as busy. I understand that guns are something to be careful with and that proper knowledge of how to use the firearms is important. The reason I am upset is because I called ahead and was told that it was okay and there would be no problem. I would have appreciated a heads up on this policy. 0/10 not a fun way to spend your birthday. read more
