Wow. Only haters have been writing reviews. Can't say I fully agree. I have been shopping at this Ann Taylor for years, as in more than 10, before it moved to this part of the mall. Like all stores, there are only so much staff at a store in any given time. If I really need help, I'll ask and receive the help I want, or come back later. What makes Ann Taylor a genuine win for me is that they carry a good collection of petite clothing, with quality better than most. Fit also tends to work better for me than comparable brands. Back when I was working, AT was a regular source for blazers and blouses. Even now, I come here to acquire blouses to attend theatre, opera, etc. Today, the cashier A I had was trying her very best to do what is right - to give the additional percentage off and to use my rewards dollars. She finally had to do a manual override, much to the dismay of the other cashier B who was telling me to use the rewards dollars on a different occasion. So, thank you to cashier A. read more

I will never order online from Ann Taylor again . The clothes are not sized correctly, and the sizes run way too big ! Also when you send something back and it is delivered with all the tags still on and not worn , they still have not refunded my money after 12 days saying delivered from UPS . I tried to call but on hold for an hour then when I tried to chat , no chat agents available. I will never order from Ann Taylor again!!!!!! read more

This Ann Taylor has a good stash of sale items. There is always a sale going on so I wouldn't be surprised if there are site wide % off sales. However I had a Wrapp gift from a friend on my phone, and when I tried to use it the ladies at the front gave me huge stink eyes and thought the gift was not legit. Luckily someone who was more in tune with apps was able to show her what these were and I was able to use the gift card. It definitely left a bad taste in my mouth because they kept on sniffing and glaring at me when I was trying to explain to them what Wrapp was. read more

I came in with my wife on Saturday around 1 clock to get a full line of summer clothes. She was doted on hand and foot. Shown every-way to wear the clothes, combos and belt selections. Kim helped us and kept showering helpful suggestions and tips for the hour we were here. I would definitely come again. Kim never seemed to tire with running back and forth to get my wife new selections. I am sensitive to pushy salespeople, Kim was not one of them. The service is actually pretty bad here. I came in once to buy a black dress for a funeral and ended up standing there waiting for a cashier for 5 minutes. They were all just standing there talking or doing something else...no one even bothered to look up at me. I came back to get a price readjustment, and I appreciate that they took the time to do that, but I once again had to wait a few minutes to get noticed as I stood in line. I appreciate that when I do get someone's attention, they are nice and polite...but it takes forever to try to get someone's attention...even when I'm waving at them from across the counter. read more

I spend a couple hundred dollars a month at Ann Taylor. I'm a business woman and well I like clothes. I was at the check out counter last week and there were camisoles on sale. Sign in front of them said $12. I bought one among other things. It rang up $12.99, I politely mentioned to the cashier that the sign in front of them says $12. She asked her associate (a 40ish, heavyset brunette) if the cami's were $12. The brunette barked at me that the sign was left over from last week. She didn't apologize or move the sign. Then the cashier folds up my clothes in tissue and puts them on the counter. I said could I have a bag please? She was handing me clothes wrapped in tissue with no bag. I walked out feeling like I'd been slapped. Is there such a poor talent pool in upscale Bellevue that you can't locate polite workers with their heads screwed on? Yep....as bad as everyone says! Thankfully I came in knowing exactly what I wanted. There was only one person who appeared to be working and she never came out from behind the register. She was clearly captivated by her cell phone! I had to find my own dressing room(per her instruction) and come out and find alternate sizes on my own. I am teetering back in forth, 2 stars or 3 stars..... decisions decisions. But I rest on 2 stars and this is the reason. I spend an absolutely ridiculous amount of money on clothes. I am on more than one store in Bell-Square Mall's frequent shopper list, they personally call me when they get shipments in and put clothes to the side for me. But here is the deal, I am 25 and I like dressing like I am 25. But I have a corporate sales job that requires me to dress like I am 35, have my shit together, and am a very powerful woman. Ann Taylor you fit dressing me in the above niche, but your service f*ing sucks! I have NEVER gone into your store and had one person help me, not because they are so busy but because they see 25 in skinny jeans and heels and must think she isn't going to buy shit. Instead you help the matronly dressed woman in her mid 40's and ignore me. But let me break this down. I am 25 with a job that most people have when they are older then me, I sold my house so I don't have a mortgage anymore, I don't have any kids therefore my overhead is at almost zero, and there is no hubby and boy in the picture so my money is mine to spend. Therefore that mid 40's woman who stays at home, has kids to put first, a job she doesn't have to dress to impress for, and a husband that will stop her from spending buckoo bucks at your store, should not be the only audience you target with your help, as you are hurting your commissions. I heard a rumor that a bunch of the stores were closing, maybe this issue has something to do with it. Due to this "service" problem, I REFUSE to buy anything from a store that isn't on the sale rack, which is sad because the accessories, jackets, dresses and what not always look so inviting. I go straight to the back right hand corner of the store now, and hit the 0 and 00 petite rack, which always fit perfect and are loaded with dresses. I buy so many pencil shifts, wrap dresses here it's crazy. The fit me perfectly, look appropriate, and I always find them for $50 or less instead of the $150+. They are just solid basics that always get me through, dry clean well, and have the handiest little fasteners for your bra straps so you never have a peekaboo happen! Also the sales staff needs to a lesson on style. I have seen them on more then one occasion helping a stay at home mom try to find some pieces and what they suggested in colors and shapes based on that woman's look and figure were horrible. For example once they were trying to put a middle heavy, apple shaped woman in a starched cotton pencil dress. I could not sleep at night if I didn't stop this horrific act and help. To take someone trying to improve their look and make them look horrendous in something is just cruel, or style stupid. Not sure which applies here. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. It amazes me how beneath standards the customer service at this location is. What's more alarming is that corporate doesn't do anything about this either. Well apparently based on these reviews from others, I am not alone in recognizing how horrible and snobby the salespeople and manager are at this particular store. Kelley, the store manager is a disgrace to the term "manager". Kelley should seek management courses to learn how to treat customers. What ever happened to "the customer is always right". Clearly not Ann Taylor's motto. This encounter with Kelley has caused me to never shop at Ann Taylor again and I just closed my credit card account with them as well. I have more rights under my American Express than this unethical company. Ladies, don't waste your money with this brand. Terrible, horrendous service!!! I was completely ignored for twenty minutes while I carried around an armful of clothes, never checked on in the dressing room, or approached to see how I was doing. It only made things worse when all the other customers were being helped. Nobody even bothered to say goodbye to me, even though the manager was right by the door! After I left, I actually decided to go back and provide feedback. I asked for the manager, who was right by the door. I politely explained to her that I probably would have bought everything I tried on, but the lack of service made me change my mind. She quickly and sharply responded that she was sorry and that they were busy. She wouldn't even look me in the eye. I said "ok, I just thought you might appreciate the feedback". She then responded with a less than sincere "Thank you" and continued to fold clothes on the front table. Again, she didn't even say goodbye! Honestly, I was so disappointed and offended by the behavior exhibited there I was on the brink of tears! I am currently contemplating writing an email or making a phone call to headquarters. I also found the service to be awful. Maybe it was because I had on my workout clothes and they didn't think I was going to buy. I had two sales associates greet me as I entered the store. I was then promptly ignored.No one helped me find a dressing room and when I went to make my purchase, I had to wait for someone to to ring it up. I usually go to the Redmond Town Center store. The service was very bad.Store associate was unprofessional . We went into the Bellevue Ann Taylor store 25 minutes before the closure, and the associate says "you don't have time to try" indirectly indicating to leave the store 25 minutes before closure. Quickly, we selected something, and went to the billing counter. Even at billing, the store associate was not welcoming. Not sure if she had a very bad day or going through some problems. If they continue to offer such bad customer service, they will lose customers & business. Unfortunately, there is no feedback system based on bill number and store associate number. At least that would have given the company an opportunity to train that specific associate on how to engage customers. read more

I absolutely LOVE Ann Taylor, which is why it pains me to leave a less than stellar review. I even have an Ann Taylor charge card! I visited the store three times in the last week looking for some professional wear and a professional holiday dress. Unfortunately, not one person acknowledged me during any of my shopping trips. During my most recent visit, I walked around with my arms loaded with clothes, nothing! I hung around the area near the cash register, no luck. One of the ladies stationed at the register sent the other employee home - because the store only had a few guests. I gave up getting help finding what I wanted and tried what I had found on. While in the fitting room, I added the items I wanted to my cart online, as well as a few items I couldn't find in my size to try on. I gave the lady at the register one last opportunity, after being in the store over an hour, but she was not interested in helping me. I went home and placed my order online, free shipping! Ann Taylor online gives you the option to return items to the retail store, since I live a few blocks away, returns will be easy. I hope someone reads these reviews, I want to love the retail store as much as I love the online experience. BTW, service at the Outlet in Marysville is stellar! read more

Being a young adult part of the t-shirt and jeans club, I was immediately looked over when I walked in. I needed clothes for a new job and I absolutely hate shopping. All 5 times I've visited this store, the only person to actually help me was the gentleman with tattoos. The service at this location is terrible!!!! The several times I have been to this location the staff has been rude, unwelcoming, and not at all helpful. I think the worst experience I had, however, was when I went in to exchange a pair of shorts for a smaller size. I explained to the woman I needed to exchange and told her the size I needed and all she said was "That size generally runs out fast we probably don't have it." WHAT?!? She literally made no attempt to help me. She did not check the floor, look in the back, or even offer to check another store. They actually did have my size, but I found it on my own no thanks to the staff. Having worked at a small independent retail store myself for nearly ten years now I fully understand the importance of good customer service and what that looks like....and this location is far from it. Was in the store with my mother-in-law that had changed sizes and I purposefully called ahead to book an appointment and asked for the best associates name to specifically help her. Best experience ever! Not only did SALLY (ask for her by name) help, she was patient and kind on the busiest day of the year (day after Christmas). Wow, so many negative feedback for this location and I don't blame the customers. I used to be one of them. I went to this AT location years ago but the collection was dated and the service was zero. I go to this mall frequently and never had any desire to stop by this store. However a girlfriend wanted to check out the sale so I went with it. My experience was great! High value for my $. I had gone over my shopping budget for the month but couldn't pass the amazing sale that was going on. The clothes were trendy and comfortable. Some really pretty and would easily transition from day to night. The associates were super helpful. Apparel including the sale section were neat and tidy, so easy to shop and pick up loads of items. I will definitely be back. Give AT at this location a chance. It was worth my time. read more

I came here on an emergency because they said they could help. They only made it worse. The ladies at Redmond Town Center called this store to have them hold a pair of pants for pickup. They provided all the required information. Funny thing though, the pants were 40% off in Redmond but Bellevue refused to honor the sale. The lady that placed the call from the Redmond store confirmed the price and sale before disconnecting. When I showed up to pick them up story changed. They were belligerent and said I had to purchase an entire suit to get the 40% sale. The pants weren't even part of any suit! Guess I'll take my business elsewhere. As a 40 something stay at home mom;) who is proud of the unpaid work of raising the next generation with manners and values, I went to this particular store to get my style back. I have to say, it was a great experience and I was impressed by the commitment of the managers and sales associates who served me well. Mi was top notch and helped me pick out some fabulous pieces that were stylish & fun! Promotions at this store are excellent, and if you ever have a problem (as I did with one item) your needs are taken care of with courtesy & respect. I would recommend looking at each item piece by piece as the quality of some pieces are excellent, other items not so well made or inferior fabrics. My new favorite store! read more

Unlike the previous reviewer, I had a good experience with service here, and I'm in my mid-20s, too. I came in with my mom, and we were looking around at stuff -- mostly stuff on sale. Two different people asked if they could open a room for me, and one came back later to check on if I needed different sizes. The sale they were having was good, and I got a suit jacket that's regularly $169 for $30. Not bad. Of course, I love Ann Taylor and Ann Taylor Loft clothes, so I might be biased already. read more

I've recently lost some weight, and I have a job interview coming up, so I needed to look for an interview suit that fits. I went to Bellevue Square for a pleasant high end shopping experience on a splurge item to help land a better job. I found some possibilities at Talbots, and struck out at Nordstroms, and the last Nordstroms sales lady to help me suggested Ann Taylor. OK, not my usual store, but I'll give it a try. I went in, got ignored by the sales staff, went and looked through every single one of the jackets in the tailored suit area on my own, and found that they did not have a single jacket in the store that was over a size ten. Surprised at this omission in a store that I was lead to believe carried all of the misses size range, I went over to the desk where there were two clients making purchases and two sales ladies. Both sales ladies saw me arrive and stand in line. Just for the record, all four women - the sales ladies, and the clients, were taller than average height, and in the size 12-14 range. The sales lady was telling the client in front of me that she was sorry they didn't have that particular item in the client's size, but that she could order it online. The sales lady finished up the transaction she was working on and the client left. The sales lady promptly turned her back to me and started re-arranging hangers. I said "excuse me, could I get some help?" She said, "Oh, I thought you were with her" Pointing at the other client. Really? I arrived separately, and she had clearly seen me do so. I said, "I'm looking for an interview suit." she pointed at the area I had just searched thoroughly on my own and said, "Our suits are over there." I said, "I already looked through those racks, do you have any tailored jackets that are over a size ten?" She said "No, but we could order one for you online." She didn't have to look, she already knew that they didn't have any suiting that was over a size ten, so it is clearly a store policy to not carry the full size range that the company offers. What is the freaking point of a brick and mortar apparel store in this digital age? I exists so that customer can try on clothing for fit. Clearly the management of this store doesn't want anyone who is above a size ten entering the portals of this store. What a nasty corporate attitude.
