I hadn't been to the eye doctor in about 4-5 years and she was very friendly and patient letting me know all of the tests she was doing and how they would help determine a prescription. I had problems with my right eye and she was able to explain why, what the numbers in my prescription meant, and also recommended me eye drops. Unfortunate experience at this optometrist. The glasses I received did not come close to matching what my eyes needed. On returning glasses I was asked to keep trying them and if they still did not work for me to return the glasses. When I did return the glasses an EXTREMELY rude manager said I was "way outside of the return time" of three months. Due to opening a new business, fostering an ill baby and the onset of covid returning glasses was not a top priority for me in early 2020. I made the mistake of assuming that this optometrist would stand by there work and do the right thing but was wrong. If you need to return anything here it's a 3 month policy and the clock starts ticking the day of your exam (even if it takes 4 weeks for them to be ready) staff are uncaring. read more

I've been wearing glasses and contacts now for about 6 years and I've struggle looking for a good eye doctor. I am very happy I found Dr. Lam. I called for an appointment and was able to get one the same day. I showed up thinking my appointment was at 2:30 but turns out it was at 3 and I had misunderstood the receptionist. The doctor pushed her lunch back to see me at 2:30- wow! The doc did plenty of test and provided me with one pair of two week wear contacts and two pairs of one day wear contacts. Even though I'm sure she was hungry she still took her time and She was friendly and knowledgable. She has great prices as well! Her office is nice and clean and she was great machines. This was like finding a jewel at sea. The location was inside the Target store with huge convenient parking, easy to find, glasses store next to the doctor's office but separate and private. Latest high tech pain free equipment. The exam was courteous, quick, Dr. Lam approaches everything with sensitivity and professionalism, addressing all my questions and concerns, she followed up with great recommendations and attentiveness. I took my 6year old daughter and my self to get eye exams. We had Dr. Wilson and he was so pleasant, friendly and extremely gracious with my daughter and my 2 year old son who was with us. He was patient with explaining things to the kids and very attentive to both my daughter and I with any questions we might of had. I was also highly impressed with the advanced technology they had. No more eye drops for dilation. It was an easy camera shot! The only thing that was a bummer is that their selection of glass frames i didn't feel is as large as the Ventura optical location. Dr. Lam is such a wonderful person and doctor. She offers comprehensive eye exams, contact lenses exams (hard and soft), office visits (red eyes, foreign body removal, eye floaters, eye flashes, and any other eye emergency). I am a full time contact lenses wearer. So she has helped me find contacts that work for my horrible astigmatism. Her office is always fully stocked with contacts and I got a trial pair at my appointment. Because I overwear my contacts I developed GPC (giant papillary conjunctivitis). She checked it out for me, gave me samples of the drop! She gave me a prescription for meds and she even followed up with me a few weeks later and let me know what the progress is. If you are looking for a doctor who will spend her time with you, give you the best advice, and create a positive patient experience. I love Dr. lam. And I will be coming back next year!!
