First time at this location, and first time for our friend who met us Coastal decor with great resin/ seashell filled tables. Clean bathroom with several stalls. We had Bella as our server, and she was warm, welcoming and very attentive. She thoroughly explained how the menu was set up, etc, and was just a delight the entire time. We got charbroiled oysters which were delicious, the grilled salmon was tender and well flavored, and hubby enjoyed his lobster bisque. Review is for 2 visits in same weekend. 1st visit we sat at the bar for lunch so we could have a least some view of water while we ate lunch. All of the outdoor seating was either taken or reserved. Service was decent. My grouper sandwich was delicious. The house made chips were very good. I also got a side salad which was very good. My husband got the grouper dinner and also loved it. Our friend got the Cobia sandwich which came with 2 sizable pieces of fish. (Cobia is firm white fish). As it happens this place has happy hour from 3-6 daily so we returned here on Sunday to have a drink. The restaurant was very accommodating by allowing us to put 2 tables together. I've not been to this location before but found it a nice atmosphere. We were quickly seated and a server came and took our drink order. The menu has a large variety of sea and land choices, as well as some daily specials. Disappointed that they were out of lobster bisque. I ordered salmon with teriyaki sauce, rice and coleslaw. Marcie, our waitress, was attentive to our every request and insured that we enjoyed our dinner. The onion straws appetizer set the stage for our main course of grilled, blackened salmon. The food was okay. The prices were great! They have a ton of specials of the day which is nice. The ambiance was cool inside but it was crowded, we had 3 little children, and there was a 40 minute wait so we sat outside. They had fans outside so it wasn't too hot on an August night. Our server, Sean, was nice and did a good job. This review isn't a reflection of him, rather the rest of the customer service and food quality. 1 star removed for food quality, 2 for the service. Details below. I would not recommend the Cortez location of AMOB. We had 3 kids with us, one is a 10 month old baby. Knowing we have little children, we were happy to sit outside. When we were loading up in the car in the parking lot a thin older Caucasian woman came outside to bus the table and made a scene complaining about the mess on the floor "oh hell no", raised her arms and was very rude and unprofessional. A tall, younger man came out shortly behind her and followed her lead complaining about the mess. I saw and heard all of this, as did my children, so I said "they're just kids" and the man quickly realized he was being observed and changed his tune. He said "it's okay; I've seen worse" and tried to downplay the situation. My 10 month old did toss food on the floor. It wasn't anything outrageous for a baby - 3 sweeps of a broom and it would be clean. When children come to a restaurant, accidents happen - food ends up on the floor, drinks get spilled, etc. We tip generously knowing this happens. We stack our plates and try to tidy up the table. The rude outbursts, especially from the woman, are unnecessary. read more

Came here with my friend's family. Very nice place. It was crazy busy when we arrived and we had a total ditz of a waitress, but I can't fault her for going above and beyond for us despite her forgetfulness. I chalk it up to it being hella chaotic and packed in the place. We did get free dessert though, since she screwed up and gave me sweet tea with lemon in it and my shrimp fettuccini alfredo with lemon in it after we told her MORE THAN ONCE that I am very allergic to citrus fruits!!! Food Service & Ambiance at excellent prices, Anna Maria oyster bar has made many changes over the years, no longer keeping condiments such as tartar sauce and cocktail sauce in big squeeze bottles on the table, for health reasons I'm sure, The staff are always accommodating when I ask for cocktail sauce and saltine crackers:-) Complementary poor man's oyster while we wait. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that they have a fantastic prime rib, at what some would rite-fully call a seafood restaurant, not kidding, try the prime rib, I believe only available on Thursday or Sunday. read more

The food was so good we ordered the hush puppies to start and for the price it was a good portion and so delicious.
