Meli was EXTREMELY HELPFUL with helping ensure everything was setup in terms of insurance coverage, procedures, etc. When we arrived, the whole process was so smooth which was helpful to calm my daughter's nerves. She just needed her tooth extracted which took less than a minute, AND Dr. T explained everything he was doing so we were never left guessing. I thought it was so strange and funny, and I mentioned it to my husband and he said he noticed it too! Babies are so funny hahaha. So we took my 1-year-old and 3-year-old here for their annual check up and there was a small room for the kids to play in while we waited to see the dentist. It was a little sparse but it was nice they even had a room for the kiddos to play in. I filled out the first patient forms on the iPad which was extensive and took a long time to complete. I do wish I had the option to do it with pen and paper or to do it online beforehand. When the Dr was ready to see us, I took my 3-year-old first and he started cryinggg. I felt so bad but Dr. Atiya and the assistant were kind and accommodating. I also noticed Dr. Atiya looked so young! It was a pleasant surprise though as I usually have a good experience with younger professionals. I feel they are more up-to-date with the latest research and technology, better listeners to patients, and generally are better providers. Anyway, we were able to get my 3-year-old checked while he was sitting on my lap instead of lying down in the chair. My one-year-old unfortunately cried the entire time they checked and brushed her teeth. But she made it through just fine and I swear, after this experience at the dentist, she lets us brush her teeth without any complaints! Maybe she's just grateful it's us who brush her teeth, not a stranger haha. After the "cleaning," they each got a balloon, a Zollipop (sugar-free lollipops, a game changer), and a dental goody bag. I think this alone made their whole dental visit worth it. I hope this office does well - the front office people were nice, the Dr and assistants were patient and accommodating, and the office was very clean and modern. However, yesterday was the straw that broke the camels back, I will never go back. For years the service has been steadily slipping. My youngest son had to do his tongue tie procedure three times!!! My oldest son had a cavity filled with the laughing gas that their doctor decided to turn off early while she was still mid procedure and he came to while she was still working on his mouth, he panicked and was traumatized and yet I was still stupid enough to come back for years. I got a text message about being charged $50 for my appointment if I have to move cancel or reschedule within 48 HOURS of the appointment time, But then they didn't see me until almost half an hour after our appointment time??? ABSOLUTELY NOT, I should charge them for wasting my time. Their subpar Cleaning was done in under five minutes and yet our appointment took an hour and a half. The office staff makes you fill out a long form for every single appointment even though no medical history has changed when I commented to them that their allergies and medical history hasn't changed and they can keep the information they've already have on file which is for years she refused and rudely said it was policy. You people can go there if you want, but I will not be wasting any more time money or energy at that office.
