My teeth are really healthy so I don't see the main dentist often but the couple of interactions I've had with her have been very kind. But my absolute most favorite person to talk to and get my cleanings done with is Huang. She's so down to earth and easy to talk to. She's careful and wont wet you and poke you on accident. She explains everything she does. And the whole cleaning experience feels like a spa! They even give you a hot towel to clean your chin/mouth area up when you're done. There's snacks in there and drinks. Everything is clean and the outside area is adorable. I don't have trouble parking and I don't have to wait. Just walk in and they are ready for my appointment! I saw a video online recently that said it's actually very difficult to find good dentists to do cleanings because many are shady and will only have their dental assistants polish your teeth. I do not have that experience here. The technology is modern and advanced, even some of my old dental places didn't have what they have here. Note: I am a cash paying customer. I do not go through insurance. It's a little expensive compared to other places but you get what you pay for. The experience is much much much better here. And for anyone worried about dealing with people who have accents from their home country, that's also not the case here. They speak fluent English with no accent. Which I know is a weird comment but I think some people care about that. So don't worry about it. It's also super cool that the dentist and hygienist are sisters lol. I recently became a patient at Myra C. Luna DDS, Inc. after losing one of my front teeth and…read morescheduling an appointment to have it replaced. My first visit was very thorough. They took X-rays, performed a 3D scan, and the dentist carefully reviewed everything with me. The examination revealed that I needed a deep cleaning, one lower molar had a large cavity that would eventually need extraction, my missing front tooth was still present beneath the gum, and the tooth next to it had significant bone loss and needed to be removed. I was scheduled for four deep-cleaning appointments with laser gum treatment, one quadrant of my mouth at a time. I have never been a fan of needles, teeth cleanings, or dental appointments, so I was expecting the worst. Instead, the dental hygienist completely changed my expectations. She was incredibly gentle and skilled. I barely felt the numbing injections, experienced no pain during the procedures, and when the anesthesia wore off after each visit, I still had no pain. That was true for all four appointments. During my third cleaning, she offered to have the extractions done while I was already numb. I appreciated the suggestion, but I wanted to speak with the dentist again before making that decision. He took the time to discuss my options and agreed that we could postpone extracting the molar since it wasn't causing me any discomfort. I really appreciated that there was no pressure to proceed unnecessarily. When extraction day came for the tooth with severe bone loss, it turned out to be a difficult extraction. It wasn't nearly as loose as I had expected, and removing the broken front tooth beneath the gum was also somewhat challenging. Afterward, they fitted my flipper, and seeing my smile restored immediately was a wonderful feeling. Recovery was a little painful for about three days, but everything healed well. Overall, I have nothing but positive things to say about my experience with Myra C. Luna DDS, Inc. The entire staff was professional, caring, and took the time to explain each step along the way. The only reflection I'd offer isn't about the office at all--it's advice I once received from my children's dentist Dr William Fan many years ago: "Don't give up your teeth." Looking back, I probably should have asked whether only the broken portion of the damaged tooth could have been removed instead of the entire tooth. That's simply something I encourage other patients to discuss with their dentist before making a final decision. From the moment I called, the front office receptionist (I wish I remembered her name) went above and beyond to help me. She even helped me access my insurance card through the portal, which she absolutely didn't have to do. She also got me in for a same-day emergency appointment. Two days later, when the pain became unbearable again, I called back, and they were kind enough to fit me in the very same day once more. Dr. Lyn and his assistant, Marie, were incredible. They immediately put all of my fears at ease. They were patient, compassionate, and took the time to make sure I was comfortable throughout the entire visit. I didn't feel a thing during the procedure, and they made sure I left feeling so much better than when I arrived. You can genuinely tell they care about their patients, and that made all the difference. They treated me with kindness, respect, and understanding during a very stressful time. I know some people have shared negative experiences with other staff, and I understand everyone's experience can be different. The office ended up calling the police, and I was escorted out without receiving the treatment I came for. Patients deserve honesty, transparency, and respect. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.
