So many great reviews and some questionable, since I'm such a huge fan I thought I'd add my exuberant review to the mix. I have gone to stores in NY and LA (now devastatingly defunct) and the salespeople were always kind, helpful and patient. My ring, I look at it every day like a million times. I love it so much, and think it's about the most beautiful thing. I also have the serpent necklace and the mini tiara ring that I go back and forth wearing with my engagement set, They are well made, and the design is at both times classic and contemporary. Not the best customer service. We came in to see what we like after making an appointment. The lady who was there was not enthusiastic at all. The store also has very limited availability to see. They also didn't have any natural diamonds to show. We wanted to see the spark between the shapes but all ring to show were made of cubic zirconia. How could you select a ring for 20K without even seeing the diamond and different shapes and how they spark. We settled on few shapes and lady told us she will follow up "tomorrow" and she never did. We had to contact her again, and then she responded that "it's been busy time" and we asked her some questions and same, long wait for response. We end up not getting a ring from this place. You are spending 20K on the ring and someone responds 5 days later and says "we are very busy". We went to another place and got a custom ring that is beautiful and service was way better. read more

We purchased my custom engagement ring through Anna Sheffield and the entire experience was an absolute dream! I'm in Atlanta so I did the entire process remotely. The team was amazingly responsive, specifically Allie Paz who was the point of contact throughout the creation of my ring. I was looking for a very specifically proportioned champagne marquise diamond so they sent me videos of stones they'd sourced that fit the bill for me to choose from, which was super helpful. I always say I'm a very difficult client since I'm a designer by trade, but every correspondence was met with informative updates. Allie would follow up with me regularly so that I could stay abreast of progress. And, of course, when the ring was completed she called to make sure I'd seen her email which included a video of the spectacular finished ring (that I definitely fell asleep watching while we waited for it to arrive). The final piece is to DIE for. Even my super nit picky eyes couldn't find a single flaw! From every angle this piece is truly a work of art. All in all this was an amazing experience! We will absolutely be looking into getting wedding bands from Anna Sheffield. I get so many compliments on this ring. My Fiancé and I were lucky enough of stumble upon the Anna Sheffield pop up shop they have at the Ace Hotel in Chicago. Since that day last year we have been obsessed with these designs. In November, my Fiancé started the process of custom designing an engagement ring and was immediately helped by Allie Paz. Allie was beyond helpful in walking him through the steps for someone with no experience in buying jewelry and diamonds. No question went unanswered. Allie went above what was expected in making sure the entire process went so smoothly! He had seen the photos of the stone during the diamond selection process and the sneak previews Allie would send him with updates but he was not prepared to be blown away when the ring arrived at home. My boyfriend and I made an appointment last week to come in and look at engagement rings. The studio is really small and they don't even offer you a seat during your consultation. We had just come from another consultation where they were so kind, upfront, helpful and welcoming and this was a totally opposite experience! The woman "helping" us clearly didn't think we were serious about buying anything or didn't think we looked like we wealthy enough. She was condescending and rude when responding to our totally normal questions and she was offended when we asked about different prices, sizes and settings. We asked if they price the settings separate from the stones (which a lot of places do) and she basically laughed at us and pretended she didn't understand and then said they can't discuss prices. That's a red flag! She also didn't seem knowledgeable at all. She had to keep looking things up and didn't know much about the products. She also only showed us about 3 rings when there were tons more in the drawers. She also couldn't even pick up the diamonds she was showing up with the tweezers and kept dropping them. We had to lead the whole meeting and she basically gave us short sometimes one word answers. She didn't ask us anything about what we're looking for, what's our budget or style etc. She clearly had no interest in helping us. She also said she would email us and follow up the next day and never did. Really poor customer service. Definitely felt like she was judging us and didn't think we could afford anything which is funny because we had a pretty high budget and really liked one of the rings and were serious about purchasing, but she never bothered to ask us. I can't believe I never wrote a review for this so here it is, 2 years later. After the nightmare of ordering a customized ring elsewhere, I decided I didn't have enough time and would buck up the bones to get the real thing from AS. I contacted them exactly 10 days before my wedding in New Orleans with an emergency request for one of their tiara rings that I wanted as my wedding band. I had tried this on previously in a ring that was almost double my size so I wasn't sure if the tiara would actually fit with my engagement ring the way I wanted to but I decided to just give it a shot. I called the shop and filled out the online customer service request for good measure. I spoke with Doug on the phone and luckily they had the ring in my size available and they told me that it was cheaper to ship it down to New Orleans than to have my mom pick it up from the shop and bring it with her for the wedding. The ring arrived 3 days later, leaving me a full week before my wedding to sort out anything I needed to but luckily I didn't because it just happened to fit perfectly above my engagement ring. I'm extremely grateful to Doug for working that out with little to no stress, and to the universe for making it the perfect fit. read more

Asked if it could be worked into custom ring design and were told "no" (which doesn't make sense if you advertise as a custom jeweler). The rep assured us she wasn't pushing diamonds, then informed us that they don't offer any bands without diamonds. Wrote our name down on a scrap of paper and said she'd follow up, which of course didn't happen. We don't expect to be pampered, but it just feels like we weren't being given all the options. read more

I purchased an engagement ring through Tia, who was an absolute pleasure to work with. We also purchased our wedding rings and we are very happen with everything we received, and my fiancé absolutely loves Anna's designs. We were very reticent at first, because of the mixed Yelp reviews, but we decided to proceed with caution since we liked working with an independent designer on the LES and because we admired the work. We did discuss our reservations with Tia and she helped reassure us and was extremely responsive throughout the whole process. Since I brought my own legacy diamond in, this included an outside appraisal which I needed to deliver to the store and a short period where they looked at the diamond to make sure it would work with the setting. Once we had settled on the design and the ring, we paid and were told that it may take up to 4 weeks. Happily, the finished ring was delivered in about 10 days, so we were very thankful. The wedding rings also came early too- we were thrilled about this since we had read this is where a lot of the issues had occurred for other customers. We did have one small issue. The engagement that was delivered, although gorgeous, was 3/4 size too small. We found this out after my fiancé had been wearing the ring for a week and wondering if here fingers were swollen and that was what was making the ring so smug. We did stop into the store after a couple of days to ask, but the person that was working there ( not Tia) told us to wait a couple of days since it was a new ring. A few days later we found out it wasn't us... I brought the finished product in for a final appraisal at another jeweler and they told us the ring was 4 and 3/4 instead of 5 1/2. Although it was annoying at the time, overall we are extremely pleased. Of course the ring should have been measured again (or for a first time) before it was delivered, and when we went into the store to ask, they should have done a measurement then too. However, they did resize the ring for us free of charge. Given how happy we are with the rings, I consider that pretty minor. Tia was great, the rings are beautiful, and we are going to enjoy them for the rest of our lives! read more

However, I like their values as a company, in addition to their unique designs, so this was worth the price for me. The ring is beautifully crafted with elegant details to elevate the classic setting. It also sits low in the prong setting (Pro: doesn't snag as easily, isn't as showy. Con: straight wedding band wont lie flush, doesn't show off the diamond as much) For my wedding band, I visited the store in LA and worked with Ruth. I must have tried on over two dozen combinations of bands. She was able to keep it all straight and emailed me a summary the next day. I ended up getting the sparkly Tiara Curve band. I absolutely love my engagement ring from here. It's beautiful. However, my husband had an awful time with customer service. They responded to emails infrequently and sporadically. He had to push back his proposal plans because the ring took far more time then originally estimated. Their response to the ring taking longer was something along the lines of "it happens" with no apology. I would have ignored this poor customer service because I have the ring, and everything worked out. However, I emailed them regarding wedding bands. I wanted to know if they had a suggestion or some photos of curved bands with rings that looked like mine, so I could decide which style I wanted to go with. Never received a response. We actually recently moved to NYC, and I have thought of just going into the store. However, it seems that people have had issues with customer service there as well, so I haven't been excited to do so. Came here with a friend to pick up her engagement ring (her husband was out of the country in the Army) and the woman who helped her was pretty rude. My boyfriend and I went in with such high hopes, but less an hour later we left with more questions than we came in with. An engagement ring is one of the most important things I'll ever own, and I shouldn't be made to feel embarrassed or ashamed for how many carats I want it to be. Every time I would ask to see a different size or style of ring or diamond, it seemed like a chore. I should have known this would be a subpar experience when the morning of the appointment I was asked to come in an hour early, which I happily did. When I say that every request was met with a sigh and an eye roll, I am not exaggerating one bit. My boyfriend and I finally got to the point where we couldn't take it anymore and decided to leave. The icing on top of this awful experience cake was that Andrew didn't even remember my name, despite having a pen in hand and writing down my boyfriends name immediately. He promised to follow up with some options, and when he did, it was one link to one ring. Not exactly what I would call "options". If you want any sort of personal attention or education on diamonds and rings, this is not the place for you. I had a great experience here purchasing a band for my partner, as a surprise. I did send an email ahead of time saying I was planning to stop by and letting them know what I was interested in - I do believe that some of the negative experiences some others here have had are as a result of just popping in. I think appointments are preferred and recommended. I suggest calling ahead or emailing before visiting the store. I purchased the Sheaves band in white gold. I had a great experience in the store. Liz was very helpful, warm, and didn't try to up-sell me when I was interested in seeing some of the more expensive diamond bands. The products are all beautiful and there are some really unique designs. When I got home realized that I should have ordered a smaller size. Liz changed my order easily and promptly delivered the ring - beautiful packaging, discreet communication, great delivery...I would definitely work with Anna Sheffield, again! My partner loves the ring and I'm so happy with my choice. I searched endlessly for a unique band (it is for a domestic partnership, not marriage, so I wanted something a bit different) and this was truly the perfect piece for this important milestone. read more

Bad service, bad communication. My fiancee and I agreed on an engagement ring and wedding bands which the customer service agent agreed it would take 6 weeks to create. No problem. The issues arose when I picked up all rings 6 weeks only to find the setting on the engagement ring was not what we asked for and the stone size was smaller than requested. Another 3 weeks passed after she said yes to wait for the correct ring. After we picked up the ring a 2nd time, we noticed the ringsize was incorrect! So as of 2 months after proposing, my fiancee has only worn it for 2 weeks total. It still hasn't been solved and we received a "we'll call you" type of service. My fiance proposed to me with a beautiful ring given to him by my future MIL. The stone was gorgeous but the setting was not really my style, so my fiance offered to have it reset, plus my mom had given me some heirloom jewelry from our family, so I was lucky to have a lot to work with. I searched for weeks both online and in person to find a ring I liked. Even though I live in Los Angeles and this shouldn't be so hard, I couldn't find anything until I ran cross Anna Sheffield designs online. I already had plans to be in New York, so I decided to dive in and just do it! I started with an e-mail to Naomi in their custom bridal department. This was in June 2014, for an appointment with Anna in July. Flash forward to my fiance and I in New York, and we go to the shop at our scheduled time, and they have clearly forgotten my appointment. Anna wasn't even there. After frantic texting, they said she would be in in about an hour, and meanwhile we could work with Ryan to get stuff set up. We get our ring sizes and discuss what kind of design I'm looking for, and eventually Anna shows up. After about 30 minutes with her, we now have a sketch and a plan to design my engagement ring using stones from my MIL's ring, and a wedding band with stones from my mom's rings. I gave them probably $15k worth of jewelry, sign an intake form, and that was it. Oh, and the kicker was that Anna was going to be in LA the following week for custom appointments. Hellooo, did no one think to suggest this as an option to me so I wouldn't have had to waste my vacation time in NYC? I was told by Ryan that I would be hearing back after about a month. He e-mailed me later that day to confirm some things we'd discussed, and after another week I got more questions from Naomi, so it seemed like stuff was in production. After a month, I hadn't heard anything from them, so I e-mailed. Days later, I get an e-mail back from Ryan saying that they will need a few more weeks for the rings, around September 5. Again I didn't hear back, so I e-mail (and call) on September 10, and then get an e-mail from Ryan that it will now be done on the 17th, shipping to me on the 18th. I asked if they could send a picture just to make sure everything looks good, and get him my shipping info and paid for the rings. On the 18th, when Ryan has assured me I will be getting my rings, SHOCKER, they're not there. Now I'm freaking out because I have no idea where my rings are. So I e-mailed again to inquire why my thousands of dollars worth of jewelry is missing. When Ryan gets back to me the next day he said that because I had asked for pictures, they held the rings and didn't ship them. His explanation for why he didn't inform me about this was because he had shifted from sales to marketing/PR. I suggested he could connect me to someone who IS in sales who could maybe do a better job. Also the pictures he sent of my rings were modeled on a woman with terrifying witch hands (see attached). Finally, on September 23, I get my rings. They are gorgeous, which is great because I cannot continue to work with these people. Ryan finally connects me to another person in sales named Liz, who I wanted to talk to about getting some information about my rings so I could get them appraised. Not a surprise, but she never gets back to me. Because I am a glutton for punishment, I followed up again in January when the frustration of the whole ordeal had worn away. I wanted to get started on my fiance's ring and needed the info they had about his ring size and style preferences. By then, they could no longer make the ring he wanted because they switched manufacturers and couldn't match the gold color he wanted. This was exactly what I needed to come to my senses and work with another jeweler for my fiance's ring. Meanwhile, Ryan gets back in touch to say that they have NONE of the manufacturing information about my rings that would be helpful in getting an appraisal. It wasn't a surprise, but it was just the rotten cherry on top of this shit sundae. I have been thinking about this review for some time now and after reading other reviews, it seems like my experience was par for the course with these folks, unfortunately. I get so many compliments on my ring, and while I wish I could say that I had a nice experience or that I would recommend AS to others, I just wouldn't. After trusting this company with heirloom jewelry and giving them $5000 of business, what am I? CHOPPED LIVAH? It's not a good feeling to give a company thousands of dollars of business and then to be ignored. Especially when it's for something incredibly important and sentimental like bridal jewelry. We wanted a test experience before diving in with an engagement ring, so he bought me Topaz/Diamond necklace for Christmas. My boyfriend was lied to multiple times and told that it would be completely possible to ship the necklace before Christmas. Then heard nothing. No shipment notification, not outreach regarding why the package hadn't been shipped. On top of that, they went radio silent when he was trying to email them to check. Ultimately, they had to overnight the package to his parents house where we were spending Christmas only to find the piece was completely mis-marketed online. The stone was TINY, although in the pictures it looks to be a good size. The setting was completely eating up the Topaz and the diamond wasn't visible to the human eye. My now fiancée and I were looking for an engagement rings at local stores and online, and weren't having much luck finding a design that worked for us, until we discovered Anna Sheffield. We mainly chose them for their elegant and modern ring design. I went to the store while I was visiting NYC and consulted with one of their employees to finalize a ring design. I thought the person I worked with was extremely knowledgeable, and always tactfully suggested design changes that he thought would work better for our overall vision of the engagement ring. Since I wasn't local, I was given an extremely detailed video of all the gemstones that the gemologist thought fit our criteria (i.e. each gem in different types of lighting, settings, on fingers etc.). After the ring was finished, I was given a similarly detailed video of the final ring to approve prior to having it shipped to me. The ring turned out even better than we had originally imagined! The detailed videos made choosing the correct gem extremely easy, and the video made for my final approval accurately depicted the final product, even though the videos did not do this ring justice when compared to what it looks like in person. I'm quite happy I chose Anna Sheffield to design and make our engagement ring, and we will definitely be going back to them for the wedding band. read more

I chose to wear them yesterday for a sacred ceremony, and throughout the day I recalled the moment when I received them. I remember how special I felt opening the box, and seeing two rainbow moonstones staring back at me...the energy of that moment remains in my heart. Shortly after that my boyfriend took me into the shop to get an idea of more jewelry I might like. I saw sparkling precious stones crafted in the most unusual, and stunning ways. My best friend is going to get engaged and has been dying over anna sheffields rings for over a year now. She was visiting me in nyc and we paid a visit to the store last sunday to see the rings in person. Photography truly does not do the rings justice. We were both smitten. My best friend can be very shy and lets face it: we dont roll around in diamonds everyday so i think she was a bit intimidated. Our sales lady was older with reddish hair and glasses. I wish i had gotten her name because she is the sole reason i am leaving this review. I couldnt believe the lack of customer service. This is supposed to be an exciting happy moment and she drained all the joy out of the experience. At one point i asked her which designs were the most popular. Im a former buyer and i currently work for a major department store so i am genuinely curious about this kind of stuff. "They are all equally unique. And besides thats NOT the way to pick out an engagement ring." Was the sales associates response. NO SHIT! But im clearly not picking a ring! And im just trying to make conversation since she wasnt telling us anything about the materials or the designer or the inspiration behind the collections! God forgive me for trying to make her presence less awkward. Its 2016 and yet pretty woman is still as relevant as ever. This past Christmas (long overdue review, I know!), I worked with Liz at AS to design a Bea Arrow green amethyst ring for my mom as a gift, and the process couldn't have been easier. We did everything via email and phone; they were extremely helpful in helping me pick a gemstone size, ring material, etc., and sent lots of pictures to help me decide. I ordered it pretty close to the deadline for the holidays but they still made it happen, overnighting the pre-wrapped gift so that we got it on Christmas Eve with no problem. The ring was absolutely amazing, delicate and striking and exactly like the photos. Ultimately, my mom decided that it wasn't exactly what she was looking for (perhapsssss more my style than hers, it turned out); however, Liz made the return process very easy and gave ample time for my mom to wear the ring and make a decision. A small jewelry shop in the lower east side. I'm from New Mexico and the jewelry artist Anna Sheffield is originally from New Mexico so I was interested in taking a look. Lots of nicely designed and unique jewelry, with some especially cool men's rings. Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Have lots of ready-to-go pieces (e.g,. ear rings) but they seem to primary specialize in working with people to create unique personalized wedding rings. Clearly committed to doing something that looks great but is different than Tiffany's or De Beers, or etc..... Although the artist is from New Mexico, the jewelry doesn't really have a southwest look (although there are little traces of 'New Mexico' in the shop, with what looks like San Ildefonso pottery in a case in the back of the shop). The place is surrounded by lots of cool and unique stores, art galleries, cafes, and restaurants so lots to do in this area. read more

I was referred to Anna Sheffield's from a friend and it was the best piece of advise. I worked with Naomi and Liz and they walked me through the entire process and helped me create an absolutely beautiful Marquis Bea Ring. My girlfriend was thrilled when she saw it, and i can only thank Naomi and Liz for helping me. When it came time for our bands we looked nowhere other than Anna's again, and sure enough they were better than expected. We went to Anne Sheffield from Canada we drove to NYC. It was quite a destination trip and we were excited about picking up 2 rings. One a solitaire and the other a band. Upon arrival we were told that the band wasn't ready but the solitaire was.Regardless , it was very disappointing. The solitaire was not what I expected. It was also very disappointing. I had only seen it in an enlarged photo on the Sheffield website. It was sooo small, and expensive! I don't even wear the solitaire ring. So sad. At least we got to have a few blissful days in Manhattan. read more

I fell in love with Anna's rings after seeing them on a blogger that I follow, so it was no question that I wanted my engagement ring from her! She makes a stacked ring like no one else (my dream ring). My now hubby picked the perfect style for me and I was instantly in love as soon as he opened that beautiful box!! Now unfortunately the sizing was off and as I do not live in NYC this is where things got a little tricky...but everyone on the staff at AS was a delight to work with every step of the way! For months I looked over this designers website and found several rings I loved. My favorite was a custom design I saw on Anna's Tumblr site. I finally had a chance to go to NYC and visit her store and was very disappointed. The sales people were more interested in their own conversation than in helping us. When I asked about having a custom ring made the salesperson got even weirder and more reluctant to help. She gave me a sketchy answer and explained that the designer does not work on the weekends which I completely understand. However, I was there on a Friday and had sent an email to the store earlier in the week asking if I needed an appointment on either Friday or Saturday for a custom ring and was told that I did not and to just stop by the store. When I asked about making an appt, I was told the designer was out to lunch and had no clue when she was going to be back. I asked if someone could call me to let me know when she would be in and the salesperson looked at us like we were out of minds. She reluctantly took down my number and suggested that I give her my email address. Several hours later the store did call us to let us know of a time we could stop by again but we decided not to go back based on our initial experience and how we were treated the second we stepped foot in the store. Main conclusion: I've experienced better customer service at a gas station and this was a jewelry store where we were willing to spend anywhere from $10K to $15K on a ring. read more

I only have great things to say about Anna Sheffield and her team. I proposed to my (now) wife last year, and had a beautiful ring designed by Anna Sheffield. For a guy, purchasing an engagement ring can be overwhelming, but the entire process was super friendly, transparent and educational. I had a lot of fun buying the ring, and I learned quite a bit from the staff at the New York location who were all very sweet and welcoming. The designs speak for themselves, but the customer service is just as great! I'll give Anna Sheffield my warmest recommendations. read more
