I don't really follow all that much what other folks say but when I see them accusing the restaurant of "paying yelpers" - Well, frankly not only is that disingenuous, but it's pretty low class of them. I was not paid a penny to write this - I got no discounts - nothing that I did not pay for. We ordered the following: Fried Artichokes with Ricotta Cheese Baked Clams Lasagna Rigatoni Bolognese (made with beef veal and pork! The right way!) Chicken Parmesan Braised Pork Chop stuffed with Mozzarella and Prosciutto Chocolate Filled Ravioli with Vanilla Cream Sauce. Pictures are attached - Service was top notch - so was the food quality - the pasta perfectly cooked to al dente - had the slight bite to it which meant they took it out of the boiling water at the perfect time. Great restaurant. Delicious Italian. My husband's mother is an 87 year old straight from Italy. Her lasagna is his favorite meal ever. He ordered the lasagna. I said, ohhhh, you're gonna be sorry!!! He loved loved loved it. Said it was just as good, if not better, than his moms. I had the chicken Marsala which was also fantastic. 2 other family members had pasta dishes which they loved. This restaurant has very good food. The owners are very sweet and I have to mention that the bathroom is beautiful. If I had to make one suggestion I would ask them to have cranberry juice on hand. I asked for a drink with cranberry juice and the waiter abruptly said no we don't have it. Also the bread could be better when you compare it to Ginos or Vesuvios offerings. Came here for dinner during a week night, place wasn't too packed. Thought about going next door for a burger, but my friend wanted a three course meal. Waitress wasn't in any rush to come to us, so we studied the menu like an indepth novel. We started off with the Zucchini Fries appetizer with marinara sauce (for some reason my friend can taste the tomato sauce came right out of a can). And then another app of Ricotta MeatBalls, which wasn't bad. I got the lasagna and a side of meatballs. I was so excited. The ricotta with the meatballs was very watery, the meatballs over cooked. The lasagna was layers of flavorless pasta and meat tomato sauce. No bechamel. No cheese. I used my own locatelli cheese. The bread, while soft, was bland. A must try restaurant in Brooklyn! I'm so happy I stumbled upon Annabella's! Their pasta is made fresh in house and it shows. We started with fennel and orange salad, which is refreshing and a generous portion for sharing. I had the eggplant parmigiana with pasta, but you can also get it with potato croquettes and veggies. This was easily the best eggplant I've ever had. Very thin slices stacked with just enough cheese to hold it together. The true star was the sauce. Packed full of flavor! My mom had the pear ravioli, which was also delicious. Definitely a unique menu item, and almost more like dessert than dinner. They have good wines available to drink with your meal as well. Went last night to Annabelle's pasta. After going around the dyker heights Christmas lights in the area we decided to come here. We got there around 6:30. They had a table of four ready for us. Place is homey. And was greeted by a nice lady. I guess the owner. We liked the ambiance. However that was it. The prices seemed and definitely a bit over priced for the quality. We ordered 4 simple dishes. I ordered the clam with white wine. The taste of the spaghetti was just awful. It tasted like I was eating shoe strings. My daughter ordered simple ravioli and she said it was bad as well and my son ordered a simple spaghetti dish as well and said the same of his. So we waited approximately one hour for our dishes. As well as saw glances from other customers looking at where their dishes are. We kept looking for why would it take so long for such a small place. It shoukd have taken no more than 20 minutes. I should have taken a picture of the receipt. They added a gratuity fee of 18 percent on a party of four. The menu said gratuity fee is added on for party of six. So fo my 4 dishes and calamari appetizer with a 3.50 coke the price came to $170. For that price I should have been much better. Last time ever going there anyway read more

Delish pasta!!! I had bookmarked this place for lunch but ended up going for dinner. Family and I walked in and there was no one around. We all ordered pasta with the exception of my husband that ordered chicken Marsala. Everything was absolutely delicious. Calamari to start. Super yummy and crispy. Annabelle's is hands-down one of my favorite Italian restaurants in the area, and as an Italian-American I eat a LOT of Italian food so this means something. Lol Their food is always super flavorful and delicious. And they have a decent amount of choices on their menu, so even the most picky of diners (like my younger sister) can find something to eat. I love their homemade pasta in particular, especially their pear raviolis and the Penne Annabelle. In relation to the restaurant itself, the design is very pretty and charming rustic Italian. Dark wood tables with white table cloths. Whenever I would go with just my grandma, there would only be one or two couples seated at the same time (this was during the work week) and the music would be playing softly. This was nice since that meant she could hear me even with her bad hearing -- it's not that easy to find places like that near Bay Ridge and I really appreciated it. read more

Crunchy calamari, fried zucchini ( not greasy ) & octopus salad ....made for excellent appetizers and more than enough for four . Homemade sangria was ok. Our main courses were pasta dishes , again generous portions , we split 3 dishes among four people . Angel shrimp pasta wAs a light tasty sauce . Penne Annabelle was the favorite , wonderful combination of flavors , tagliatelle with shrimp was good but too bland for my taste buds it needed more garlic and I added hot pepper to spice it up . Tried this restaurant last night after seeing the Christmas lights in Dyker Heights.. they were beyond accommodating!!! We've eaten here a few times and each time the food and service have been excellent. They have a small menu but everything I've tried has been good. No problem parking except when Dyker Park has the Christmas lights on display. A very friendly atmosphere, good for families. Meh. I thought when I read the reviews of this restaurant it would be a really positive experience. All of the reviews seem to speak well of the food and service. I really like the atmosphere and the warm reception I received from the hostess who was also the owner. The food was OK and although it was fresh made pasta mine was slightly undercooked and my salad was nothing to write home about. As for the service, there was room for improvement. We waited for ever to get water, bread, our meals, and any thing else we asked for like Parmesan cheese and drinks. The restaurant staff were clearly overwhelmed and do not have enough help from each other or management to keep up with the pace of business. If you are looking for really great Italian food you may want to head to nearby Bay Ridge to some of the greats. When I read Yelp reviews I try to read between the lines. The most amazing reviews are most likely paid yelpers or friends and family of the owner. The worst reviews are from a disgruntle customer. Yes every restaurant has a bad day. First we had the Grandma Pie, the crust was pre-made either frozen or delivered from an outside company. With so many great pizza places in Bayridge, you have to provide a great product to be competitive. The pasta dish was not seasoned at all. Food good and service average our waiter was abrupt in a hurry and we were the only guest there. Bread cold no butter or oil offered. Came here twice within 3 week's span. First experience was great, nice decor, good atmosphere. The food was good, nothing to write home about but good for the price point. Second visit, was much busier, and my significant other and I stood at the entry for 10 minutes without being greeted. The waiters walked by, even made eye contact and just glanced away like no body's business. I understand if you're extremely busy, just let us know how long the wait is, or even just say hi. The food was excellent! We order calamari, salmon, eggplant parmesan and rigatoni with basil pesto. The eggplant parm is not breaded for those that are more health conscious. The service was a bit slow to seat us and take our order but I'm not taking any stars off for it. It was the dyker heights light show so they got a lot of foot traffic that I don't think were planning for on a tuesday night. Just was an unfortunate coincidence.
