Opened in '67 by a Neapolitan when the Marlboro Theater was an anchor you could eat well before or after a film. Back at it again. Consistency is key to any good restaurant. Today I tried the eggplant slice and it was really good but wish it wasn't floppy. The vegetable pie from Torres is unmatched in this neighborhood. I will continue to say that on repeat. They flood the pie with many veggies and it's really quite good. Sometime I get that pie, and add pepperoni or sausage to it but the other night, I added both, and Torre's did not play lol. They absolutely listened. Thanks for the amazing service. This is a solid 3.5 actually, not the greatest but better than most! Pretty solid pizza, we've gotten their cheese pizza, sausage pizza and margherita pie... all pretty solid. My kids love the sausage pizza... but really wish their delivery is more consistent. 90% of time - pizza gets here safely. That 10% chance is insane... pizza looks like it got crushed by something heavy, or that one side got smushed... ugh. Food was excellent once again. Customer service was friendly and accommodating. We ordered the Fillet Of Sole Franchese with spaghetti for the first time. It was mouthwatering and savory with a pinch of buttery lemon zest with every bite. Portion was also a very good size. Spaghetti was made perfect. I'be eaten here about 150 times in the last 5 years. This is no exaggeration. I usually get a salad, particularly the medeteranian salad. Juicy chicken, roasted marinated peppers, almond slivers and mozzarella. Honestly they load the salad up. The portobello salad is really good as well! Mushrooms and cheese are a good combo. The pizza is pretty good as well and I'm a bit of a pizza snob. Place is a great lunch spot if your on the area. Got two plain slices and some beef patties tonight. The slices were thin and had a pretty nice, crispy crust, but hmm....the rest of it was pretty lacking...... The patties were nice but nothing very special.. Besides that just by taste and quality alone I don't think it's worth the price, their hygiene was also pretty appalling. After ringing up my order and handling my cash with his bare hands, the guy used those same bare hands to pick up my pizza slices and beef patties. After the slices and patties were warmed up, those same bare hands took them out of the oven, fingers that were just handling cash were now all over my food! This is pretty unacceptable even before Covid and so much more so now! No one handling food there was wearing gloves, and everyone handled cash and food with their bare hands without washing in between. read more

I stopped by this small pizzeria while waiting for the b6 bus at around 4:30pm, and there were pros and cons. The staff was very friendly and stated that there was no minimum for using a debit card. The selection was okay, not super exciting but the veggie and eggplant slices did catch my attention. The worker heated up my slice and it was ready pretty quickly. I enjoyed the texture of all the toppings, but it was a bit too salty and heavy on the cheese. I also noticed that there was a small menu on the counter which listed different salads and wraps which I did not know they offered because there was no big menu to look at. I just saw what was in the counter display and that's it. Later on, my stomach was hurting from the food so I'm not sure if it's because it was sitting out on the counter the whole day until I ordered it, or if it was just too heavy and I couldn't handle it. Luke Warm, no less. The crust was so greasy I had to heat each piece in my toaster oven just to make it edible (otherwise it tasted like eating greasy, borderline uncooked dough). Favorite pizza spot in the neighborhood. I've been a loyal customer for 3 years now. Recently moved but I was thrilled to find out they still deliver to me! Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious but the grandma slice is probably the best I've had. The bbq chicken slice also hits the spot every time (though I personally remove the onions). I have ordered from Torres for 15 years. Sometimes twice a week. I ordered dinner for my family tonight and my surprise there was a roach in my wife's food. I called the restaurant to tell them I did not want the food and wanted a refund. The guy on the phone said that he would refund my money but I needed to give back the food. That wasn't a problem. He said he would refund me for the food but not for the three Snapple's I ordered which were about $4. I was shocked that they didn't give us the full refund considering now we had to order from somewhere and wait a longer period of time to eat. Then started to eat and realized it didnt taste like anything. There was no flavor, it was still cold even though they heated it up. I dont live far, and this was the only pizza place open on memorial day. If i knew it was going to be this bad i would have gave up and got chinese food. Then started to drink soda and realized it was expired. It expired in February and its late may. It still had the polar bear from Christmas time. If this place cant sell coca cola in time then how can the food be trusted to be not expired. I probably will be sick later on, so i wanted to yelp this fast. I made the mistake of thinking this was a full out Italian restaurant, but based on the food this was more like a pizza place with some pasta items on the menu. I ordered the rigatoni carbonara which was actually just ziti with bacon and Alfredo sauce and an excessive amount of onions. The fresh mozzarella, tomatoes & roasted peppers was okay, but it was obviously packaged Polly-O mozzarella. The fried zucchini was good though and I'll order that again, with just pizza next time.
