Was super excited to stumble across a cozy pizzeria with friendly staff and a delicious menu. I visited La Strada a couple of times for lunch. My go to is the chicken parm with penne ala vodka. The bruschetta is fresh and they have big portion sizes. The La Strada staff is friendly and accommodating. There's plenty of indoor seating (and a restroom). It can be difficult to find a place to eat around here, so this spot was super convenient. La Strada is a great go-to for comfort food on the go!

Life is short F....it up! Family, Flavor, Friends Was in New York for the weekend and the last few times we missed out on New York slice. Decided to go to this place as it was more of a local pizza shop rather than the touristy spot that everyone knows about . Traditional New York Italian slice good flavor crispy on the bottom And plenty of selection. Glad we stopped by here in the area. Give this a try.

Simple yet perfect! The cheese pizza was fresh, hot, and loaded with gooey, flavorful cheese on a crispy golden crust. Every bite was delicious and satisfying--sometimes classic really is best!

This is a cute sit down place. We got a few different items like a pizza slice, pizza rolls chicken parm hero, chicken parm with spaghetti and a fettuccine alfredo. The pizza and lizza rolls were your classic foods. The chciken parm dishes were delicious and definitely an item to get. The fettuccine alfredo was missing a cheesier taste but was still decent to eat. The service was nice. The workers made sure to check in to see if we were happy with the food which we were.

Loveeee this place. Prices are affordable. Food is really good. There are a lot of options to choose from. All the employees are pleasantly nice. From their rolls, to wheels, to pizza slices, pasta, everything is good. I'm not sure it deserves to be deemed the "best" in Brooklyn but it's definitely a place worth going to every time you're craving Italian. It is in a very convenient location, right near Maimonides. Even though I have a lot of good things to say about this place, there is one thing negative... They don't use gloves when they make their food, specifically their pizza. So every piece of shredded cheese, ingredient, and dough is touched by hands that you're not even sure were washed. Kinda makes me cringe thinking about it but the food is so good. Ambiance is pretty chill. Very casual. Nothing fancy. It's a good place to eat for lunch and a quick bite.

After seeing that Jentana across the street was closed for the month, I walked over here instead for pizza. Wasn't mad about it - I had never been to either pizzeria before, so I didn't really know which one's better, what to expect, etc. Upon walking in, I immediately noticed how cozy and inviting the place was. Classic orange tables/booths, floor to ceiling windows, the standard pizza display/counter. There were also people eating outside on the patio chairs - definitely felt like a comfy neighborhood spot. 10/10 ambiance. Unfortunately my mom and I were taking the pizza to the nearby hospital, so we didn't stay to eat. We got 2 plain cheese slices, a chicken/broccoli slice, and a grandma slice. I was holding an iced latte from the nearby Dunkin' and when we went to go pay, the man who took our order joked, "Iced coffee too?" Haha no, charge us for just the pizza pls! The total came out to be a little over $12 for those 4 slices. That sounds about right, but now that I think of it, maybe we should've gotten a cost breakdown to be sure lol Pizza was really good - it was 1pm and I hadn't had breakfast yet. I was also craving a grandma slice. Tasted authentically Brooklyn.

When you are so entitled you don't need to wear a mask during the covid pandemic

Always had good food and a good experience ,til today. My first venture for take out since the pandemic and this is what I walk in to. Sal.. a self important, entitled owner with no mask..directly In front of food. Thankfully his restaurant men who are cooking and packing up orders had gloves and masks on . I get that its 91 degrees and restaurants are struggling but if your customers have to wear a mask and social distance..you're not setting a good example.

Funny and nice man behind the counter. Pizza was okay, yummy if you are hungry. I am a pizza snob too and I didn't find this extraordinarily delicious but food enough to fulfill my hunger at the time.

Cash only, BYOB (with rules depending on how many people), and a time limit on the table. Know what you want when you sit down. Menu is easy, pizza, calzones, sometimes pasta. Simple. Is it worth waiting in line for - maybe - if you have 2-3 hours free and nothing else to do and it's a nice day, sure. But honestly can't say I am running back to do it again. Waiting in line to get added to a waitlist that still doesn't always guarantee you will sit down to eat at the requested time - we were seated 40 mins after checking in (unusually long, never had more then 20 mins or so in past visits) but still a strange system, keeps the spot exclusive I'd guess. Have visited several times and always have had a good meal and the prices are very fair. Seating is not super comfortable and they pack you in for real, the restaurant is also unnecessarily dark and loud - But not in a bad way? I can't explain it but the very delicious pizza makes up for the weird ambiance and all the rules... definitely something to experience atleast once.

I've eaten here, come to the Bushwick Block Party to see Action Bronson perform, and spent enough time around Tiki Disco to associate the place with a particularly inventive, free-spirited period in the neighborhood. The dining area still has that wonderfully idiosyncratic character: exposed beams, communal tables, mismatched details, and an open kitchen turning out genuinely excellent pizza. What impresses me most is how naturally Roberta's became more than a restaurant. Food, music, parties, outdoor spaces, and an extraordinary mix of people all seemed to converge here, giving the place a cultural gravity that could never have been designed by committee. It remains one of those places that instantly takes me back to my bachelor years and an especially fun chapter of my time in the city, when Bushwick felt endlessly creative, and Roberta's seemed to sit comfortably at its center. This is the first restaurant we've been to with 20% auto gratuity for a party under 6. But the borderline dishonest part is that the check that you sign tells you in tiny letters that tip was already added, but has huge font for additional tip and written out tip calculations, so it is very easy to tip 40% without noticing. Sometimes I do tip extra generously, but I don't want to feel like I was tricked into doing it! Looking thru reviews here, I see other people also experienced this, including people in small parties who were locked into the 20% when it should have definitely been 18%. :/ So close to a good experience, but ruined by tricksy billing.
