Came here for my companies annual holiday get together. The vibe is really cozy and sound levels are in that nice spot where you dont have to talk hushed but not so loud its distracting. For an early Monday evening there was quite a crowd so it must be really popular. We started with a couple of orders of Baked Clams for the table and they were really good. Im a bit of a Baked Clams expert and these were perfect amount of garlicky bread crumbs with tender juicy clams. For my main is where things get a bit confusing. I ordered the Linguini with Crab Sauce special. When i told the waiter he thought i said Clam sauce, i said no Crab sauce and got a confused look. I showed him it was on the specials menu and he was like oh ok. Well when the mains came out mine was clearly not what i ordered. Tried to flag him down but he was back in kitchen and at that point I was so hungry I said the hell with it as it looked good and just ate it lol it turned out after research the mystery didh was Linguini Nerrano which is Linguini with thinly sliced sauteed Zucchini coins in a creamy Caciocavallo sauce. The pasta was very well cooked and the sauce with a bit of black pepper was very nice. Not what I ordered but still quite good. For dessert I went with the Pistachio Tartofu which is Pistachio Ice Cream with almonds and cherry in a chocolate shell with plenty of whipped cream. It was decadent and delicious. A perfect holiday season omg im gonna need to work out way more tomorrow kinda dish. The pizzas coming out of the Coal Fired ovens looked amazing and I would love to return for one. A Bay Ridge gem! We stopped by Campania for dinner and were blown away by how delicious and light everything was. We ordered the Margherita pie and baked clams, and both were next-level. The pizza was coal-fired to perfection -- crispy yet airy, and so light it almost felt like we didn't even eat pizza (in the best way possible). No heaviness, just pure flavor. The baked clams? Campania reopened this February and I've dined with friends twice in one week, Saturdays are extremely busy thus make a reservation online in their website. Very disappointed in their deliveries. Today was the fourth time this year I had to walk down to the restaurant to get what was missing from my order. Why tip a delivery person if I have to end up going to the restaurant anyway. Pizza was excellent, had a good amount of truffle taste, paired with the parmesan and arugula, exceptional flavors. Italian egg rolls were crispy and had unique fillings. Fried calamari was seasoned well, fried perfectly and fresh. Service - 5/5 Service was excellent, everything came in a timely manner. Haven't decided on how many stars to give yet. I'll do that at the end. Met some family members here ( son and his significant) it was my second time here, but very long in between. We shared everything we ordered. Ceaser salad (ok ) half a square pie( somewhere between good and great, can't decide) and two pastas - penne vodka ( very good ) and money bags ( stuffed pasta in a cream red sauce) that bordered on delicious. Negroni's are so easy to make yet so many bartenders botch it up ( yep this one was) oh well it's alcohol so I drank it gratefully.Service is what I expected an order taker and not much more than that. The room is nice and we had a great table. It had a nice fee to it too. Ok so stars, service is a 3* food and drink is a 4.5 as well as the room. Over the years, we have been to Campania over 20 times. It's been at least a year since our last visit. Overall the menu is the same, but the preparation and plating left a bit to be desired. The pear and Gorgonzola salad was a pile of uncut Bib lettuce. The pears were large thin slices decoratively ringing the serving bowl. My feedback is that a salad shouldn't need to be cut with a fork on my plate. My fork picked up a leaf of leaf of lettuce the size of my hand. I was also disappointed with the pizza dough. It seems overly flat, felt and tasted like cardboard, not fresh same day or overnight dough. It was missing the salty, yeasty flavor pizza dough should have. The place is always gets a good crowd and the service is great, I'm just a bit disappointed that things change. read more

We enjoy Campania very much in Staten Island it's beautiful it's amazing food amazing menu amazing service quality everything but when you come to Bayridge, it's a different story. We came here and we were served everything incorrectly. No condiments or pepper with our pizza our pizza barely had any cheese on it. It was like a microwave Totino's pizza that I ate when I was a kid. The mussels were very watery and the salad was made incorrectly however we didn't Say anything bad. We gave a review that was still fair talking about the great parts and the bad parts because we are very honest people but the owner didn't like that so he came out and said that it was a problem that we even did a review and we should've just came to him. They also said during the review response to come back for another time and I said well on whose dime ? why would I spend $100 for a failed experience and spend another to try again but feel free to give us a gift card and I didn't ask for a refund but the owner was upset and said actually here's your refund anyway you shouldn't have wrote the review. It's clear that this is why we need reviews because people like him cannot take criticism even the criticism that comes with compliments. LMAO . He is obviously inefficient at what he's doing and inefficient for the people and just made a mess of a business I feel bad for the hard-working employees here which we tipped well even w their mistakes. Lovely! I came here with some work colleagues to celebrate the upcoming holiday break. They were very accommodating for my party of 12 and gave us an area in the back. As the reviews have stated, the space is small. The service was great, they were very attentive to us and made sure our drinks were full and we had everything we needed. We ended up ordering 4 pies for the table (Margherita, white, hot honey and veggie). For me the margherita and veggie were outstanding! The crusts were perfect, thin but not too thin, flavors were excellent. The hot honey was my least favorite, it tasted like a sweet pancake and I didn't finish it. But it's really all preference. I really enjoyed the slices I had. We also got the pear salad which was good as well. It was a nice appetizer to open the meal. I was really craving pizza on a hot summer night, so we headed to Campania. It was our first time and we chose to dine in. The restaurant was not too crowded, with a warm ambiance. Service was fast friendly and attentive. To start we ordered the fried calamari with spicy tomato sauce. It arrived piping hot, and with plenty of lemon to squeeze on top. For our mains we chose the Melanzane pizza and penna Ala vodka with grilled chicken. The entrees came out about 15- 20 minutes after our appetizer and we were so ready to dig in. The pasta was cooked Al dente and pasta to sauce ratio was excellent. The pizza had a thin crispy crust, with fresh tomato and basil sauce, mozzarella, fried eggplant slices and small dollops of ricotta here and there. We met the owner who was friendly and affable. To end the night we took a tiramisu and Caesar salad to go. Both were very fresh and the dressing seemed homemade. Cute quiet little dinner spot that has very romantic vibes. I remembered the great pizza I had the last time so that was my reason for coming back today. It was great to see an old friend Seveno who is the manager. The last time I saw him was when he was a waiter at 101 restaurant about 1 block away on 4 ave which is now Positano Restaurant. Sooo glad I did. They have a great business model and outside of some additions to the menu, everything is the same. What makes them so popular? Must be the great service, great home style fresh food, great service (our server Brittney was amazing), great selections at the bar,being well staffed, good prices and plenty of choices! Appetizers, pizza, pastas, entrees, sandwiches, pastas, deserts, specials and the list can go on and on. There is usually a wait in the evening and after 6 pm the place did get packed. It's great for almost any occasion for family and friends. We started with the shrimp oreganta. You get 8 nice size shrimp, the shrimp was super fresh, the sauce was amazing and complimentary fresh, baked bread. We also shared the ortolano pizza which I remembered from my visit 4 years ago. Then I had the cookies and cream gelato which was amazing as well. I could have easily eaten two of them. The white sangria was great as well, not too much ice. I would highly recommend Campangna for a great Italian food and great service. My friend is allergic to pepper; the manager made sure there were not any kind of peppers in our food or near our food. We greatly appreciate that on their part. Food - from the appetizers to pies to dessert, everything was phenomenal. We wanted to try more entrees but we were quite stuffed when our apps came out. There are no words to describe the orgasm I felt after eating their Lombardi pizza. The truffle oil and arugula just pair so well with the ham in the bottom. Campania has long been on my list when it was first recommended to me by another fellow Yelper (thanks Jeanine!) As it is located in Bay Ridge and therefore not a neighborhood I frequent often, it took me some time to make my way here but I'm so glad I did. I came here for a Saturday lunch with my family around opening time, and by the time we left the restaurant was more or less packed. We ordered the calamari ($20) as a starter, and the carciofi salad ($13) as recommended by our server, and the Amalfi ($20) and the Piccante ($18). The calamari was really well executed; crispy and throughly breaded without being too heavy, and seasoned well. The marinara sauce was just tart and tomatoey enough to whet your appetite. The carciofi salad had the eponymous artichokes, tossed with olives, arugula, and a mountain of shaved Parmigiano. The lemony brightness of the vinaigrette and the peppert arugula were the perfect pairing for our two pizzas. Out of the two, I liked the Amalfi better, as the white pizza made the crust a lot crispier without the sauce weighing it down. The Amafli was very garlicky but the sliced zucchinis and the straciatella were wonderfully sweet and the pancetta a touch too salty. Overall, it was very bold in flavor and complemented the salad better than the Piccante, which had a very classic flavor profile; sweet from the marinara, salty from the sausage and pecorino, and creamy from the housemade mozzarella. However, I did not think it was spicy in the least bit, nor did I get any of the gorgonzola. read more

My boyfriend and his family are from Bay Ridge, and during my visit from LA they brought me to this beautiful, cozy restaurant , and I'm so glad they did. The service was absolutely fantastic; we were constantly checked on and felt so well taken care of the entire time. The food at this pizzeria is beyond the sublime. Excellent seafood (the mussels were amazing) and their appetizers were amazing. The star of this menu was their Margherita pizza. As you can see, the presentation was on point and it was charred the way a coal-fired pizza is supposed to be. And I loved every single bite! And my three year old son ate two slices. He loved it! After visiting this place multiple times over the past few years, it's time to write a review. No reservations are accepted. Seating is on the first come, first served basis, so plan accordingly. During peak dinning hours, this place is packed, so come before the 5pm dinner rush. The two of us snagged a table at 5pm on a Friday, and by 6pm, there wasn't a single open table, and customers kept coming and going at a steady rush. The restaurant is fairly small, seating no more than 30 people at a time. Not suitable for large parties [six to eight is tops that they would be able to accommodate, given advanced noticed. Indoor and outdoor [not heated] seating available. Since the space is so limited, you can observe part of the kitchen, cordoned by glass, watching how cooks roll out pizza dough nonstop. Service is quick. Quite a lot of regulars come here, and you can witness them hugging the managerial staff & waiters. Gives this place a homey feel, seeing so many families return over and over again. Despite this place being small, it is very loud. You will have to raise your voice substantially, to maintain a conversation. Casual environment that's great for a laid back catch up with friends and family. Get the large [16''] pizza--the price difference is five bucks, but the size is considerable. The 12'' pie is tiny--more of a personal pie. Not good for sharing. The 16'' pie is good for sharing. Two can easily split it and be full without ordering anything else. The crust and the dough is delicate and crispy. Thoroughly enjoyed it. The only issue I had was that the first time I had it, it had enough sauce and toppings [buffalo chicken option], but the second time, there were tons of bare spots of dough all over. No sauce, no toppings. Just plain bread. The cook was very stringy with ingredients that turn plan bread into pizza. You can do half and half, so you can try two different flavors on one pizza. Buffalo chicken ($24) comes with a nice spicy kick [not too spicy, so don't worry]. Tasty combination of melted bleu cheese and ricotta. Lombarda $25 was delicate, with prosciutto, parm shavings, and truffle oil creating a harmonious blend of flavors. However, it was topped with arugula, which did nothing but distract from the flavor combination. Picante ($23), as the name suggests, was spicy, so we drank a looooot of water offset the heat from the red chli flakes. Out of three, my favorite was the buffalo chicken both times. $15 meatballs in tomato sauce was a great appetizer portion for sharing. Loved the presentation. Four meatballs, two slices of foccacia, and a side of ricotta. Very filling. The meatballs themselves, however, were bland and underwhelming, and had a rough texture, like they have spent too long in the freezer. $18 baked clams [12 pieces] were delicious and light. Great sauce [white wine and garlic]. All the pasta portions, except lobster ravioili (which contains exactly six raviolos, but has a delicate, addictive lobster sauce), are a great size for sharing. 3% credit card fee is added to every check.
