Without hesitation, I wholeheartedly recommend the Cobble's Bench Shoe Repair in Annapolis Mall for all of your cobbler needs. I've visited this establishment many times over the past year and have always been pleased by the service. Napoleo, a gracious and gifted cobbler has always provided timely, and excellent service. Today I went in to inquire about putting a lift on a left boot to help with my gait. One of my legs is an inch shorter than the other and my doctor recommended that I try putting a new sole on the bottom of the bottom of the shoe with the shorter leg. That was not appealing to me at all! I'm an active, stylish woman in her early 60's who is not yet ready to give into the publicly physical manifestations of age. Intuitively, Napoleon sensed my struggle and made some suggestions. He disappeared for about 15 minutes and came back with a life changing solution to my situ. In the few minutes, he created right there in his shop, an insert that will bring balance to my gait. it took severAl attempts to get it right because he and his wife Carla wanted the perfect fit. I took my Christian Louboutins to the shoe repair shop to have a tap fixed on one shoe and a protective cover put on the other. I was promised that the repairs would be completed by Thursday. When I arrived at the shop at their scheduled opening time of 10 am, it was closed. I returned on multiple days, but the shoes still weren't ready, and the shop continued to open late. I had to speak to the mall securitmanager to resolve the issue. Finally, after several days of waiting, I received my shoes, only to find that the repairs were poorly done. It looked like a child tried to fix them. Upon closer inspection under better lighting, I noticed that the leather on my iconic red pumps was scratched up. When I confronted the person who had repaired my shoes, he became defensive and dismissive, claiming that he works on items worth more than $1000. This response was unacceptable, as the principle of the matter was the poor quality of the repairs, not the cost. His rudeness and lack of professionalism were very disappointing, especially considering that my shoes were new. I informed him that I would be seeking legal assistance to address the situation. I am from the mid-west and wear my cowboy boots nearly every single day. You could say I abuse the !@#$ out of them. Napoleon has resoled them over and over for years. This time was different. There was little left to put back together. They looked bad... straight out of an old western movie... bad. He looked at them and just shook his head. He was going to have to sow little pieces of leather on the uppers to have enough leather just to stitch the soles back on. When I came back to retrieve them. They looked like new. He walked me through what he had to do to save them, and it was nothing short of a miracle. He is masterful at his craft, and I couldn't recommend him more. read more

I stopped by the shop on a whim to see if they could do anything about the wear on my boots. Napoleon took a look at my boots and told me he'd have them polished in 10 minutes and he did! I have taken 3 separate things- we had cowboy boots resoled and they were much better than the original bottom. The boots are danced in all of the time and the new bottom is perfect!
