I am currently looking for my wedding dress and have had a wonderful experience working with Anna's Bridal. I love a specific designer so I called the shop, seeing that they carry her. I spoke with the manager AJ for a bit, and she explained which of my preferred styles they carry and offered similar styles. She allowed me to walk into the store, look at the dresses, understand their pricing and inventory. She even allowed me to try on a dress that I was captivated by! Would definitely not recommend any bride to shop here. She's lied to my fiancé over and over again.She didn't just overcharge her but treated her like shit. I've read all the reviews on this place, and seeing the business owner fighting back people's honest opinions and not respecting freedom of speech is inexcusable. That is what Yelp is founded on. They should ask what they can do to make it better, or change business practices to accommodate difficult/hard customers, which we ALL have experienced one time or another. Owners that fight back- with honest reviews and don't observe the freedom of speech amendment usually have something to hide or cover up or the bad review is true. $20 just to try on dresses, inexcusable. They needed a credit card on file to book an appointment. With all the fraud that goes on, I'm not giving my card numbers on to try on dresses, period. Part of the purchasing process is allowing me where to decide to spend my hard earned money. When I called to book the appointment- they needed a card on file. I almost gave it to them and then I second guessed the person on the phone, and asked, "why?" The lady on the phone said because she has other customers, and if I no show, my card will be charged. I slightly understand that time is money, but once they mentioned they had other customers and didn't consider me a paying customer... I said, thanks, but no thanks. Just an honest review based on my time on the phone with them. (Aka in a heartbeat, they lost a paying customer) UPDATE: owner (as predicted) fought back... hard. I bought my wedding dress from Anna's bridal but was ultimately dissatisfied with it because it fit poorly and it showed in my pictures. I cut a deal with Anna for my dress, veil and alterations for one lump sum. When I bought the dress, Anna and I went back and forth on the size of dress - she wanted to order a IT 42 and I wanted a IT 40. She measured me over a denim shirt and I insisted she measure me under because I know my size in Italian sizing and eventually she agreed that I was measuring as a size 40 at my waist and a 36 at my bust. Anna also stated that the designer could change the neckline because it was a bit low. Great, let's do it, I said. Several months later, the dress arrived in a size 42, no change to the neckline and appeared to have a see through bodice. I was immediately annoyed and brought up these issues. I was assured that the seamstress could address these issues. I'll give credit where it's due. Anna contacted the designer about the lace and the seamstress was able to attach it. The other issues, however, were out of the range of her capability. First, she attached tulle to the bust, which was already too large for me, so it made it look even more bulky. It was attached loosely, which made it look worse. I went back several times to deal with this issue and nothing changed. What made matters worse was that the seamstress stopped taking weekend appointments so I had to take time off work to go and nothing happened. Eventually, when I saw that nothing was happening and it was only a couple weeks before my wedding, I took it and had someone else look at it. They said that there was little that could be done because the bust was too large for my body and because it was structured, altering it would take several weeks and would be very expensive. They removed the tulle, which they said was improperly sewn into the seams of the should straps. They also said that when she removed the boning from the bust, she left behind stretched tulle. Finally, they stated that she improperly shortened the straps, which is why she cut into the the bodice for my my arms to fit. What really annoyed me was that the seamstress took in the dress very oddly, so that it was tight at my ribs. The consultant asked me if I had gained weight, to which I answered that I had lost weight and that I wouldn't have gainweight in my ribs and not in my waist. Bottom line, the dress didn't fit me well and it showed in all my pictures. read more

Best bridal wedding dress boutique ever! After four appointments and so many maybes, we stopped by Anna's to view their selection. I wish we hadn't wasted our time everywhere else. Taylor was amazing, and she pulled a dress that I never would have seen myself in. Not only did it fit like a glove, but it made my whole family cry. We were so preoccupied with the dress, not one person took a picture (and that's saying something). Because my fiancé is active duty military, they gave us an incredible discount and took several hundred dollars off the dress so that it fit into our price range. I love this store and would recommend them to anyone that wants to be treated as more than just a commission. They truly made my wedding! read more

But this place had a huge selection of dresses in every design, shape, and detail you can imagine. Rhoda helped me and she was amazing through beginning to end. Anna and her team are absolutely amazing. I wish they just opened last year! Backstory: I live in Alexandria but I bought my dress in Texas where my mom lives. I originally had a tailor in mind up here but this was a big miscommunication and this past summer she told me she couldn't tailor my dress. Why I love them: Long story short, I call Anna's Bridal and they put me in touch with Lisa and gave me a decent price on the alterations. Lisa was very thorough. After four fittings I felt like part of Anna's world. Anna, herself, would even help me get in the dress (which took a good 20+ minutes each time because I had a corset back). I even remember one time I met other brides there and we all got along. Rhoda helped me try on dresses and was extremely knowledgeable about the different designers and had really good instincts for what kind of style dress I would like. Even though I couldn't explain exactly what I wanted, she still brought over amazing dresses. Anna and Rhoda were so kind and patient with me, as well as my mom and aunt who came with me. This was my last and final stop to get much needed alterations on a wedding dress less than two weeks before my wedding. I went to 2 other places before going to Anna's. The other places told me alterations were impossible and suggested I buy a brand new dress. I was devastated with little time and options. There are no words to describe how awesome Anna's Bridal is! They have beautiful and unique dresses from a lot of major designer's. You will definitely feel like no one else has your dress, and that's a very special feeling! Mrs Rota was absolutely sweet and helpful with helping find my perfect dress. I actually didn't have an appt ( highly recommended) but I was lucky and I walked in on day where they could squeeze me in. All of the staff made you feel welcome and like you are the only one in the room, it was definitely a day about you and they made you feel it!!! I unfortunately didn't know a lot about buying wedding dresses, it's my first time and hopefully my only time except when I renew my vows years to come lol!! I walked in 2 months before my wedding date which left no time to order a dress. But that's ok!!! They have plenty of dresses there you can buy off the rack and the tailor in the shop did my alterations and after 2 fittings my dress was perfect! I set aside two days to find my dress, Anna's happened to be my next to last stop for the second day! As soon as I walked in I felt that I was in the right place! I knew that this is where I would find my dress! The boutique is so cute and feminine with some glam from the chandeliers and statement chairs. I can't recall the name of the lady who helped me, but once I described what I was looking for, she immediately started pulling dresses all of which were beyond my imagination! When I tell you that every single dress was gorgeous, I truly mean it. I had my matron and maid of honor cancel all of my follow up just incase appointments because I knew right then and there I was in the right place. There was no way I was leaving without my dress. The decisions were hard to make because every dress that was pulled was absolutely gorgeous but either pick i made it wouldn't have been a bad pick. The absolute worse. Lady who was working was very rude. Never greeted me then when I proceeded to walk around she yelled wait a minute I'll be right with you in a stern piercing voice. I wanted to leave right then but it's the only place that carried the bridesmaids dress near me. When I told her what I was looking for she told me it was a 20 dollar charge to try it on. I waited for her to pull out the dress since she clearly didn't want me where the dress was. She got on her phone and I sat down and waited 7 minuets before feeling so uncomfortable I left. I would rather drive 20 miles or order a size too big and get alterations than deal with the place ever again. A total shame because it seemed to have a good selection and I was interested in looking for wedding dresses for myself but I refuse to pay money to be treated like crap. read more

I was looking forward to coming to the store to look at dresses in person but I was greeted with a frown and an unwelcoming attitude. I then proceeded to tell her that I called about the Terani dresses and she then pointed towards the back saying they're all in the back. Mind you, she did not even offer to walk me there and show me because you know I don't exactly know where they are because I don't work there (eye roll). I looked for a good 10 minutes before she finally got up out of her chair (she was not with a customer nor on the phone that she was too busy not to help me). When I asked her if I can get a price on 2 Terani dresses I've been looking at online, she cut me off saying they're not for sale. I told her I understand but I want to know the price just in case I want to purchase the same dress. She again yelled they're not for sale they're already taken and then finally said that she can check tomorrow for the price of the dresses to include the one I called her for. So today I called and she said she didn't call me back because "they" haven't gotten back to her. How is that when you're a retailer?! But even if they did have the dress available at a good price I still won't purchase from them because her attitude made all the dresses look ugly!!! This store is one of the places that has one of the worst customer service that I've been to! You just lost a potential customer! I had such a wonderful experience at Anna's!! I had been to one other dress shop and had the worst experience. I also had NO IDEA what kind of dress I wanted, so I had little hope that I would find anything. The lady helping us pulled amazing dresses for me to try. She really knew what was going to flatter my body type! I was torn between two dresses, so I scheduled another appointment for my mom to help me decide. For the second appointment, my mother was driving a few hours to get there and was stuck in crazy 94 traffic, but I was encouraged to stay as long as I needed for my mom to get there and be a part of the process. Fate brought us to a third dress that was absolutely perfect for me AND within my budget! I would recommend Anna's to everyone, especially if you are completely clueless as to what you what. I was hoping to find a dress at Anna's, but everything I wanted to try on they did not have it in my size 10/12 This place only carries sizes 4-8 and 20 in sample sizes. Not a good expierience for women whom jave figures, which makes wedding dress shopping a negative expierence.The owner is not a delightful woman. I wanted a particular dress and she promised she would contact the manufacturer to get that dress and a few others for me to try on. I was told ahe would reach out to me by wednesday, but she did not call, I had to. Upon that call I was told the manufacturer supposedly had not gotten back to her yet and she hung up on me. Later in the day I recieved a nastly call staying that manufacturer would not send the dress to the store because it is new and promply hung up on me. I contacted a botique back home In PA and they are grtting the dress in for me with no problem. Ladies choose a different store to purchase your wedding dress. Anna's bridal was my first stop in my wedding dress adventure and i couldn't have asked for a better experience. I made an appointment a few days before and the staff were very accomadating. My appointment was in the middle of the week so I was the only bride in the store during my appointment. The service was excellent! The ladies listened to what I wanted and made a few suggestions for dresses I might look good in. They didn't help me into any of gowns which was fine except for the gowns that had corsets which needed an extra hand. Towards the end of my appointment I met Anna the owner of the store and she personally helped me into a few gowns. Again wonderful customer service. I tried on at least 5 or 6 different gowns and i never felt any frustration or irritation from the consultants. They were willing to let me try on as many gowns as I needed to and didn't pressure me to buy anything. Anna even invited me back to the store during one of their trunk shows to make sure I saw all of their collection. Overall I'm very satisfied with Anna's bridal and would recommend for any bride who is looking for a good bridal experience. I knew I wanted to get my wedding dress from a small salon instead of one of the big box stores. Anna's was a great fit! Not only did I find my dress, the alterations that were done were amazing! The dress I found was a few sizes too big, so they altered it to fit, changed the neckline for me, changed the sash color, and all for a reasonable price! When I narrowed it down to three the decision was so difficult because I wanted each one. Wendy helped me through the entire process and made it a very relaxing and enjoyable experience. Made an appointment to try on wedding dresses. Nothing thrilling, the workers didn't seem excited or enthusiastic at all. I wrote down my budget on the paper they provided and they didn't seem to be aware that some of the dresses they encouraged me to try on were $4,000 over my listed budget. My sister and two year old niece were with me as well. My sister asked where the restroom was so she could change my niece and when she finished the lady said "Did you put her diaper in the trash can?" Well, of course, where else do you put trash? She then told my sister she needed to take it out so my sister said okay I'll take the diaper out of the trash can but the lady then told her she needed to take out the entire trash which was behind ridiculous. My sister then took out THEIR trash for them and had to walk outside in the cold all the way down the street to throw THEIR trash in the garbage. People should keep in mind that people do have young children and young children wear diapers that require changing. If it's such a burden then I suggest placing a "no children who wear diapers" sign outside the door. Or, maybe the people who worked there could have taken the trash out themselves as they are supposed to do. That's definitely not how you run a business. read more

Ms Anna the owner and her team of bridal consultants are the best!! They were absolutely wonderful during my dress search process. I had been to the larger stores and had no idea what I wanted! Ms Anna was incredibly patient with me (even though I was a bit irritable at times lol ) she had me try dresses back on when I was unsure of what I wanted. She also took the time to really listen to what I liked, and pulled more dresses off the rack based on what I told her I liked and disliked. She was also very conscious of my price point, and was sure I didn't try on any dresses that were over my budget. She even helped me pick out the most gorgeous veil that I am still getting compliments on. I ended up walking away with the most beautiful dress, and I really truly did feel like a princess.
