Since I live in the same building as Anna's Cafe, I have made repeated visits. The service here is consistently good. The cafe owner is exceedingly nice and has even given me food free of charge. As for the food, it's pretty good. I often order a breakfast sandwich, but unlike the McDonald's version, they serve this all day, and it's fully customizable. Additionally, the prices are very reasonable. Does this place serve the best food ever? Probably not - but the excellent service and reasonably priced good food make this place a solid choice! read more

The entrance to Anna's Cafe is up a flight of steps to the entrance which leads into their goodsized dining space. Head in and around the corner to the counter were you place your order and pay. After perusing their chalkboard breakfast and lunch (after 10am) menus, I decided to go with the veggie quesadilla $4.50. I settled myself at a table and they brought my dish over piping hot and accompanied by cool salsa and sour cream. The vegetables were colorful and retained a nice fresh firmness mingled with the hot melty cheese. It was a satisfying lunch, though perhaps a bite or two more than my appetite actually needed. Overall, this is a cute spot in Charlestown with pretty decent cafe food and coffees/teas that is a great value for money and has friendly, helpful staff. We will definitely come back the next time we're in the area. The two of us kinda balled out and we got: sausage egg and cheese on a croissant, turkey egg and cheese on an Asiago bagel, a cinnamon roll, a pistachio muffin, a medium iced tea, and a large iced cold brew coffee. First off, we got all of that and the total was about $18.50... we thought they had made a mistake, but nope it was that good of a deal. The drinks were average - not bad, but not the best. The sausage egg and cheese was delicious (I mean you can't go wrong there). It was nice they had deli turkey as an option, and the bagel was three c's thiccc and delicious. The cinnamon roll was dry, but again for the price it was all good. The service here was above and beyond. My girlfriend had ordered the pistachio muffin for herself, but I wanted a bite. It looked like it was topped with walnuts (which I'm allergic to), so we asked the staff if it had nuts. She wasn't sure, so she went upstairs to look at the recipe for us, couldn't find it, so then she called the bakery where they get them from. After about five minutes (just for my one bite!), she confirmed that they did have walnuts and offered to even reimburse us for the muffin. We didn't need that, but I wished I caught her name! We really appreciated how much she cared and went out of her way to make sure we knew. Also pro tip: we took the muffin home later and grilled it over the stove in butter - absolutely delicious. I come here almost every morning because I work at Charlestown High School. I order an egg and tomato on a croissant and it's delicious!! The croissant is toasted perfectly and the tomatoes are super fresh. The staff are just so pleasant and energetic so early in the morning and I can appreciate that since I have to be at work by 7:20. The tea selection is also amazing; I love green tea and they have a few different flavors for it. There's a nice sized seating area and a television typically showing the news. I definitely enjoy this cozy cafe during my morning commute. read more

The food, although microwaved, is always decent and worth the price you pay. Their staff, however, need a bit more training. They have their good and bad days but some days are REALLY bad. For example if you close at 7pm and you have to make food at 6pm you shouldn't be rolling your eyes and huffing and puffing about it. The sandwich is pre made and thrown into a microwave and then tossed into a panini press. There's nothing to it, but it still took 10 minutes to get out. . . There is a new place across the way now and although I've given several chances to hoping Anna's will improve I think I have to take my business for a sandwich elsewhere. A pre-close will kill you 90% of the time in food service. Now if you're just looking for coffee and nothing else. This place could get 4/5 stars. Again, detracting for staff attitude. I think Anna's rating is all based on your perspective of Anna's. If you consider Anna's to be a coffee shop, it's awesome. The prices are totally reasonable and they do have a variety of flavors. I always like fun, sugary lattes, and I'm always happy with what I order. It's never particularly busy, so you can always find a seat and can camp out with a laptop without guilt if needed. If you consider Anna's to be a cafe, it's meh. We've had several paninis, breakfast sandwiches, and waffles and by no means is it terrible, but it isn't incredible either. You're probably better off walking over to Prescott for food. I'd give it 5 stars as a coffee shop, 3 stars as a cafe, so we'll meet in the middle at 4 stars. read more

I drive past this place everyday and today was the day to try them out. Its kind of rustic with a touch of elegance scenery (I think it's because of the factory sliding doors in the back) but it's a nice place to get your breakfast when your on the run. How has it taken me this long to discover Anna's cafe. It has almost become my new go-to for coffee. I love the variety of flavors they offer (and at a very reasonable price! Like Dunkin Donuts reasonable.) The food is amazing too- I've had a few different sandwiches there including one with a nice toasty croissant. The soups are made fresh and don't always have all the options on the menu available. The price, again, well worth it. This building used to be an old shoe factory. I used to go to that high school up the street .Now I live about 4 blocks away. Since I leave close by , coming here for my morning coffee before I get picked up by Uber. It's s cute spot with large windows and plenty of seats. Well, we gave this a try. While I give this place 2 stars for their conscientiousness regarding the coffee they serve, the food is nothing to write home about. It didn't even look like they tried. My toast on my breakfast sandwich was barely toasted, what I was told was "turkey ham " was nothing short of a slice of turkey breast and the egg was nuked to the extent that it was rubber. I was in Charlestown on business and happened to see Anna's Cafe in passing. I wanted a coffee, and I like to shop local if I can, so I went in. It's a wonderful little place and the atmosphere is cozy, quiet, and friendly. The food was fresh and my jerk chicken soup was perfectly spicy. My chicken salad wrap was HUGE and I was so pleased that I got my money's worth. The prices are so reasonable and I had a 16oz mocha, a full wrap, and a 16oz soup for $14. And Ruth, the manager, and the staff were so courteous, attentive, and kind. I will be back!
