The location is not ideal but, when you walk into the restaurant you are immediately reminded of Greek tavernas and the warmth of the friendly atmosphere that Greece exudes. Our server, LJ, was perfect, polite and had perfect timing for our entire meal. They serve Mythos, the traditional Greek beer which is just ideal, and wonderful Greek wines. Several of us (10?) met for lunch and we all really liked our food. One nice thing about this restaurant is that they offer a lunch menu with very reasonable prices. I ordered the Eggplant Zorba Style which was actually listed as a Starter but it came with grilled pita and it was more than enough food for a meal. We all got our correct food order, though two people had their bills switched and one person paid and left early without noticing so someone else got stuck with the other's higher bill. It's all about the food at Anna's. I'm half Greek, my father was born there. There is no restaurant in Columbus that serves truly authentic Greek food like Anna's. Of course you can wait till Labor Day weekend and get some amazing food at the festival. The Mad Greek is pretty good too but Anna's is my go to. This is a nice family owned Greek restaurant, this was my third time coming here and I believe it's a fantastic place where you can relax, have some good Mediterranean food and have a good time. This time the service wasn't the best, we had a reservation for a birthday diner and it was two hours before closing time and the server was not happy about it, unfortunately, we could sense his concern about having this big table. I enjoy Anna's on my lunch break, the gyro meat is tender and delicious. Haven't gotten the chance to try much of the menu but the ambiance and service is great. It's in a strip mall, but as many of you know, those are usually the places you don't want to underestimate. Could be a great place for a date night if you like wine too! Heavily seasoned with one spice and that's I could smell or taste. Sent it back. We had a wonderful time at Anna's! The service was outstanding and the food was authentic and delicious. It is a relatively small restaurant with a great atmosphere. We tried everything based on our server's recommendation and had the Lamb Parnassos and Cabbage Rolls for dinner followed by Baklava and Kataifi Ekmek for dessert. Anna's has great Greek food. Nothing to quibble about there. I've been dining there for years and never had less than great food. What I do have issue with is that sometime recently they started charging extra for olive oil! They used to have a bottle on the table like all good Greek and Italian restaurants. Now if you want olive oil to dip pita in you have to pay $1.50 for a tiny plastic cup. I found this to be such a cheapskate move I'm not going back. Note to Anna's - instead of insulting your customers with your penny pinching just bake the cost of olive oil into the food prices. Shame on you. read more

What a welcoming spot. Local spot with wonderful owner/chef and staff. The food is spot on. My wife prefers a simple Greek salad dressing with a lemon/wine vinegar and no sweetness. Anna's Greek has some great food that you (probably) cannot find anywhere else in Ohio. The food is usually something along the lines of this: a bed of mashed potatoes, rice, or french fries, with either lamb, beef, or chicken on top, cooked in some tasty greek sauce. They also have salads and pastiche, I have tried the latter and it was good. They also have some great soups sides; I like their potato slices and both of their soups. The restauraunt's atmosphere and service are also top notch. It has these greek building models with television screens showing aerial views of greece, so a very unique atmosphere. After spending the late morning and afternoon at the zoo, today, we were looking for a place at six Chicago ends and Ohio winds who are not familiar with Columbus could go to have lunch. I found this place on yelp. It had good reviews and sounded like a great place so we went there to give it a try, my wife and I had their lentil soup and pita bread. It was phenomenal some of the best lentil soup I've ever had. My grandson had lamb. My son had some kind of a chicken dish. The other two also had meals. One was octopus and everybody thoroughly loved it and said it was a great meal, we waited on a waiter waited on by a waiter named Ricardo who did a great job smiled left and joked with us the whole time we ate this is an easy five star. Wow! The dolmathakia and spanakopita were a fantastic starter -- absolutely delicious!!! This beautiful restaurant is in a nondescript plaza you might otherwise overlook. Step inside and you're greeted warmly and sat at a table with linens and white table settings. I had tonight's special - pastitsio and the entree was also very good so I stayed for dessert (baklava base, Greek custard with a whipped topping covered with pistachios). Nice finish. My only regret is I am solo on a business trip so my partner could not be here to share in the experience. We will definitely be back when we are in town. Lastly, Anna (the namesake) visited with several guests who enjoyed her dishes. It was clear to me her regular guests know they have a gem in this restaurant. First time checking out this place! Got a friends recommendation and i was definitely in the mood for Mediterranean food. The store is older and you can tell as you walk in, there are nice artwork along the wall and cute decor. When we sat there was one other table besides us. We sat down and ordered a three spread sampler and each of our dishes. The spread was delicious and packed with flavor so i only needed a little bit for each bite with the pita bread! The bread comes out warm! Eat it fast cuz it can get harder as it cools. My friend ordered the beef stew which i liked a lot! And another friend ordered the lamp chop and i reallly liked that as well!!! I ordered the pastitsio but i dunno.. i felt it was rather bland and the meat was just okay. I liked the other dishes way more. The lamb was grilled just right and was delicious!!! Same with the beef in the beef stew it .. melted and the sauce went so well with the potato! read more

First time here and really enjoyed it. We had for a appetizer the saganaki which is flaming goat cheese which was very good and served with pita bread . I had the lamb shank with mashed potatoes and couldn't eat it all so took some home for another meal. My daughter had the lamb chops . It was all good. I had the baklava for desert which was good but had alittle to much of a certain spice which I think was nut Meg . The decor was very nice which made you think you were in Greek overlooking the ocean . The place is small which makes it alittle more intimate. They could use a larger wine selection . You know I've been eating at Anna's for close to 20 years and I stopped and tonight reminded me why . They charge for every little thing and I mean everything. But I was craving a gyro salad you know couldn't be more than $10-$13 right? WRONG I got salad mind you a salad $18 and then gave me one small cup of dressing and when I mentioned to them it's not enough for the size they charged me for it. You are kidding. Not only should your salad not be $18 nor was it worth it, doesn't come with pitas or anything special just lettuce tomato and a " few" crumbles of feta. T they gave a very small cup of gyro meat like are you kidding there is nothing about this over priced salad that says omg this is an $18 salad. This place is a hidden gem! The food is amazing and the flavor just explodes in your mouth. They have a very traditional menu. I tried the Gyro and the Greek Salad and it hit the spot every time. They have other traditional dishes and they were great. I did forget to take pictures so I could post them but the portions are good and you will not leave hungry. Amazing! We have been going here for ov 20 years and the quality and taste of the food hasn't changed and it's delicious.

I've passed by this place so many times over the last 10 years and never got around to dining there. Finally got my chance when some friends suggested we meet there. It is unassuming from the outside, but inside is lovely with it's Greek murals and dim lighting. We started with the skorthalia garlic cheese spread, incredibly garlicky and spread nicely on pita points. Then we moved onto the sakanaki fried cheese served flaming. If you love fried cheese sticks, this is the upscale version. So tasty! I could have had a meal of just these 2 appetizers. For my meal, I had a Greek side salad (in lieu of fries) with a gyro sandwhich. The meat was flavorful, more so than the average takeout gyro and not dry at all. Service was fantastic as well. Will definitely be back; maybe for the Sunday buffet. read more

Of course, I got the jumbo gyro and ended up eating half of it with a fork so I could pick the darn thing up. Great meat, good veggies, perfect pita. There are also little pita squares on the table for snacking, and I'm telling you, I could eat just those- fresh and soft. When the galaktibouroko came I was almost overwhelmed- it was a huge slice. If you haven't had it, it's a kind of custard between thin flaky crusts. Subtle, sweet, amazing. I finished it, barely. Man. A favorite from long before Yelp, and still great. Don't pass this restaurant by because it's in a strip mall. The food is fantastic. I started with the classic Spanakopita and my husband had the Kalamarikia (calamari). The Spanikopita was a perfect appetizer for one while the Calamari is definitely big enough for two or three to split as an starter or plenty for a light meal. For dinner we had Beef Stifada and Beef Kokkinisto. Both can be served over rice, orzo, or mashed. Different than you typical Greek restaurant has and both delicious. We love the flavor everything has and the consistency of those flavors. It's a hit every time. Get the spicy feta dip, the lemon chicken soup and the gyros! Also, they have great fries which can come with a sandwich. The brunch is very good. The offerings are plenty but in smaller than normal sizes which suggests really fresh foods.
