Visiting the area and there were so many choices on the map but we made the perfect one. Yes the name says Creperia (crepes) but doing let that stop you from visiting because it is definitely crepes and more. Chilaquiles were a hit! Delicious, home made and the kick was perfect. Now let's not forget the coffee. I'm pretty simple but a little picky and their hazelnut iced latte with oatmilk was perfect. Staff were great and friendly. Made us feel at home. Cute little place with very kind and thoughtful owners. I ordered the avocado toast, which came loaded with cherry tomatoes, sliced avocado, red onion, butter, salt, pepper and some poppy seeds. Really fresh and good. Boyfriend wanted a crepe with ham and cheese and they made it for him (they typically do sweet crepes). One of the sweet owners came over with a delicious sample of their hot chocolate. A lovely little place to have a quick bite while exploring Santa Barbara. read more

I found this spot as I was figuring out what to eat downtown. I wasn't really sure what to eat, and as I was leaving a shop I noticed a sign for tamales. I've been missing tamales since leaving Los Angeles, and thought this was the perfect spot to satisfy this craving. The owners were very nice and welcoming! They have great customer service skills and make sure you feel taken care of and treated well :). The tamales are delicious. The champurrado was superb! And I am going to order some flan for dessert. Yummy! I saw this establishment on the AXXESS Card and was excited to try it. The deal was buy one crepe or mini pancakes and get one free. I decided to order two crepes - one with strawberries, bananas and Nutella, which I saw on another Yelp review, and one with strawberries and blueberries. The woman was patient with me and very friendly. She asked if I would like powdered sugar and/or whipped cream on either. I asked for powdered sugar on the first and nothing added on the second. A girl prepared the order behind the counter and brought them to me in a bag (forks, knives and napkins included). The crepes were warm and I couldn't wait to eat them. The establishment is very welcoming and I love the decorations! The crepes were delicious and I ended up adding some maple syrup to the one with blueberries at home. Thank you! read more

Cute little sweets place in Paseo Nuevo. We ordered crepes which were soft and delicious. They did run out of vanilla ice cream which was odd, and some of their fridges where they put other desserts were empty so it just seemed like they hadn't restocked in a while. Only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because I wish there was more cheese, the cheese seemed to be only on the top layers but the bottom barely had any remaining cheese. There were hairs in the food we had ordered, and in the napkins as well. Completely ruined our appetite and the store owners did not seem apologetic that there was hair in their food. The cook doesn't wear gloves or a hair net, disgusting place with no regard for sanitation. read more

I can't believe this place isn't more popular. It was hard to find good crepes around here and all of their fruits taste fresh, something rare for stores similar to this. I believe the counter is sometimes run by a husband and wife duo and they're friendly and asking for feedback. Definitely the place to hit up when you're craving something sweet. read more

We were genuinely confused b/c we had no idea there was a waitlist, and of course we immediately apologized & left the table. We felt terrible and offered to switch our order to takeout to avoid any inconveniences, the employee remained dismissive and rude throughout our interaction. I'm not sure if she thought we did it on purpose, but she took off with an attitude. We understand it's busy, it could be frustrating and stressful, but that interaction wasn't necessary, it was a clear misunderstanding and we asked switched to take out to avoid issues or taking someone else's spot. We also noticed other customers making the same mistake, which made it seem like the seating process wasn't clearly communicated. A simple greeting or letting customers know there was a waitlist before ordering would have completely avoided the misunderstanding instead being dismissive. I also don't recall seeing "please wait to be seated" sign or I'm not sure if we missed it ? Despite this experience, we still plan on coming back b/c we truly enjoy the food and the cafe itself. They do have great service, they did not give us any issues changing the order to take out. They understood it was a misunderstanding of the seating. It took about 10 minutes to get or drink order in and another 15 to get our order in and when we did we were rushed and the waitress walked away before we could order more food as the Hotel's complementary breakfast meal was far too small. We were there for about an hour before we got our food. It seemed as though the workers were confused and running in circles. Food tasted good and they even had the good creamer for the coffee. Also, Mike seemed to be there in the morning too and good thing as he seemed to show up and get everything going. I would definitely visit this place again but not for breakfast.

I ordered a fantastic breakfast at El Chisme Cafe! Their homemade breakfast burritos are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and you can really taste the difference. I also tried their avocado toast and opted for ciabatta bread with an over-easy egg on top--it was absolutely delicious! The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the bread had the right amount of crunch. On top of the great food, the prices are very reasonable, making this spot even better. The customer service was also excellent--friendly, attentive, and welcoming. If you're looking for a great breakfast in a cozy setting, El Chisme Cafe is definitely worth a visit! read more

While shopping at paseo nuevo my wife and I found this cute family owned cafe. First of all you will be greeted by the owners , they are very kind people who make you feel welcome. On our first visit we tried their tamales, mango juice, and homemade champurrado. All three were very yummy.On our second visit we tried their breakfast. We had the french toast plate and waffle plate served with eggs, bacon and home potatoes. All their food and drinks taste homemade so am sure you won't be disappointed regardless of what you order. We love this spot and we are happy to have found this spot after we moved to Carpinteria 2 years ago. We were wanting something sweet to enjoy one evening and ran into this really cute cozy spot they have the best crepes and come to find out some really good sandwiches and breakfast plates thank you to the owners they always make us feel so welcomed when we go there You will always return as they are the best in town :) read more

Best place for crepes in Santa Barbara! They offer unlimited toppings. The place is very cozy and welcoming, I never want to leave. The owner is the best and always treat me with kindness. Highly recommend for anyone who is craving something sweet. read more
