Cassie, who was taking items off the dressing room rack, engaged me in cheerful conversation about why I didn't like any of those items. After a few minutes of looking around, Cassie walked up with a style of shirt she had personally purchased from there and recommended it to me. It was the perfect size and fit! They were incredibly kind and took the time to explain how the boutique works, which I really appreciated as someone new to the brand. After I arrived, Tao greeted me and was genuinely interested in helping. I didn't realize appointments were recommended and she had to step away. Jennifer seamlessly stepped in and made me feel completely comfortable. Simion, the store manager, also stopped by, which added a wonderful personal touch. I ended up spending two hours in the boutique--and I don't think I've ever laughed so much while shopping. With their guidance, I chose a gold Garden Party 30 that fits beautifully into my wardrobe and lifestyle. I explored silks and leather goods and was amazed by how many other departments there were -- shoes, jewelry, and beauty items as well. This store is huge. Since my visit, Tao has been assisting me and has been thoughtful, responsive, and attentive throughout. She helped me remotely pick out a twilly that would coordinate with my handbag purchase. Shipping is free to your home without having a minimum purchase amount! They offer free catalog returns to the store too! They do carry Detroit Lions, U of Michigan, and Michigan State gear here, which is nice. Overall, the store has anything that you need clothing-wise. The only issue that I saw was that some of the Christmas decor was damaged and unorganized for shoppers. It was not a nice look.

They did not acknowledge me or offer assistance, instead observing silently. One employee even walked behind me, got to my side, and looked me up and down, which made me feel very uncomfortable. They did not offer any help to me or the employee assisting me, even if they were concerned about the transaction. I raised my concerns with the assistant store manager, who offered explanations rather than an apology for the lack of basic customer service. This visit reflects a lack of standard customer service practices, including greeting customers, acknowledging their presence, and offering assistance. I would not recommend this location for those expecting consistent customer service.

However, I somehow joined the Express loyalty rewards program several…read moreyears ago, which is quite good and has a lot of ways to earn points and dollars to spend on Express items. For that reason, I buy from Express several times a year when I have enough loyalty dollars to spend on jewelry or a piece of clothing. I've purchased three pairs of earrings and a necklace from Express. Within a year the pearl pendant came off my necklace. The earrings have stayed in good shape. Express jewelry is what I would call higher-end costume jewelry. Some of the stuff is too loud for my taste, but I usually buy items with pearls that will look classic enough to wear to work. I would never buy their jewelry at full price. I buy when I have Express dollars combined with a sale. In the past, I've ordered online to pick up at the store. It's pretty efficient and I've never had a problem. Typically my items are ready to be picked up the same day or the next day. For the first time, I bought a fitted lurex turtleneck in-store. I wasn't greeted or acknowledged at all by the two workers at the store even though I was the only customer there at the time. One of the workers was at least cordial when she helped me check out and apply my loyalty dollars. The other worker was by the entrance and did not say anything to me as I walked out. I thought it was rude. The turtleneck is nice and stretchy, and the lurex is shimmery. Perfect to wear during the holiday and winter months. It wasn't worth the original price of $68, but with the markdown and my loyalty dollars, it was very cheap. I recommend joining the loyalty program.
