Tuna sandwich with split pea and ham soup as well as egg salad sandwich with cream of potato soup.

We were able to walk and then get a seat immediately. I had the half tuna sandwich and split pea with ham soup, my wife had half egg salad sandwich with cream of potato soup. Both of our meals were delicious! Both soups were slightly thinker, which is perfect for this very cold day. Our cheese curds were lightly breaded and fried to perfection, the taste was Wisconsin amazing! The restaurant at South is very quaint and comfortable. It was nice and warm and had a lot of historic pictures on the walls. The service was impeccable, we were checked up one a few times while we were dining, and everything was well taken care of.

Food and staff were amazing!! You can tell they know what they are doing and have been doing it for a while! It's such a cute, classic diner and very clean. Reasonable prices and a lot of different and appetizing food choices. Fries were perfectly crispy and soft on the inside. Burger was so juicy - lots of napkins were needed!

In Stoughton to do some shopping and wife mentioned breakfast when passing the Koffee Kup. Since it had been sometime having been here., sounded good. Service and food were outstanding as the last time. Prices are incredibly reasonable. Our entire breakfast (note picture) with coffee (comes in carafe) was under $25. Specials of the day are written on a chalkboard located on the back wall. Be sure and check it before looking at the printed menu. The special on the day we were there was BBQ ribs and we visited later that day is what would have been in front of me. They have wine, beer and alcohol to serve with your dinner.

I ate at Koffee Kup for the first time with my husband and dad a couple of days ago and it was delicious. The diner is small and cute. Service was great and our waitress was so friendly and quick. I started with the hot chocolate which was hot and delicious plus topped with real Whipped cream and not the stuff from a can! For breakfast I got two scrambled eggs, bacon, toast instead of potatoes and a side of corned beef hash. My husband had a pancake and sausage with 2 eggs. My eggs were cooked well, the bacon was slightly crispy but had great flavor, the star of the show was the super crispy perfectly Salty hash! I'm not usually a fan of link sausage, but in Wisconsin, I think you have to try them and WOW..delicious! They're more like mini brats than the dry, little sausage links you get many places. I would DEFINITELY recommend this place! Rating from F to A+++ I give it an A+++!

Definitely small diner feel here. They have delicious breakfast for small diner prices which I appreciate. It was packed when I went in and the server was alone but she was doing a fantastic job. I got an omelette and it was so good. Definitely a good start to the day.

Service was fast and friendly. Ambiance is a bit noisy but a good noisy. Friendly faces and beautiful decor. Food was fresh and fast and yummy. Pie was delicious

We've been here a couple of times now and each time it was packed! It didn't matter if it was the weekend or a weekday, the place was full. Given it's a first come first served place I suggest expecting a wait or coming at an off time. That being said, they can move people through pretty quickly as the food comes out fast. The waitresses have always been super friendly and willing to give recommendations. We've tried the omelets, whole wheat pancakes, breakfast sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, chili, pie, and malts and all were quite good. Just keep in mind that this is more of a cafe/diner, so its prone to a little greasiness in the omelets. I have been impressed by the quality of chicken that they use for the chicken sandwiches, as my sandwich had a thick chicken breast that was tender and moist. The malts are a must try as they do it right and give you the container the malt is made in with a glass that fits the whole thing on the side. Ours was nice and thick, just what you want for dipping fries into! Overall, great place to go for smaller groups wanting some very tasty/quality diner food.

That was excellent. The ambiance is nice and comfortable. Wasn't too loud which i appreciate. Highly recommend.

It's an utter shame how terrible Dane County is about making lake/water space accessible to the public (one thing Chicago does way better than Wisconisn, unfortunately), but Water Street Tavern totally gives me the waterfront dining fix. It's along the river, not the lake, which gives it a bit more of an intimate feel to it. Their outdoor space is absolutely beautiful and I highly recommend checking it out. We came here for our monthly fish fry, never having been here before. We came around 5:30p on a Friday and were told no indoor tables until about 8pm. It was a tad chilly out but we opted for the immediate outdoor table. There is a fireplace out there, but it's more aesthetic than anything, it provided no heat our way but we were find with sweaters. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and super fun to chat with. I wish they had your basic cod on the fish fry menu - and I was surprised they didn't - but I opted for the walleye instead. It's one very large piece but it was pretty good! Crunhcier breading but not excessive. I enjoyed the house old fashioned. I wish they had supper club boozy ice cream dessert drinks, but they don't so I opted for a cocktail as dessert instead. My dining mates got the cheesecake and ate the whole thing. We left around 7:15pm and it was empty inside, not sure what happened there, but either way I'm glad we ended up outside and I will definitely be back here more often now that I've discovered this wonderful place!

I love that it's a local joint, love that it has a legit Viking ship bar that blows smoke/steam, and love getting beer brewed on site. And a nice variety of beer at that. It had been awhile since I've been here, but it continues to be delicious. We came here for a Friday fish fry and while busy, the wait wasn't terrible at all. We went to the bar to grab a drink, and it seemed a bit wrong not to get a beer but it also seemed wrong not to get an Old Fashioned while waiting for a fish fry. So, Makers Old Fashioned Sour it was, and it was really good! I'd definitely order it again, and love that they didn't over-fill it with ice. It could sit for a bit and not get so terribly watered down. But OMG the fish fry! We try out a new fish fry spot every month, or at least most months, and I have to say this fish is probably my #1 that we've had. It was so delicious. The breading on the outside was light but crispy, and the inside was juicy and moist (sorry, it's really the best word to describe this!). I brought the third piece home (it took a lot of willpower not to eat it). I tear the breading off and give some of the fish as a topper for my pup's dinner. This fish and breading was seriously so good I'd eat the breading straight out of the refrigerator off the fish. The french fries were good, but had a few too many that were overly crunchy (reject fries, as I like to call them). Even so, still good and the fish still gets it 5 stars and the title of "Best." The roll that came with it was likewise delicious. Fun, local atmosphere and good food all around - the regular menu is great, the fish fry is great, the beer is great, and the drinks from the bartenders are great.

We parked in the lot and were a little confused about where the entrance was. There really isn't a clear "front" door -- you enter through what looks like the back, next to a fenced-off area for the air conditioner. Inside, it feels like a typical pub, with a large bar area, video poker games (not a fan), and several different seating areas. Since it was a nice day, we chose a spot outside (we were the only ones there). We were greeted right away by our server, who brought waters and drinks. The menu has a good selection of items. We ordered the Cowboy Burger (on Texas Toast) and a Steak Quesadilla. It didn't take long for the food to arrive, and everything was hot, flavorful, and served in generous portions. The burger was cooked to a perfect medium. The homemade potato chips were very good and served warm. The tortilla chips were also warm -- a nice touch. The quesadilla had a good amount of filling with the steak, though a few pieces were a little tough or gristly. Overall, it was a satisfying meal, and we had enough leftovers to take home. Every bite had me making sounds I usually save for when someone's actually got me pinned down. The two Double Cheeseburgers came in swinging -- stacked, greasy, and absolutely relentless.
