From our engagement, wedding, and now to our growing family milestones, the images Annie captures fill our home and camera rolls with so much joy. I'm the kind of girl that celebrates her birthday multiple times. Every year. Why not? More dinners, more friends, more fun, right? So when it came time for my very own wedding, I knew that dress would be put on twice. A girl that has several birthday dinners HAS to have at least two chances to wear her wedding dress, right? Since we had a very small wedding in the city without my extended family, my family and I put our heads together and decided on a big family BBQ party in my mom's hometown (Monroe, Wisconsin...check it, it's darling!). Of course, another party, another wearing of "the dress," another wedding cake? Another photographer. Enter Annie Steele. I've known her for many years (her sister was our wedding officiant!), and have been admiring her absolutely gorgeous photographs for awhile. Yes, we are friends, but my admiration for her photographs went beyond that. She takes beautiful pictures. Annie and her trusty sidekick trekked up north to photograph us all over town before we made our grand appearance at the party. The courthouse, the town square, the winding rural roads near my aunt's home...we hit all the scenic spots. Her style is very easygoing and flexible. You like that doorway over there? Let's do it. Annie is the best. After photographing weddings for a few of my girlfriends, it was a no-brainer to book ASP for my own wedding. Annie is extremely talented, so passionate about her work, and her and Peter also happen to be two of the nicest people you'll ever meet. Beyond their beautiful photography, they were so helpful in the planning and preparation in ways I wouldn't have expected -- from helping to build my day-of timeline, having us complete a questionnaire regarding our preferences and expectations, and requesting a shot list to ensure we got every combination of family pictures on the day of, they were so helpful. Knowing they were so well-prepared and organized put me at ease... because on the day of your wedding, you're just not able to remember it all! o I can't express how incredibly amazing Annie and her husband Peter did photographing our Chicago wedding this Spring. From our beginning consultation to their skilled art of photographing and editing as well as the presentation of our final products through their beautiful website and my favorite . . . Annie Steele Photography flash drive, they exuded professionalism and excellence in every way! My husband and I opted to do a "first look" prior to our ceremony as the majority of our pictures would be taken prior to walking down the aisle on the Odyssey Cruise Ship at Navy Pier. Annie did a superb job helping us plan those special moments and upon execution was like a fly on the wall so that my husband and I could cherish that time as they inconspicuously captured our highlights. Similarly, we had a private horse drawn carriage ride that Annie and Peter accompanied us on. Their professionalism and stealthy camera work allowed us to maintain a personal and romantic carriage ride between the skyscrapers of downtown Chicago. Annie Steele Photography was beyond exceptional! Annie is literally a gem to find in all of these city photographers. Her personality and level of professionalism is absolutely exquisite! Myself and my husband are not the type of people that are comfortable having a camera in our faces, we were so nervous when she came to Michigan City, Indiana to do our engagement shoot. Within the first five minutes of the shoot she had us laughing, smiling, and put us at complete ease! I don't know how she does it, but the photographs she captured in both our engagement shoot and on our wedding day (in Fort Myers Beach, Florida) completely capture our individual personalities, our relationship together, and somehow she even manages to capture our love story. Annie and her husband Peter work seamlessly together on the wedding day to document the entire day, Peter with the groom and men, Annie with the bride and women. I would rehire Annie a million times because her attention to details, thoughtful gestures, and incredibly high level of professionalism , as well as promptness in replying to e-mails, questions, concerns-ANYTHING -she is seriously there in a flash to let you know that everything will be perfect on your day because she literally will make it that way for you!
