My new number one spot! It's conveniently 5 minutes from my office! My coworkers told me about Annie's Sweet Oven, and now it's my favorite spot! It's seriously perfect! They open at 7 am, and it's right on my way to and from work. The vibe is so chill and relaxing in the morning. It's a coffee shop where you can just hang out and unwind. They always play awesome music. The staff and owner are amazing! Everyone's always smiling, and the positive energy is fantastic. Such a great atmosphere before heading to work. Good vibes all around. They have these delicious breakfast sandwiches on croissants, ciabatta, or wraps. You can pick from a bunch of condiments, proteins, and cheeses. I finally stopped into Annie's sweet oven this afternoon around 1pm, it wasn't too busy which was a plus. The menu is very overwhelming, so I asked if they had matcha since I honestly couldn't find it on the menu. They have three kinds, original, strawberry or banana. I ended up grabbing a strawberry matcha with almond milk (.75) strawberry purée ($1) cold foam ($1) if I would have known of all these up charges I would have just stuck with a basic matcha. But I must admit my $8.43 drink was actually worth it, the matcha had that bitter taste and the purée/cold foam tasted homemade. Service was great, I told them it was my first time here which it was; hence me being overwhelmed and the barista offered me a free cookie, I got the chocolate chip. They have a variety of drinks, smoothies, coffees, boba and teas. Some pastries (no gluten free) but they did have some vegan options. They also serve sandwiches, wraps and salads. I ordered a berry danish and the Tropical Mix smoothie, which I ordered with orange juice instead of milk. It was good and refreshing! The staff was friendly and my order was ready quickly. Annie's Sweet Oven was such a pleasant surprise. The egg-and-cheese croissant sandwich was exceptional, and the value was fantastic. I didn't get to try the coffee drinks, but the baked goods were way beyond what I expected from an unassuming strip mall coffee shop. Parking is incredibly hard to find & compact & the service was not good at all The person taking our order was super unfriendly & seemed annoyed or like they didn't want to be there... Thankfully I had already seen the menu ahead of time so I didn't have to ask any questions. I got the Vietnamese coffee & my mom got a hot latte; both drinks were good. We finally made it to Annie's this morning(everytime I remember to visit its after they close or on the weekends) and it did not disappoint! We ordered a hot vanilla latte and a café sữa Đá, and both were made fresh to order, so good and exactly what we needed to start the day. They even added a sweet treat for our first visit, which was such a thoughtful touch and made the experience feel extra special. I also didn't realize they had seating inside, which is great to know for next time. We didn't get to try the food yet, but the freshly baked pastries on display looked amazing. This is a precious place here in sylmar. You could see regulars come in, they talked to the owner and the owner's family. They're baked goods are out of this world amazing and you have to order the Vietnamese coffee. They're closed on the weekends so that means they have a life and I appreciate that. Can't believe this gem is tucked away inside this plaza. The ambiance is adorable with plants and books when you walk in. A couple 2 seat bistro tables out front, and a few tables inside. Coffee was delicious! Got a black&white mocha with oatmilk and a Salted Caramel Mocha with oatmilk. So good! Ok and the breakfast sandwiches, amazing! Ham, egg & cheese crossiant $10 (+$3 add bacon). So so good! Got 2 danishes, a berry and a peach which were excellent. Always a treat coming to Annie's. It's my go to cafe in Sylmar. My favorite things is there endless pastries and wide drink selection, you also can't go wrong with their customizable sandwiches. I love their chocolate chip cookies, Nutella, spinach or jalapeño croissants, peach danishes, and their chai lattes. They also have a fridge section with sodas, canned drinks, home made juices, chia pudding, and fruit. I used to love coming here. Everything was so good. The owner was always so sweet and always offered samples or free cookies. I still feel like her food is good, but I have noticed some change. Also, the people that she has working, some of the girls are not very friendly or nice. They can be rude at times. This makes it frustrating and not welcoming. read more

Yummy sandwiches! Came to stop by for sandwiches for lunch-brunch. I got an egg and cheese on croissant and my boyfriend got pastrami on ciabatta, I also added a coffee and nutella croissant. Really cute relaxing cafe, playing Christmas music with a lot of plants in the front, some books and magazines to read, a few options for sitting inside or outside. Had a craving for coffee to wake me up. The usual spots have long lines. Then I recall Yelp recommending this place and I was not disappointed. Better yet, I was surprised, elated and thankful that I got here before they closed. Being my first time here, I asked the counter person their recommendation, and she gave an excellent choice; Vietnamese coffee, but I requested it hot, double shot and it was good and it definitely woke me up. I also ordered an egg, spinach and cheese croissant and it too was good, very good. I have found my new coffee and pastry place near my neighborhood. I'd highly recommend this place but then it might get so busy that it would change. Came here because it was close to my house. The vibe inside was very cute and they have a fridge with juices and chia pudding which caught my eye. I wanted coffee but saw they use torani syrups (if you know you know) so I asked the girl what her favorite was and she recommended the white mocha since it was a powder and not torani. First time here, it's a hidden gem in a strip mall in Sylmar. The staff is super sweet and friendly. As a first timer we got a free cookie which was outstanding. I stopped in here on the way back home and decided to give it a try. The place was nicely decorated with several tables inside and one outside. I was able to order with the help of the nice young lady at the counter. She told me she'd call me when my sandwich was ready. I chose the baked turkey on a chibata roll. I brought it home and ate it here. I'm happy they wrap it in paper instead of using styrofoam. The sandwich was delicious and I was too hungry to take a picture. While I was waiting for my sandwich, a young woman mentioned that their Vietnamese coffee was delicious and I should give it a try.
