I stopped by and ordered the Horchata Latte. As far as horchata lattes go, this is definitely among the better ones I've had. It wasn't overly sweet, which I really appreciated, and the cinnamon notes came through nicely without overpowering the drink. My only real gripe is the value. The drink is on the smaller side, and I'm not entirely convinced the price matches the portion size. While the sweetness level was fairly restrained, I imagine most of the energy boost comes from the sugar content rather than the caffeine itself. That said, the drink was enjoyable and well-executed. I absolutely love this space, not only are the pastries and drinks great, but the service is also amazing which makes this place worth coning back to again and again. I've visited this con azucar cafe in Sylmar numerous of times since their soft opening! I've tried a little of everything and I'm truly impressed on how they've gotten everything so perfectly done. My favorite items being their lattes ( specifically the Dulce de leche latte), and their spinach and cheese croissant! But their sandwiches are also delicious. Today I hosted a meet for my junk journal club and the girls all loved their drinks and the conchas. They've created such a friendly and warm space for us to just create, enjoy some good coffee, and just chat. So I highly recommend hosting any type of event or gathering here! Came in on a Thursday morning and the place was packed. Such a cute spot with both indoor and outdoor seating, and I loved the interior design. Definitely the type of cafe that's perfect for studying or catching up with friends. I ordered the Medium Banana Cajeta Protein Latte with Banana Cold Foam ($8). The coffee flavor itself was good, and I appreciate the added protein. If you usually don't like that protein taste in drinks, they do a pretty good job masking it. My only complaint is that I wish there was more banana flavor. Even with the banana cold foam, the drink barely tasted like banana. Saw this place opened up a few months back, got the chance to come and try them out. Walking in immediately it's very aesthetically pleasing, the have inside and outside seating very cutesy inside. I was in the neighborhood and wanted a coffee so I ordered a Mazapán Latte, I was highly disappointed the coffee was freshly made so the whole coffee was different temperatures even when shaken, warm in the bottom cold on top. Using the straw made me just get big chunks of mazapán not even crushed enough. The color of the coffee was a darker colored not much oatmeal milk. Really wanted to like this place, today is 2nd time coming in. First visit drinks were basic, i always want to give places a 2nd try, so went back a few weeks later. Today we tried the $6 ham & cheese crossaints, & once received it didnt look appealing, it looked like my toddler slapped it together, it looks bigger in the picture bcus of how it is thrown together but its actually small. We also tried the Duvalin drink & the Mazapan drink, they are ok, nothing special to crave again. The cutest thing is the swing they have inside. Staff is not rude or friendly. Would I give it a 3rd try? So. excited we now have a Con Azucar Cafe close to home. We finally made it in and had to try the Giant Concha. We went with the pink one and they do have different colors. The Concha is so soft and delicious. For drinks we went with a matcha latte, a cafe de Hoya and chocomil de fresa in a bag all very tasty. The staff is so friendly and polite. What a cute little spot! My friend and I came late on a weekend and there was hardly a wait. Parking is pretty standard- there's a lot in the plaza and more parking in the back. My first impression of the place was how cute the decorations were on the inside! I also was told by my friend that they sold the GIANT concha's here. Next time, I'm going to have to get one to share with my whole family and friends! We ordered the matcha dulce de leche I believe, and a banana muffin and dulce de leche croissant. The Mazapan latte, Mocha Mexicano latte and the horchata latte. The drinks have great flavor but for us, they needed to be a bit stronger. We also ordered a bag of their mini panecitos and a gingerbread cookie. I was pleasantly surprised when trying these as they were soft and tasted freshly made. I usually love this place but today it was such a miss with the chile verde burrito. I paid almost 10$ for this burrito with door dash. The ingredients were not as advertised at all. It's listed to have pork, rice and beans. It has none of that. It was a small frozen egg burrito with some green chiles. So glad these guys are finally open. They have a lot of great drink options and food. The parking is a little scarce but they have a sign that says there's parking in the back. Today I decided to visit this coffee shop because Instagram kept promoting this place, and it looked too good not to try. I'll start by saying the coffee was definitely the highlight. Unfortunately, the burritos were premade, which was so disappointing. What really prompted me to write this review, though, was the customer service. We walked in and were the only customers in line. No one greeted us with a "Hi" or "Welcome." The cashier clearly saw us standing there but avoided acknowledging us, acting like she was looking something up. When she finally addressed us, she simply said, "What would you like?" without making eye contact or even offering a smile. I responded with, "Hi, good morning," hoping to start the interaction on a friendly note, but she completely ignored my greeting. The entire interaction felt cold and unwelcoming. There was no friendliness, no smile, and no basic courtesy. I understand that everyone has difficult days, but customers who are polite and respectful shouldn't be made to feel like they're an inconvenience. A simple greeting, eye contact, or smile goes a long way. I left feeling unwelcome, which overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable first visit. read more
