I agreed and made sure to be there as close to opening as possible. I arrived at 7:07 AM before heading to work, hoping to be one of the first customers. Unfortunately, the bakery was still closed. I waited another 15 minutes, but no one opened the doors. At that point, I had to leave so I wouldn't be late for work. It was very disappointing, especially since I came based on their recommendation. Businesses should honor their posted hours or communicate any delays, as customers plan their schedules around them. I understand unexpected situations can happen, but this experience was frustrating and left me having to go to another Bakery for the cake.

I ended up grabbing a strawberry matcha with almond milk (.75) strawberry purée ($1) cold foam ($1) if I would have known of all these up charges I would have just stuck with a basic matcha. But I must admit my $8.43 drink was actually worth it, the matcha had that bitter taste and the purée/cold foam tasted homemade. Service was great, I told them it was my first time here which it was; hence me being overwhelmed and the barista offered me a free cookie, I got the chocolate chip. They have a variety of drinks, smoothies, coffees, boba and teas. Some pastries (no gluten free) but they did have some vegan options. They also serve sandwiches, wraps and salads. I also saw a mini fridge with to go items as well. Inside had seating with two small tables outside. Small parking lot, but street parking near residential area.

My friend asked for a refill, and I don't remember if she was brought over an entirely new drink or if the server took her plastic cup away, and refilled it. About five minutes later when I asked for a refill, we were then notified that they charge for refills. So, the first time we were charged for a refill without being notified, and then when I asked for a refill we were then told of this "refill" charge, which is basically the cost of an entirely new drink. I declined the "refill." So, for 3-20 oz black iced teas we were charged $12.75. I understand that prices are going up, and restaurants may charge for refills, but the way this was handled was off putting and kind of gross. AND THEN, there is something on the receipt called "cash discount", but it is actually an additional line item charge (I paid w/my Visa cc).

So I asked my wife what is a popular dessert dish and she said bionico so I told the lady working that I would like that with everything. She confirmed with me if I wanted the toppings like granola and etc on it as well and I asked if I could get it on the side. She accommodated me with my request and then asked if I also wanted condensed milk which I decline. I was going to pay with my credit card until I saw that they charge a 4 percent fee so luckily I had cash on me. The lady working was very nice and double bagged the bionico so it can help protect it if it leaks. My friend family really like the bionico especially since they were able to add whatever toppings they wanted to it.
