Been here a few times before, but it has definitely has been a while. Came late on a Wednesday evening, around 8:30, and they close at 9:00. Plenty of tables when we got there, and were seated right away. It's a converted home (remodeled long ago), and there are multiple rooms for dining, which give it a more relaxed feel. The design/decor does look a bit dated. Our server got right to us. Got menu and ordered a couple of Sangrias. The Sangrias were red, refreshing, and a good amount. Given the lateness of the evening, we didn't get any appetizers, but I would have liked to try the Calamari (next time). We ended up with a small "special" pizza and the Lobster Ravioli. There were several choice for sauce of the ravioli and I chose butter garlic. While waiting for our entrees, we were served a basket of garlic bread. The bread was fresh, warm, and plenty of butter and garlic. A nice treat. The ravioli also came with a small house salad. Good, but nothing out of the ordinary. It didn't take too long for the entrees (we were the only customers), and they were hot, flavorful, and good portion sizes. Both were good, but if I had to be honest, not great. The pizza crust was thicker than we like. And the ravioli pasta was very good, but the filling was more like a paste with small pieces of lobster. Definitely could have benefitted by having more lobster. The service was very good, up to the point that we got our meals. After that, we never saw our waitress, until we were finished with our meal, and even then we had to ask someone to find them. Maybe they were busy cleaning up? Not sure. Overall, okay, but with some attention to some finer details could be so much better. Didn't end up on our "gotta get back to that place" list :( read more

Cozy warm and you feel you are at grandmas. And this used to be grandmas home back in the day. Family owned and it's so nice inside. The food is good. I enjoyed the garlic bread, linguine with clams, pizza, the salad, and sausage. The red pasta sauce with the sausage was a bit too salty and I wished it had fresh cut tomatoes in there. The pizza had the best stringy mozzarella cheese I ever had. I could not believe how stringy it was. It was so good. Free open parking. Right across the street from a car dealer. read more

What a lovely experience we had at Ann's! We visited on a Tuesday with no reservation and it was about a 25-30 min wait, which we spent in their bar area. They have a great cocktail and wine list, so we couldn't complain! We got the Venetian Spritz and Manhattan and both were wonderful. The restaurant is a combination of fancy and casual with a nice dining area, but also feels homey. For apps we got the calamari and bruschetta, both were delicious. All our dinners were fabulous. We ordered the linguine pescatore, lobster ravioli, chicken Parmigiana, and beef ravioli. The host (I believe owner too), bar tender, and server were super nice and made our experience very fun. read more

I have always wanted to come here as it looks super quant and cozy. When we arrived we were greeted and seated. Our waitress TATUM was super attentive. She got us drinks right away. We ordered the lobster ravioli which was pretty good. It tasted like imitation lobster we got a salad before our dinner and they had many salad dressings to choose from including vinaigrette and raspberry vinaigrette. Dinner also came with a bread basket. The reason for the 3 is the tables are super close and for my 36th birthday dinner all I heard was 2 kids screaming and crying. I was there to pick up a pizza yesterday for Carey out they made me wait. About 40 minutes before they said it would be ready. I ordered a pepperoni mushroom and onion. I was getting the pizza for my mom's birthday. When I picked the pizza up, it was sausage, mushroom, and onion. The bottom of the pizza was totally uncooked, and the pizza was cold. I would've gladly gotten there much earlier to get the pizza. It also had almost no sauce on it. They are the most expensive pizza in town and sometimes the pizza can be very good but they're carry out. Business absolutely sucks. Go to crossroads instead. And then they make you tip them because when you use your credit card, you gotta sit and sign off on a iPad. I wish I could have my money back on my tip back. I won't be going back again for carryout pizza there. read more

We had driven by Ann's on a few occasions and it looked like such a cute spot, the parking lot is always full (a good sign, yes?), and after reading some of the reviews, we decided to check them out for a date night. I noticed on their website, they recommend reservations. They only take reservations via phone but I'd highly recommend reservations. We called right when they opened and were able to make reservations for 6pm that evening. We arrived, they were bustling. Parking is kind of meandering. If the front lot is full, keep driving to the back. We were able to find a spot. We were seated within five minutes of arrival. They have beer and wine but no cocktails. We had actually gone to a wine bar prior to dinner so opted to stick to water for our meal. I ordered their manicotti with a side salad and garlic bread. The salad was small and crisply fresh. The garlic bread was made from some sort of sesame seed rolls. The bread didn't stand up well to the garlic spread and heat and was really thin and limp. Neither of us was a fan. The manicotti came out piping hot, cheesy, and delicious. I really love their marinara sauce! It was pitch perfect! The service was attentive throughout and the prices were incredibly reasonable. The pizza we ordered was excellent. Crispy crust, quality ingredients and the perfect combination of sauce and toppings. I don't like an overwhelming amount of sauce, especially if it is too sweet. The sauce was delightful so I won't ask for light sauce next time. The wait staff was knowledgeable and friendly. The restaurant was charming. One of my favorite places for pizza in Hales Corners. We ordered the breaded eggplant and the Italian salad for our appetizers. So delicious! We also ordered 3 pizzas - Shrimp Marguerite pizza is my favorite - plenty of nice size shrimp on this pizza! We also ordered the Special (CSO) and the Chicken Tuscan pizzas. Both were really tasty but the special was my favorite out of those two. The sauce is very good and the seasoning is perfect. The thin crust was also perfectly done and not too crispy. My only concern was the plastic silverware and plates that we were given. Not sure why they changed but for a nice restaurant I was surprised. We had nice plates for our appetizers and salad so maybe they decided plastic silver ware and plates were ok for pizza... Our server Claudio was friendly and fantastic and kept our drinks full and our table clean. Definitely recommend this place for a nice Italian or pizza dinner! read more

Ann's never lets you down. Service is always impeccable and the food delicious. I love their pastas and entrees but tonight we went with garlic cheese bread and pizza. Both were just what we needed. I know you're thinking - how hard is it to pull off garlic bread? We both have lived in the area for 60 plus years. Never have been to this establishment, so we said let's try it. As we entered the gentleman at the front door was not very welcoming to see us. So right off the bat I thought ohhh my, are we sure about this? We were quickly seated, the waitress Angie bright bubbly welcoming. So her pleasantry took away the bad vibes. Everyone has a bad moment occasionally. Service was fast, decor and atmosphere comfortable. Salad and garlic bread good, beef ravioli good, chicken cacciatore sauce peppers onions and noodles good. But the chicken cutlet. Tough could have been pounded or tenderized a bit more. Food was served hot. But it is more American Italian food. Not like the authentic food you find in Italy. I found myself in a unique situation where I was offered a pizza before they even opened and I thought hell yes, yes please so a cheese with half sausage and half pepperoni was ordered. You know who you are if you read this and thank you for the great gesture because it was very appreciated. The pizza looked and smelled absolutely delicious with thin crust that was crispy on edges and a bread stick texture for the most part that was tasty. OMG let's talk cheese and do they put lots of cheese on the pizza which makes the whole pizza. The sauce was on the slightly sweet side and also good. The star of the pizza was the tasty sausage by far and the pepperoni was pepperoni. When you put all this together you have a fuc#ing delicious pizza. You have to at least try it once and preferably hot/fresh in the restaurant with that stringy melty pizza pull as you pull off slices. read more

The coziest, most elegant spot for great Italian food! There's a reason Ann's has been around for decades. From the wide variety of wines to the excellent waitstaff, you are in for a treat when you dine here. Taking a chance with no reservations on a Friday night, we were pleased to be able to be seated right away! Although the pasta dishes all sounded wonderful, we decided to stick with what we were craving-pizza and garlic bread! The garlic bread came out quickly and topped with plenty of melted mozzarella. The marinara sauce for dipping was one of the best I've tasted! Shortly thereafter, our large pizza came out piping hot. We chose the deluxe minus anchovies. The toppings were plentiful! You can tell that some of the toppings were placed on fresh just before baking as they still had a good bite to them. I personally liked it but it may not suit everyone's tastes. High Praise for Ann's! As someone who cooks Italian dishes at home I have to say their Linguini with Sausage blew me away! My wife had the Avocado Bruschetta with a side of garlic bread. Great assortment of wines as well. The setting is intimate and classy but not pricey! Service is friendly and timely. If you go, check out the recently open bar in the back! Joe the Bartender is so right for his job - fun and friendly to talk with. The owner Tom and and spoke for a while about our love of wine(s) and travel. This restaurant is always good. The side rooms are exceptionally nice when dining with friends to be able to visit We usually have pizza which is very good, but this time we chose to have a dinner. My husband is a big fish fan, so he had the cod fry and said it done just right. It was on a week day night, so not a fish fry. I chose to try the homemade ravioli of which there were many choices. I had the portobello mushroom with Alfredo sauce. It was out of this world. We will go back, so I can try some of the other varieties. New place for me, even though it's close to my house. Came here with friends based on a recommendation. Made a reservation for 6:30pm but our table was not ready until almost 7pm. They were packed on a Thursday night. I loved seeing community members supporting local, but the wait is why I'm subtracting a star. A lot of people were also coming inside for pick-up orders. Once we were seated it took a little while for our waiter to come over, but once he did we ordered and got our drinks, apps, and entrees fairly fast. The eggplant appetizer was wonderful. We all ordered pasta dishes and we were happy with our orders! Well-made and delicious. Next time I will try the pizza - we saw lots of pizzas at other tables and they looked so good. This was our first time to this unique restaurant which had exceptional drinks, food and service. The recently added bar is an absolute plus. The bartender knows how to make a perfect muddled Old Fashion with Korbel being the rail brandy. We asked for recommendations and our party took advantage of them! My sister and I went here for my birthday dinner. We had a reservation and were seated right away-- excellent! The host was very friendly and so nice. Our waiter was equally friendly and explained that the alfredo sauce was homemade when I stupidly enquired if it was homemade or came out of a jar (d'oh!). Our salads arrived promptly, mine with a very nice raspberry vinaigrette, my sister's with a seasoned sour cream. We also received complementary garlic bread. But my real star of the evening was the mushroom ravioli. It was one of the best things I've eaten in a long time, and that homemade alfredo sauce was just out of this world! My sister had a chicken dish, I forget what exactly since I was raving over that ravioli, but she said it was excellent as well. We were too full for dessert.
