What a wonderful breakfast. A very busy and lively restaurant on a Wednesday morning. Had a delicious hot and spicy 3 egg omelette and wheat toast. This was cooked perfectly and was as good or better than those high priced places. Clean and cheery inside. Excellent service. Small parking lot. I tried a taste of the Pumpkin pancakes and they honestly were the best I've had. What a gem. Also a plus is that it supports a rehab facility. Great job.

HEROES!! I confirmed they support local drug rehab center in Franklin...thank you! Handsome husband and I drove to Franklin, IN today and found this charming breakfast/lunch restaurant since 1952. Biscuits and gravy were almost as good as mine and much better than other establishments. Chloe was our smiling, pleasant server. They appeared to have plenty of staff with speedy service. So, they definitely are doing something right. We will return!! Thanks for welcoming us. Plus easy free parking.

I was in Franklin to run an errand and wanted to stop for breakfast first. It was fairly busy on a Monday morning around 8am. It seemed like there were a lot of regulars. The first thing I noticed how good it smelled from the parking lot before I even got inside. I had a coffee and the scrambler. Everything came out piping hot. The scrambler had hashbrowns, onions, green peppers, scrambled eggs, all topped with sausage gravy. Plus a side of toast. Everything was delicious! My server was attentive and checked on me often. There are about 20 tables inside plus a few tables outside as well. It has a great view of downtown Franklin and it's on separate parking lot. Definitely worth stopping in!

Breakfast. Eggs, bacon, hash browns, pancakes and coffee for $11.99. Fantastic deal!

Great service! Friendly wait staff and fantastic value for the price! Paid 11.99 for coffee, pancakes, eggs, hash browns, and bacon.

Delicious French toast with cinnamon roll topping

Wanted to try out Ann's after driving by it near the downtown square of Franklin. Looked neat like a retro breakfast dinner with its big windows. So the next day we went for brunch since they are only open until 2p. Has the same justly vibe I expected when we went inside. Very busy and lots of staff helping people. You could hear the orders coming up nonstop and lots of people chatting in the Dining area. Neat and not like anything else I've been to in a while. We sat quickly and were helped promptly despite how busy they were and our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. Always a plus! I ordered the breakfast combo that came with 2 eggs, French toast and I got fried potatoes with it instead of meat since I'm vegetarian. Nice they could accommodate me. The food all came out and looked amazing! Was very impressed with how my eggs were cooked and the French toast with cinnamon roll topping was my fav! The fried potatoes were ok, to me they seemed bland but the meal was so large it didn't matter. I really Enjoyed their delicious French toast!! Def worth trying :) Overall enjoyed the atmosphere, food and courteous staff! Can't wait to go back for another brunch and priced affordably as well most options around $8or 9. Check them out if your in Franklin it's great!

This place wasn't bad. It isn't a big place so we had to wait a little bit. I liked the Rise and Shine Breakfast. I wouldn't mind coming back to try the lunch menu. It was busy so that is a good sign. Staff was friendly and food was good.

a bowl of salad and a plate of pancakes

It was a super cute restaurant in Franklin, IN. The weather was so nice, we sat outside at a picnic table ! I ordered the strawberry spinach salad with a raspberry vinaigrette. Not only was it presented beautifully, it was absolutely delicious ! Definitely more than enough to be filling. We also shared one of their pancakes, deemed "the best around"! I would definitely agree with that statement. I would definitely return if I'm ever in Franklin again !

This was a great place which ended their weekend hours. Not sure how you do that and stay in business. Pandemics suck.

And he said the menu will expand again soon. Since I was by myself and he had some time, he sat down and we chatted for awhile. The seating at both restaurants, and you can call them that now since they do not just sell drinks anymore, has been greatly expanded both indoors and outside. He also told me they are working on opening a Plainfield location. I ordered my usual The Slugger on a biscuit for my bread choice (4) with sausage for my meat choice (3) and provolone for my cheese choice (5). It was superb and just how I remembered it from the other location when I was eating breakfast there several days a week about a year ago. I also ordered one Biscuit & Gravy which was excellent as well. I love small local business establishments and cooking. They always have great service and a friendly atmosphere. I parked in the public parking lot across the street since it was a Saturday and street parking was full. The restroom was clean, well stocked and had a pleasant fragrance.

I ordered a grilled cheese along with a sugar pie slice and a London fog. They have other baked good options which looked good too. The grilled cheese was very small and I think cheese got into the pan because it was also cooked onto the bottom side of the sandwich. It was a very small grilled cheese. The London fog tasted quite strong and the sugar pie didn't really stand out. There were other items on the menu though that I'd love to try if I ever go back. What I think took this down to 3 stars was the service. When I went to order, I was just stared at and I thought maybe they weren't ready for me yet but they were. There was just no greeting of "Hi, welcome in" or even a "What can I get for you?" It was just a stare and silence. Now the staff were not unkind...they certainly seemed friendly but that lack of greeting didn't feel great. Additionally, they were very quiet or mumbled when calling out orders and so it seemed like many people listening never heard their order including me. I also had to ask again for the pie after having paid. I bought a bandana as well and didn't see the price tag. When I asked how much it was the staff member said it was either 12 or 15 dollars. She rang it up as 15 when later I saw the price tag and it clearly said $12. I showed the staff member and she said it was $15 and it was a handwriting issue for the price tag. I rarely write reviews less than five stars but I do think if there could be a bit more initiative from the staff and orders called out more clearly and louder for drinks so they don't spoil that would really help.

Throughout the meal we continued to hear the person working at the host stand talking about how the owner will not fix the water damaged, bulging ceiling tiles. Not my favorite topic of breakfast. The service was fast and we loved our server. She always had my cup of coffee full and checked on us a few times throughout the meal. Very personable! The food was less than ideal. My pancakes were thin, dense, and too crispy. Not the good crispy edge from butter on a griddle, but dry as if it has been under a warmer all morning. My over medium eggs were good, but the hash browns were lacking any flavor at all. My husband really liked his chicken fried steak, and at $4 it was well worth it. The portion size was huge! He also ordered a bacon and egg breakfast sandwich. I tried it and it also was lacking flavor. No real bacon flavor and could have used some salt. Sadly with all of the other great breakfast/brunch spots in Franklin, I don't think we will be returning.

It didn't take long to decide on the Eggs Benedict which came with choice of several sides: I went with the fresh fruit. The place was nearly full, yet it wasn't that loud. It made waiting for my order pleasant. My coffee got topped off a couple times and I really appreciated that the temperature was immediately drinkable while providing a deep rich flavor. My order arrived along with my bill (my waitress hadn't asked if there would be anything else and also forgot to bring silverware.) I grabbed a napkin-rolled set of utensils from the counter and dug into my meal. The Canadian Bacon was thick cut and tasty. The eggs were poached to where there was just a small trickle of yolk when sliced. The Hollandaise Sauce was okay, but not as flavorful as I've had elsewhere. The fruit was house cut, but wasn't the freshest. Still okay, but maybe it had been cut hours before. I appreciate that they provided a steak knife to facilitate cutting through the stack, including the English muffin on the bottom. I was soon paying my bill at the cash register by the entrance and was on my way. Just enough to be full without feeling stuffed. Review #2798

I ordered the menudo and the soup was great. I also got 2 steak tacos and 1 pork taco. Also known as tacos de asada 2 and 1 pastor. They of course were delicious fast and hot on the stove. The homemade salsa Verde was a little more coarse then I typically like as it was not that spicey so it was good. Kids got the micky mouse pancakes and they were fully and thr kids ate them all the bacon was crispy too. Last item was chilaquiles hot yummy added steak to ours and just great. The service was fast and on point. With a medium noise level for ambiance. If you wanting to try a new breakfast place come here and give it a shot.

The restaurant itself is fine, your pretty standard strip mall diner vibe but with a Hispanic flair. The music is unobtrusive and it's easy to carry a conversation. The major problem we had was that the kitchen must've been understaffed because food was taking about an hour to come out even for the neighboring tables. The place did die down around 1pm which is when we were leaving so I would definitely recommend coming during off-peak hours. Food: Fresh squeeze OJ - love pulpy OJ and this had tons of it but the oranges just weren't quite at peak ripeness. 3/5 Pastor skillet - The skillet had good flavor with crispy potatoes, avocado, pineapple bits, and nice amount of eggs. The pastor unfortunately had quite a few gristly pieces that really detracted from the experience. 4/5 Tlacoyo - A classic central Mexican dish. It's a stuffed corn patty kind of like a pupusa which is more tortilla like. You can add nopales which is cactus and tastes like green bell peppers and a protein which I added asada steak to mine. I would recommend adding both to make it a nice filling meal. I got half-half red and green sauces as well and they're both delicious, pick green if you want mild and red if you like spicy. Definitely the winner of the meal here. 5/5 Overall, this place serves mid-tier food with great Hispanic twists on your traditional breakfast/brunch options. The salsas and proteins have authentic flavor although some higher quality cuts of meat would level this place up a bit. I would give this place another try but would definitely come at non-peak hours or a weekday if possible.
