Believe me when I say that there is delicious Thai cuisine in Laramie, WY...must I repeat myself??? My parents wanted something different for dinner along our road trip and spending the night in Laramie this restaurant popped up. Upon having a beer at Blacktooth Brewing a block away, we asked the local staff and they highly recommended Anong's. We didn't know that we would be getting such a great experience moments later. Service was wonderful from the start, seated quickly with menus in hand. The waitress waited until we gave the nod to order and came to address us. I suggested noodles for my mom since I have had plenty of Thai when I lived in Portland, OR and that is a safe bet. She ordered the Kee Mao with combo protein little bit of spice. Dad ordered the Panang curry with pork spice level 3 I stuck to the Pad See Ew noodles with chicken. We all were very impressed with the flavors, quantity and perfection on the spice level to what we ordered. Oh, and it came out in less than 5 minutes but it was piping hot, like what? I mean come on, this is exactly what we needed on our trip. I practically had to roll out of there. My mom got half of her meal in a to-go container but dad slurped his bowl of curry dry. I was recommended to try this restaurant while I was visiting Laramie, Wyoming. Upon entering the place, it is very well decorated, and has an authentic ambience, all down to pictures of the monarchy. The service was straightforward and nothing to complain about. Prices were average and menu had a good selection without being too heavy. They have a spice level from one to five and their menu is worn that they will not take refunds because of a spice level issue. This made it feel like I was doing something mischievous when I was ordering a higher spice level, which felt kind of exciting. They brought out some soups with tofu, a nicely flavoured broth, and some veggies which was a nice, Overall, I think this is not a bad place and should be considered. read more

I will give this place a 4 for the benefit of the doubt because service was very clunky. Food however delicious! Ambiance was ok but it's downtown Laramie and inside a very old building. I wound for sure come back and for Thai food in Laramie could be at the upper end of some of the Thai food I have had. I used to Love the food here and I don't know what Happened if it's the new Manager, staff or what but it was HORRIBLE. Placed a to go order and The pad thai is my favorite looked like someones leftovers the noodles were all chopped up the way they get when microwaved, the tom ka soup was a bunch of peas and cucumber and stuff it shouldn't have in it (according to their menu I double checked thinking I was wrong) and for $12 you would think the bowl would at least be full. The peanut sauce was even bad chunky and watery. Not to Mention their Prices all went Way up.(I order the same thing for my birthday every year and it was around $10 higher than last year) Tried to let them know to make it right and the woman who said she is now the Manager was extremely Rude and basically accused me of lying. From the perspective of owning a service dog: I would not recommend this restaurant. We came here after trying another restaurant in the area that had a long wait. This one was practically empty. We were seated next to the door. I can't stand when people treat us different because of the service animal. They're not supposed to by law. The food was decent, as I said before- the service was not. They were stand offish- almost rude. We've been to plenty of Thai restaurants where this was not the case. Today, there was a mix up with our ticket and they were very nice, apologetic, and even threw in a free drink for the trouble! This is a hidden gem! I would not have expected such amazing Thai food in Wyoming, but colored me corrected. Definitely check this place out if you are in the area - the service and food quality cannot be beat. We came a little after the lunch rush and waited a few minutes for a table, a wait that is well worth it. Once seated, our order was taken quickly and drinks were brought out with a smile. We ordered their steamed dumpling as an appetizer, which come with a delectable red curry sauce for an added kick. For my main I ordered the Pad Thai with Tofu, and the potion was gigantic - I wish we weren't on the road because I would have loved to take the leftovers home. Passing thru Laramie we stopped in at Anong's for a meal. The place followed covid protocols greatly. We were seated immediately, menus are available by scan as well. Beer and wine list is pretty good along with foreign beers. We ordered pot stickers and Nam Tok Beef along with fried rice. All was tasty and delicious. We enjoyed the food and the great service. Stopped in here to eat dinner one afternoon this week. Overall the staff was very friendly, patient and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious and piping hot! My partner got pad thai and I got the rad nha. Both dishes has a heap of fresh vegetables and Meat. Cooked to perfection and super flavorful. Made a pit stop in Laramie while on a road trip, and was so happy to have this delicious meal! We got the chicken pad thai, beef pad see-u, thai beef noodle soup, tofu green curry, and tofu spring rolls. The chicken pad thai and beef pad see-u: Cannot go wrong with these staple noodle dishes from thai restaurants. Very filling, and portions were very large! Thai beef noodle soup: WOW, I was not expecting such a rich, hearty, and delicious soup! I think I could eat this everyday! The flavors reminded of me of pho because of the strong cilantro flavor, but not quite pho because of how meaty it tasted. The broth, soft noodles and vegetables were so soothing.... I would love to eat this on a cold winter night snuggled up with a blanket. Tofu green curry: Great! Except, I would warn you that spicy can be really spicy so make sure to adjust according to your preferences. Lastly, the tofu spring rolls: I was disappointed that they only had tofu spring rolls. I never had tofu spring rolls before having it here, and I gotta say that it is not my favorite. Unfortunately, even with the peanut sauce, the tofu spring rolls were bland for me. Excellent Thai food and overall dining experience. They do have a buffet (not sure about the hours) but since I have dietary restrictions, I went with their regular menu. I was able to have a delicious vegan meal here. The tofu summer rolls were yummy. You can also add tofu as your choice of protein to any entrée dish. I had broccoli with tofu and it was delicious. Their flavoring is on point - somehow subtle and robust at the same time. Service was great. Friendly and fast. They also bring you bowls of complimentary soup (I think it was chicken and rice) which is really generous of them. Cute and cozy interior. Just two of us tonight; chicken Pad Thai and Beef Kaprow(here it's called spicy basil leaves here). Both are great; the Kaprow is a tad spicier than I'm used to, so if you have mild taste buds, you can ask to have it made with less heat. The Pad Thai? Excellent flavoring- not really hot at all. So I have been stuck in Laramie (due to the interstate closing) for 4+ hours. I thought I might as well go see what I could find to eat. Stumbled upon this place with the help of Yelp, and I could not have been more impressed. I walked in and was immediately seated, water and soup brought to me the second I sat down. I ordered some summer rolls and some rice, and within 5 minutes I had all of my food. The service was excellent, and so was the food. I wasn't sure about the tofu in the summer rolls, but I am so glad I ordered them anyway. Whatever they marinated that tofu in was certainly a marinade made in heaven. It was divine. The free hot and sour soup was also good, as was the Thai fried rice. I will be back every time I'm in Laramie. read more

Anong's is my absolute favorite restaurant in Laramie! And also happens to be the first place we ever ate in town before deciding to move here :). Lunch or dinner, they are my go to for cuisine, service & ambiance. The kitchen doesn't hold back on the spice when we order our dishes 5* which we appreciate, spicy Thai food is so good! Usually we get the fresh summer rolls as an appetizer, they come with a delicious peanut sauce that can't be missed. Today we had the egg rolls instead which are great because they are vegetarian, and for our appetizers green curry and spicy basil, the spicy basil being one of our go-tos. Again, having your Thai food spicy is the way to go- the flavors are amazing. Overall I love Anong's because the food is ALWAYS delicious and beautiful, the service is fast and so friendly, and- during COVID they have done such a good job with safety regulations, social distancing, providing masks, and curbside/pickups, etc! I would recommend Anong's 1000x times! I have only been to the Laramie location but I am sure Cheyenne and Rawlins offer similar quality. We will be back again and again. read more

Came here at 5pm on Sunday in downtown Laramie parking was relatively easy to find for a downtown location. We were the first people here and I am glad cause the restaurant was packed 10 minutes later and there was only one server. The server seemed a bit indifferent and looked a little annoyed, but he definitely is working really hard. The biggest disappointment was they were out of duck, chicken wings, and no ginger halibut. That being said what they did have was very good. Another oddity was they never ask how spicy you would like your food, they served everything mild, which, I am guessing is how the locals like it. The vegetables and beef was very fresh and tasty for both the panang curry and ginger beef. Both dishes were very good only complaint is would have liked more rice and because there is only one server for the whole restaurant getting him to your table is extremely difficult. My son ordered the pad Thai a little on the sweeter side, but very good. Total for the three dishes was $40, not bad for a Thai restaurant, definitely worth while to come here for something different in the Laramie area. read more

Ordered the Pad Prik King. It was almost all green beans and about 4 pieces of meat. Very disappointed. I'm sure this is a fine restaurant here in Laramie otherwise, but kind of a rip off. If there was an adequate meat to veggie ratio, 4 stars easy, even 5 stars for following CDC guidelines during this pandemic, but don't like being ripped off. Driving through State of Wyoming and stopped overnight in the town of Laramie. Went to Anong's which looked liked the only Thai place in the town. Had the Thai Boat Noodle Soup which was good for where the are located. Can't compare it to places like L.A. or NYC where there are big Thai population. My husband and I drive between denver and SLC often, and we always time it so that we can stop by one of the Anong Thai locations. I can't speak to the inside experience, as we're mid-pandemic, but the pick-up experience was top notch. We've usually made it to Rawlins, but with high winds and a couple of setbacks, we managed to only make it to Laramie before needing to stop for the evening. We wondered, is it possible to equal the Rawlins Anong's? The answer is YES. We got the pork larb, chicken pad Thai and the beef yellow curry. Frickin fantastical explosions of taste in our mouths! On a spice scale on 1-5, we chose 3, and it was just the right amount of heat to balance out the vibrant flavors of the dishes without overwhelming them. If you like Thai, Anong's is not to be skipped. On our way back, we stopped at the Rawlins location of course. We can't get enough of this place (as I write this eating leftovers for breakfast). 5 stars. read more

We are in town for the night and decided to try this place. They said they were short staffed in the kitchen but you never would have known it. The food was the "Best Pad Thai I've ever had " according to my wife. I tasted it (normally not a Pad Thai fan) but I found it was delicious. I ordered the Basil Rice with Chicken and it was delicious as well. my only criticism of the whole evening was that it could have used more basil in the dish. It was carefully prepared, skillfully cooked, very colorful and attractive to the eye. I found it to be slightly mild in spice but that was easily corrected when they brought me their spice caddy. A very pleasant surprise was the arrival of a complimentary cup of soup served to each of us while we perused the menu. the soup was a simple rice in a rich chicken broth and was a delight. Service was impeccable with the staff being knowledgeable, attentive, and frequently refilling our water glasses. We have traveled cross country a couple times and this has become our must-stop in Wyoming. Im amazed that we were able to find this gem. Coming from California, it can be tough finding good Asian food in smaller towns but this might be my favorite Thai place anywhere. The pad Thai has the most perfectly cooked shrimp that pops so eagerly when you bite down and they don't skimp on egg like most places. Perfect balance of tang every time! The Nam Tok Beef was a new one for us to try and we loved it! Great warm heat that settles in between bites but you don't actually feel it while chewing. Loads of beef too.
