I went here for our friend birthday brunch after class and we all were ready to eat. I ordered the BLT with country potatoes. It looked amazing but it was just okay. The sandwich was super dry and didn't come with any condiments on it so we had to ask. My friend ordered some drinks. She got the Bloody Mary which came with a lot of toppings. She also got the country gravy biscuit with sausage which was very sage heavy. It tasted completely like sage and less like sausage. She doesn't eat eggs so she gave me hers and they were very dry as if they had been cooked and sat on the counter for an hour. The service was good, however. We had a very sweet waitress. Enjoyed this brunch spot this morning. The parking is a little rough, but there is plenty. You just may have to walk a bit. Also, I do recommend checking in online, because there will be a wait, especially on a weekend. We ordered half an order of the beignets, which was comped since it was our first time there. That was a nice touch. We really enjoyed our waitress Claire. She recommended either the cinnamon roll French toast or the bourbon pancakes. We went with the pancakes and the supreme omelette. The bourbon pancakes were good, they did still need a little bit more syrup, but the crunch of the nuts was delicious. As for the supreme omelette, there were huge mushrooms in it sausage, bacon, and more. We added the potatoes and they were great and really crispy. Both are excellent choices. Service was great. I really enjoyed the lemon blueberry mimosa. I definitely have to try the St. Germain one next time I go. Tables were clean. We sat at a high top table over by the bar. There is outdoor seating that looks nice for when it is cooler. This is definitely a place we will go to again. I'm interested in trying some of their spiked coffees and other cocktails. I've been here few times now for breakfast and brunch and the quality has been consistent every visit. My son decided to try his eggs a new way (basted). Our server ,Noah ,was such a treat. Was in the area and stopped in around 10:30am on a Saturday. There was a 15 minute wait, which wasn't bad. We were seated in a booth and noticed there is a bar area with TVs playing the college football games. If we'd have known the bar was an option we would have gladly sat there. Service was good. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros (I recommend adding the Chorizo) and my husband ordered Biscuits Gravy with Sausage. The huevos rancheros were excellent- really yummy! First parking was an issue because there was a huge truck in the way and cars are coming in all different directions and even behind the back parking was a little crazy. 2nd, so overpriced that I could easily make this at home. Love the food at this place. If they have enough people working, then you usually get great service. On the weekends you can expect a long wait. The setup of the restuant is pretty good with enough room to where you dont feel crowded. I had the biscuits and gravy which comes with 2 eggs, 2 sausage patties and a bowl of grits. There were 6 of us and we each had something different. I've visited this restaurant many times at different locations. No matter which one I go to, there's always a level of inconsistency or problem with the visit. It's easy to go to when you don't know where to go so I keep going. This visit, when I walked in, there were two others waiting and nobody to greet us. About 5 minutes later, the hostess walked up, was pleasant, greeted us, sat the couple before me and then sat me. As I walked to the table, I loudly moved through the restaurant due to the stickiness of the floor. In a side note, when I left and went to the mall, my shoes were sticking all along the way. The server was extremely nice, attentive, and quick, however it was concerning that he was serving my food while his nose was running. No joke, I literally started sneezing uncontrollably after the fact and could only pray that his nose didn't drip in my plate/coffee. I think all people preparing or serving food should wear a mask. I also don't like that they don't have fancy coffee for the fancy menu. I went basic on my meal. The best experience I had at Another Broken was downtown Baton Rouge. I really hate that they closed. When you walk in, there's an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere. The hostess was friendly with her warm greeting and seated us promptly. (It was a Monday morning, so we didn't expect a wait) once we were seated, our server was quick to come and take our drink orders. They have an extensive drink menu, but we settled on coffee and tea, even though a mid-morning cocktail was very appealing! We ordered our food and it was brought to us in a very timely fashion. Everything was presented nicely. But what we found was most of the food was flavorless. We had to add a lot of salt and pepper to just about everything. I even had to ask for a side of sour cream to accompany my omelette. I noticed the table next to us opted for the country potatoes which were totally burnt!! Our server was very friendly and attentive, however, when it came to settle our bill, it took a little longer than expected. The biggest shock to us was that our bill was pretty high for breakfast for two people!! $55 for two people without cocktails seems a little steep to us, but I'm sure it's totally fine to most. Finally tried this place---went on a Saturday around 9:00 am and on that particular day our party of 2 had no issues air delay being seated---I will say this however, the tables for 2 are awfully small and make you feel enclosed and cramped. There are many other tables available but of course we were a party of 2 so naturally we should be seated where we were placed unless we requested otherwise. The food was breakfast food all dressed up and with a hint of extravagance with non-breakfast additions for some offerings---I think this is great for the person looking for this with a little bit of time to enjoy the offering. If you want quick standard breakfast fare they have this too but the cost is a little high---but no complaints as to taste. The staff was professional, polite and knowledgeable. The Colombian coffee is rich, hot and delicious I had a luxurious lobster and Brie omelette that came with a generous portion of potatoes and an English muffin. The biscuits and gravy were wonderful. Visited 07/13/2024 I've been going to Another Broken Eggs (ABE), intermittently, for some time, originally visiting one of their earlier locations in Mandeville, La, which has since closed and been renamed. Then, ABE, was a quaint local favorite for brunch. Now, ABE has completely corporatized to a multi-state entity, providing some Southern LA-Cajun flare. At this visit, my son and I tried the Perkins Road's location. A convenient spot, well-kept with plenty of parking. As usual, they had a substantial casually dressed local clientele within, with a wait for two of 15-20 mins. While waiting, I utilized their nice to see hygienic restroom to freshen up from the hot outdoors. In a timely manner, we were escorted to our table. Subsequently, we were greeted by our waitress, Chloe B, a pleasant young lady, seemingly juggling multiple tasks. She took our drinks and brunch orders, which were promptly delivered by her associate waiter, Henry. Henry appeared to be an outgoing, courteous, energetic young lad, also serving multiple other tables. The food and beverages (pancakes, Grande mimosa, chocolate milk, and crab cake Benedict's) were well above-par and satisfying. Considering the current Bidenomics conditions, the price was acceptable. In contemplating all the local brunch spots, for a Louisiana flare, this is still a keeper to bring family and friends for a consistent experience. This was my first time visiting this location. I chose to join the waitlist online l. I was a 20-35 min wait per the waitlist. When we arrived we learned that it was still a 20-35 min wait which kinda defeats the purpose of joining the wait list ahead of time. We were seated with in 30 min. We ordered the omelettes. I had potatoes and pancakes with mine and my husband had a waffle. The pancakes were great. The potatoes were hard. I sent them back and asked for the city grits. They were terrible. They were watery with no taste. I also ordered the blueberry brunch margarita and it taste like orange juice ONLY. Over all it wasn't a good experience and I didn't enjoy the food at all. I recently ordered a chocolate chip cookie dough waffle with chicken sausage and city grits. I love chocolate chip cookie dough and I love waffles but together the flavors didn't mesh well for me. After I removed the dough pieces the waffle was delish though. The city grits were pretty good even though it says that cheese is included, I didn't really taste any cheese (which I was looking forward to). The grits were flavorful though. I had to pick the green onions out bc the taste and texture were overpowering the flavor of the actual grits. The chicken sausage was also not that great.
