After reading some favorable reviews on social media, and seeing that they have yakamein on their menu, I decided to stop and order some takeout. I ordered the yakamein, dirty south rolls (egg rolls stuffed with oxtail, mac n cheese, and collard greens), and a shrimp BLT. I was really looking forward to the dirty south rolls (the description sounded great), but honestly, they were pretty bland and underseasoned. I also didn't think they paired well with the accompanying dipping sauce; a bbq sauce or cheese dip would've been more suitable. The yakamein was pretty decent, with nice-sized shrimp, I just wish there would've been more broth. The shrimp BLT tasted great, but didn't match the description. It was described as "fresh shrimp, shaped into a patty and fried" and topped with lettuce, fried green tomatoes, bourbon-glazed bacon, and special sauce." Instead it was just regular fried shrimp with regular tomatoes, regular bacon, lettuce, & mayo. So, that was kinda disappointing. The girl who took my order was very friendly but didn't really know the menu all that well. Another customer was wondering where the voodoo rice was that was supposed to come with her order, since it said it on the menu but hadn't been included. All in all though, I enjoyed the food and I understand that it's still very new and they have to work some kinks out. I think I'll revisit down the road and see if those little issues have been solved. read more

I spent $70+ dollars and I will never order from this dirty, nasty, UNPROFESSIONAL ass restaurant again. The cook doesn't use gloves and has no problem serving raw meat to customers and they don't take accountability for their fuck ups. Will lie and find any reason to not refund you for some bullshit. I placed three orders at the restaurant around 8:20 and specifically asked for well done burgers. After placing my order (834pm), the cashier told me the restaurant was closed and I had to wait in my car even though they closed at 9. I drove home 30 minutes away and began eating to realize that the burger was UNCOOKED. I text my PREGNANT friend to check her burger because its dangerous for pregnant women to eat pink meat. However, the restaurant did not open back up until Tuesday, I called them at 11:40am Tuesday and told her that the burgers were not cooked. The front end manager, Alexeia H, claimed that I lied about being locked out the restaurant at 830, even though my messages with time stamps prove otherwise. The chef/"owner" , Denise, claimed that I lied about the meat being undercooked, even though I have photos of that as well. After back and forth and claims that I lied about everything before seeing the proof. The owner agreed to a refund but when I told them that both burgers were uncooked they hung up in my face saying they not refunding 2 orders which makes no sense because both orders were UNCOOKED and paid with my card. I kept calling back and they declined all my calls. I called from a different number and told them that was rude and that they could go ahead and process my refund and the cashier/front end manager hung up in my face again. I drove up there once I got off and recorded the conversation between me and the owner/chef, after showing her the pink meat she agreed to refund both orders but said she could not do so until the manager returned. (LIE, because how the owner can't override a manager??? its YOUR restaurant). So she said she did not know when the manager would be back (LIE how don't you know when your employees are returning back to work). So she claimed she could not give me a printed refund receipt or any proof of a refund occurring, which is why I recorded the conversation. I made it back to my city and the manager called me saying she would only refund me for one order and I said that's incorrect because the owner agreed to two orders and I have that documented. Then she claims that me recording myself in a conversation that I violated the owners privacy and now she isn't refunding shit and hung up. Which the police officer said that recording the conversation wasn't a violation. At that point I drove up there again, I noticed there was a sheriff outside and the hired "security" with no name badge, said I could not be permitted into the restaurant. So I asked if they could come outside and speak, she said that they said there isn't nothing to talk about. When I asked the security for their names, she said she did not know anybody's names (LIE). I went back to my car to find the health inspector's number and the manger and owner came outside asking the police to make me move my vehicle from the outlet (DENIED). We said you can't make us move & the manger said she doesn't give a fuck and waited until she got behind the security/inside the doors to throw her hands and yell "waddup" like she wanted to fight (scary asf). They filed a police report saying that I threatened them when the manager was the aggressor the entire time and told the police since an employee was threatened that was now the reason I wasn't getting a refund (LYING AGAIN & KEEP CHANGING REASON). read more

Great food at a fair price. The burgers and wings are excellent, and I'll definitely be back to try more. I do wish they offered dine-in because I like the inside of the place, more intimate. Also, I do wish they had a more visible sign from Airline Hwy--but honestly, good food always finds a way. Will be back. read more

First let me start off by saying, I only gave business to this establishment because they are black owned but with that being said. Just because a business is black owned does not mean they deserve your service. The fact that the food is is completely unsatisfactory is the least of why I chose not to give this place my business. Along with the HORRIBLE! Customer service. The frozen food that you can clearly see them grab from a bag and drop in reused oil For EVERYONE TO SEE!!! and if you think about coming here please do not have an opinion you will be banned. So along with having horrible food, horrible customer service, your human rights are also expected to be taken away when having an opinion. Instead of seeking for constructive criticism to improve business to ensure that they will remain in business. I have been coming to this shopping center since 2019 and I have seen this exact business being replaced 3 times I highly doubt they with stand the test of time.
