It was busy, but that is expected on Father's Day I'm assuming. We did an online check-in, so wait-time wasn't as long. (25 mins) This spot has a very comfy, socially and home feel to it. It's located in a strip mall. My wife and I ordered a pitcher of lemonade blueberry mimosa, which was very delicious. Stop by at the restaurant for brunch and was nothing short of pleased. The restaurant was about 2/3 full on this beautiful Saturday around noon. Friendly greeting from the hostess upfront, and we were taken to a table on the north side by the wall. Our server, Bella, was extremely friendly and gave us plenty of time to make our decisions. My companion had the Floridian omelette, with cheese grits, and it look great and more importantly tasted great! A nice chocolate raspberry cold brew accompanied that and it was equally good. I had the Bacquezo omelette, with the country potatoes, and a nice English muffin. The flavor of the chorizo was outstanding and of course, I washed it down with a Diet Coke... although I have to admit that chocolate raspberry cold brew looked really good to me. The music that was playing was great! Lots of 70s and 80s, which is the stuff that I like. Not a good value for your dollar. Upon arrival, noticed my shoes were sticking to the floors, gross. Communicated my concern to hostess, said she would take care of it, she never did. Told a 2nd employee about the floors, she gave us excuses about the night crew not cleaning. Sit at our table and notice on the floor a dried sticky spill of some beverage. I won't be returning to this place. If they can't be bothered to clean the floors where customers can see them, just imagine how bad their kitchen is the customer can't see! As far as most amazing gluten-free breakfast goes, Another Broken Egg Cafe is at the top of my list after one visit! Been thinking about their gluten-free pancakes ever since. Besides the dreamy pancakes, I enjoyed perfectly scrambled eggs topped with cheese and a side of crispy little home fried potatoes. The stand alone GF menu was bigger than most breakfast menus and stacked with appetizing choices. Our party of four included three gluten-free peeps, and everyone ordered something different. We also had the cocktail menu to tempt us. We didn't call ahead and had a 45 minute wait without receiving a text message. Good idea to stay close by. Friday morning while running some early errands we decided to grab some breakfast. We decided to try, Another Broken Egg Breakfast. It's located in an open mall, where it's always busy and allows those who are running early errands swing by and grab a bite, as well as those who decided to have a family, friends, couple, etc.. breakfast or brunch. Parking will not be an issue since it's an open mall parking lot. It is a nice, cute little spot. They do have a nice variety of selection. Great flavors with the seasoned hollandaise sauce, over medium egg and fried chicken. The fried chicken was fried to perfection and not too greasy either - just the way it should be! Went here on a Sunday after church with two other couples. Even though the App said at 12:30 a wait of 15-25 minutes, we were seated within 3 minutes. Yay! Our server Jackie quickly brought menus and took our drink orders. We perused the menu items and two ordered "sweet" options, pancakes & French toast, two ordered omelettes and one had eggs & pancakes. I had to, with great difficulty, pass over my usual biscuits & gravy, but spotted an entree that sounded very interesting. I opted for the Mardi Gras omelette with shrimp, crawfish and andouille sausage. I asked for "extra spicy" and a side of cayenne pepper. Jackie said they didn't do spicy and no cayenne, but there was a bottle of hot sauce on the table. Sadly it was disappointing. This was my first time visiting this establishment. Wow, where has this restaurant been all of my life!! Like seriously! I had such a great experience after a stressful morning. My waitress was very patient with me while I attempted to handle some important phone business. She brought over a free beignets due to me being a first time visitor and my organize juice. Once I was off the phone, she immediately came over to take my food order. It was rude of me to be on my phone, and I typically don't do that unless it is important, but she was very understanding. The ambiance of the place was so cute and relaxing. It's designed like a farm or chicken coop?? Not sure, but it was very comfortable! I was able to relax and enjoy my meal before the next task. The menu was full of breakfast treats and some lunch options. I had a hard time deciding between the Mardi Gras omlette and the Shrimp Benny. Our waitress was consulted and she said to go with the omlette. It was fabulous-Filled with Louisiana crawfish, gulf shrimp, andouille and red peppers, topped with tomato hollandaise, tomatoes and green onions. It came with english muffin and potatoes. My friend had the Veggie Delight Omelette, Goat cheese-filled omelette with fresh spinach, tomatoes and sautéed mushrooms. Served with an English muffin and grits or fresh country potatoes. She ate the whole thing and loved it. The restaurant is large with tables and booths. It is very clean and inviting. There is plenty of parking in front. In addition to wonderful food they have a bar with signature cocktails. I'll be going there again soon. We were so hungry that I didn't get pictures-next time. Ok so today I tried the pound cake fresh toast and in my mind I was thinking it would be some type of bread made to taste like pound cake but nope it was straight up cake, I'm not a fan. The home fries were just fried potatoes with not an ounce of seasoning, very underwhelming. Ok I'm not understanding how you mess up bacon. The bacon was cooked perfectly but tasted like they rubbed it on a cows ass. We were excited to see such an ambitious New Orleans influenced menu with lots of creative sounding dishes. Unfortunately the product does not match the descriptions. Our first disappointment was the beignet which was more a kin to an undercooked scone. Rather than light and airy it was thick and pasty. My wife suffered through a lobster omelette that had almost no lobster a near flavorless sauce and potatoes she said tasted frozen or reconstituted. I had a simple sausage and bacon omelette. This should be a straightforward dish however I found a little meat and a peculiar rosemary taste that dominated. A feeble under-toasted English muffin inexplicably accompanied this dish. I'm not sure what our waitress did other than take our order we barely saw her afterwords on a steady but not busy day. Our dishes were delivered by the kitchen which is great but I sat with an empty coffee cup my entire meal and an empty water glass and despite what looked to be two managers fluttering by I didn't get a coffee until I was literally done with my breakfast and no water refill . To add insult to disappointment the prices here are on the higher side . as an example they offer a picture of mimosas for $33. I wanted to love this place... I was hoping the fairytale menu would at least come close to the hype when the food was delivered. Alas this was a huge miss and with so many options in Safety Harbor.... regrettably...
