First impressions are everything. Sunday, March 1st. We put our name in for the wait and waited outside for a bit then came back into the restaurant. I inquired at the hostess stand if we were still on the wait list simply because we had been outside and people walking in were getting seated immediately. The lady at the hostess stand said verbatim "you've only been waiting 16 minutes of the 20-30 minutes you were quoted". I felt like I was 3 years old being scolded by my parents. Ruined my whole day and experience. Of note...this was not one of the hostesses. The lady was wearing a blue shirt (the hostesses were wearing black shirts) and working in various areas of the restaurant. Great food and excellent service. The decor reminds me of a New Orleans French Quarter building. Only negative thing is all of the street and drainage work being done outside of the restaurant which removes potential parking spaces and uneven surfaces that create hazardous walking conditions for the disabled. read more

We really wanted to like this place but had an awful experience. The service was slow, considering they had 5 people on a Wednesday morning and it wasn't busy so Being understaffed due to COViD was not an issue here. We call on our way to eat brunch here today, when we got there we were seated. We ordered Mardi Gras omelette with City grits, cinnamon roll French toast eggs and turkey sausage, Crab Cake Benedict and City Grits and Doughnut French Toast with egg white cheese and turkey sausage. We went on a weekday. Service was below average. Food came out kinda cold. Bloody Mary's were great. We sat for awhile before server came over. The food and experience were pretty average. It gave us a "Ruby Slipper Wanna Be" vibe. I think there are much better places to eat in the area. Shrimp and Grits were our favorite choice. read more

Waiting on a list for 20 minutes after requesting 2 seats at the bar. We were texted our seats were ready. We walk from our vehicle inside to the hostess who informs us she was sorry but 2 people walked in from the street and took our seats. We had to wait more time and were given a booth where the service was not very good. The two of us ordered the Stan's Mardi Gras Omelet and the Lobster & Brie Omelet. For a norning beverage, I got the Nutty Pineapple Mimosa and she got the Brunch 'n More Bellini. We each had coffee. The food was delectable, service was supreme, and atmosphere perfect - not loud, good accoustics, and available outside seating. We have one in Huntsville, AL. We love that one too. Great food and service. Specialty drinks are extremely pricey. Nearly $10 for a mimosa is ridiculous. Some locations(San Destin) offer the bottomless mimosas for $12 which is great. All in all, one of my favorite brunch spots and always consistent in quality of food. read more

My boss, coworkers, and I order breakfast together every Friday. We decided to give this place a try again since they had messed up our orders in the past, but we were hoping they'd redeem themselves this time. Nope, still disappointed by the contents of our to-go boxes. I ordered the Blackberry French Toast, which I had tried at the Huntsville location the week prior and LOVED. However this time, it was missing the mango whipped cream that I was so excited to share with my coworkers. So I poured my syrup and ate the rest of my meal, which was still good but not as fun. My coworker opens her box, she had ordered one order of City Grits and a single waffle, only to realize that she had no syrup in her box and that I had used the only single serving cup they had included. She used some Waffle House syrup we had saved in a condiment drawer: not as good as Broken Egg's syrup. Next my boss opens her box, and is immediately peeved that she had ordered Salmon Avocado Toast and instead of the advertised avocado slices, it was just GUACAMOLE??? Had anyone called to tell us that they were out of slices, she would have just said to leave it off completely and been totally fine with it. So she had to scrape the guac off her toast and salmon. I don't like to leave bad reviews on here. I don't wanna be upset because I was a waitress for awhile and I know how crazy restaurants can get. But 3/3 orders missing contents and one that didn't even come the way it's described. I just wanna ask that they figure out a way to double check contents, or at least call ahead to ask if they can substitute or omit things if they ran out. Especially since I came all the way from Daphne. Sorry, guys. I know y'all aren't like this all the time, but your to-go's have been slacking lately. read more

Our group of 7 left this place full and happy. Love the versatile menu if you're not sure whether you're craving breakfast, brunch or lunch. The interior of this place is gorgeous. Looks like an upscale restaurant in the French Quarter. I ordered the Hey Lucy - a delightful combo of eggs, chorizo, avocado and other stuff. The Lakeshore scramble and Popeye's Favorite also tasty according to my lunch mates. My daughter enjoyed the waffle sliders. Minor gripe: our food took a bit longer to come out than it should have. I am so glad we have Another Broken Egg. As a resident seeing the place being "built" was amazing. The wood work (done locally) is classy yet rustic. Service is top-notch. I also appreciate the menu. It supports all tastes and indulgences. As a "raging" diabetic the scrambles are perfect and the cheeses even better. I am still lusting over the grits and bread choices. The noise level and seat spacing was not to par hence the 4 stars, but I will be back and will assume Arts and Crafts next weekend will keep ABE quite busy. read more

Went on a Friday morning for brunch with a friend who was in town and we were so excited because the menu online looked amazing. When we got there, we waited for a few minutes for someone to finally acknowledge us and sit us. We were finally seated outside. 10-15 minutes easily went by and still no one had come outside to greet us or anything. My friend went inside to let someone know that no one had come to give us any service. Finally, two waitresses came out at the same time. One was absolutely rude and said the reason no one had come to give us service was because they were busy inside. From that comment, she made it seem like the outside seated customers were not a priority as the inside seated customers were. Luckily, the second waitress was the one who took care of us and she was very helpful and attentive. On a Monday morning, with a half-full restaurant, eggs and waffles took an hour. The kids plates are tiny and coffee and eggs are terrible. $60 later, the kids left hungry and we walked to the nearby bookstore/ coffee shop for muffins and real coffee. Put ourselves on the wait list on yelp, party of 11. Wait was supposed to be 30 mins. We waited an hour and a half to be seated. The way they handled this was terrible. They kept on seating smaller parties instead of preparing for a large party. I will not be coming back to this location and until now, we have never had a problem. read more
