I went there with my family. I had been to the other locations in the past. The food was amazing. Starting with the beignets which were warm and crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside with perfect orange he marmalade jam. We had various omelette form the Floridian to the lobster with Brie. Omelette filled with soft light cream cheese and had generous portion of seafood topping. Wife and daughter got the salmon b Benedict and lobster Benedict. They loved it!! Addded mixed berries pancakes which was filled with berries. Amazing. Service prompt. Decor was very nice. First time visiting this area and trying to stay away from typical tourist restaurants. Checked in for Sunday brunch at the front desk to a well organized electronic waiting list system. Service was excellent and food very good. Had a little issue with one order that manager took care of in a very prompt and curtious manner. Only bummer was the loud obnoxious drunks sitting at the table across from us on outdoor patio. Definitely will eat there again! read more

We were originally told 70 min wait time. Turned out to be 2 1/2 hours wait time then another 30 min wait for the food. The waitress completely forgot our drink order and had to come back and ask and still didn't bring the drinks we ordered. She forgot our orders after and had to ask us all what we ordered in order to charge us and she still came back with mistakes on the tickets. Stop changing everything. Give me back to go containers that don't dump food all over my clothes and these new potatoes are disgusting and all of the tables around us and us as well would not even touch them and they were all thrown away. This company is making changes for the worst and we are going for my once a week to twice a week customer down to a once every two months. We are locals who have been coming here on a weekly to a 2 time a week basis. We have always had great service over the past few months things are changing for the worse and today was the straw that broke the camels back!!!! We come to this restaurant for a specific grade and quality of food with a very specific flavors we have grown to love and recommend to others. Today was absurd. It was Father's Day and all we wanted was a great breakfast with great service and the great staff that we are extremely familiar with. We ordered the same meal we order on every visit which included two extra sides of bacon and two extra sides of potatoes because they're amazing. Instead we got these disgusting fried things that pretend to be potatoes and were the quality of what you see in a KFC restaurant. This is not the quality or food grade that we have come to know, expect and appreciate from another broken egg restaurants. Even worse, we weren't even warned about the change. We threw them all away. Both of the tables next to us were complaining as well and one table even send them back looking for the correct potatoes just to find out that they don't have them anymore. It started with little things like changing the to go containers from a sturdy container that actually fits your food to a container that is seven times to big, lets food spill all over your clothes, falls apart, cannot stay closed, and ruins anything it touches because it taste like cardboard. Then it went to the fact that for some reason the breakfast restaurant cannot cook bacon. My bacon is as black as their dish mats every time we go for the last two months. I have to send back every order. Then the brioche buns they usually have somehow turned into a Walmart quality and style hamburger buns on my sandwich. There are many other restaurants I could go to if I wanted a lower quality of food however we are always more than happy to come multiple times a week and pay higher prices because the food was always perfect and always standardized. Every time you order the Southwest scrambler it is identical there for you love it every time you eat it. Now you order it and hope you get lucky because the potatoes that come with it you're going to have to throw away and the side of bacon you may as well give to your dog. I understand that these potatoes were a test for the restaurant. We all as locals, meaning 100% of the people in that restaurant they got them today or upset, I'm happy, sending them back, and begging for questions as to why we couldn't get our normal food. The two star rating is primarily due to the friendly service and the convenience of being able to sign up on the Yelp waitlist. The food ranged from barely average to just bad. I had the Mardi Gras omelet. It was okay but cold when it arrived, as were the potatoes. My wife had the Floridian omelette. It smelled like they used poor quality lump crab meat or it was just a bit old. The complimentary biscuit beignets were good as was the coffee. After about a 40 minute wait (which we had expected), we were very disappointed with the food, as were the people at the next table (especially for the price). This is probably the most overrated restaurant we've been to in a long time. read more

There was a wait - Sunday in July! But the lady at the front was such a positive, joyful person who was patient and encouraging to others. It was refteshing to see smiles and kindness in a chaotic situation! The brunch was well worth the wait too! Plus now I know you can go to Yelp and get on the wait list ahead of time! Very convenient. We split the City Grits, which were creamy and delicious. I had the classic French toast, and it did not disappoint! Yummy! My husband and son-in-law practically inhaled the Biscuits and Gravy! My daughter enjoyed her pancakes too! We both loved the Lemon Blueberry Mimosa! At first I was seriously ticked off at this place, but they quickly redeemed themselves. Being that it was a Sunday morning, I was excited when I called and was told I could put my name on the wait list (20-30 min wait). I immediately received a text that had a link that showed how many parties were in front of me. I had never seen that and thought "how stink'n cool is this". After waiting an hour and having everyone clear out of the waiting area, and noticing that for the last 30 minutes we had been next in line, we went to the hostess. We were told that we were suppose to check in when we got there... well crap! I wasn't told that on the phone!! After the fact I did notice the text did say to check in at arrival, guess I should have read the whole text. By now my 1 and 2 year olds were screaming for food and not wanting to sit still. Yey for us! We sat down and it took forever for someone to come over and take our drink order... someone or something definitely didn't want us to eat. After waiting about 15 minutes or food arrived. I thought our wait time was actually pretty fast considering how crowded the place was. Our breakfast was delicious! I don't have a single complaint about anything, except maybe the potatoes had a bit too much salt. Also, Josh, a manager, came to our table and apologized for the confusion and for us waiting double the time we should have. What started off awful, ended up being a great experience. This was by far the best meal I have had in Destin. My family and I went here for breakfast. Our server Mike was awesome and very attentive to the children. My husband and I shared the lobster and Brie omelette. It was delicious. Two of my boys shared the chocolate filled waffles, they cleaned up the plate as soon as it arrived. We came on a rainy Saturday at 10am - 30 min wait to be seated and almost an hour wait for the food. Pancakes were cold and some parts of the pancake had unmixed batter powder. Biscuits were stale, chicken & waffles were dry. The only decent parts of our meals were the seasoned potatoes and eggs. Drinks looked awesome though, too bad I couldn't have one to make up for the long wait and below average food. Service was great, only reason why they get more than one star. read more

I had made a trip to the UPS Store and discovered this little gem. My husband and I decided to have lunch. Their menu is rather large for a place that's only open from 7 am - 2 pm, but very unique. This is not your everyday breakfast/lunch place. The food is a little different, but absolutely delicious. The servers are very friendly and attentive, and the decore is very tasteful. I did not realize it until several days later, but I had left my credit card there. Once I retraced my tracks I called the restaurant right away. They had my credit card to which I was very relieved. Someone could have taken that card and had a field day. That did not happen due to the honest servers and management at this establishment. About what you would pay at a waffle house, but a heck of a lot better food and atmosphere. Love the new location! We have been to the Baytown Wharf location about 100 times and finally decided to check out the new location. It is much more spacious than the other location, so come here if you have a group! It is very well decorated with many unique touches. I had my usual, the BLAST sandwich, which is multigrain bread with bacon, lettuce, avocado, smoked Gouda and tomato. I added an egg for $.99. I love this sandwich! Lots of bacon. I tried out the new Mediterranean potatoes, which are red potatoes sautéed with tobacco onion straws, feta cheese and herbs. I'm not the world's biggest fan of red potatoes first of all, but these were a bit undercooked and the onions were completely burned. The feta cheese was the best part. I would try these again, but I think they could use improvement. My dad had the bacqueso (hope I spelled that right) omelette, which has cream cheese, chorizo, etc. He enjoyed it as usual! My mom had the lakeshore scramble, which is a classic favorite. If you haven't been to a broken egg, check it out ASAP! They have so many unique choices, you can't go wrong! If you have been to a broken egg, give this location a try, especially if you're in a group since it's always hard to get in the Baytown location with groups. read more

What an awesome experience we had at this restaurant this morning. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a welcoming host who summarized their specials and gave us free beignets since it was our first visit. Our server Brandy was so friendly and attentive. She was training a new server. It was easy to see why they utilize her as a mentor for trainees. One of the best servers we've ever had and we eat out a lot! The food was delicious! We enjoyed the chocolate stuffed waffle and veggie omelette. The portions were generous. We noticed how the team all worked together welcoming new customers ,setting and clearing tables. We met the manager Josh and shared our positive experience. I am rewriting my initial review, my first experience was terrible not because of the food but because of a miscommunication with the staff at the front desk. I am so glad that after the initial review, the regional manager took her time and first sent me a message and the day after gave me a call apologizing for the inconvenience from the previous day. As a customer I felt really impressed by that personal touch, it really means a lot. We happened to be at another ABE restaurant nearby when Felicia called, she asked where we were sitting and the manager from this location came and greeted us, wow, what a nice thing. That smoothed the whole incident from the day before, now, back to the food. It was good, the bacon is actually the best I have ever had, the scrambled eggs were great. My son loved the chicken and waffle platter, it was delicious. Not a big fan of their pancakes though, too thick for my taste but overall a great experience and the service was unbelievably good read more
