So, I woke up on my birthday trying to decide how I was going to start my day, after I got going I searched Yelp! for some breakfast places, and stumbled across Another Broken Egg with excellent reviews. The site said there was a wait but that I could make reservations through the yelp app, to which I did. When we arrived at the restaurant our table was ready and waiting on us. Who likes to wait anyways! Our waiter promptly came to our table and introduced himself as Heath. He took our drink orders, and disappeared. Upon looking over the menu it looked like a typical breakfast menu, but after a bit of difficult decisions I chose the Broken Egg Chicken biscuit, with a side of country potatoes. By this time Heath had came back with our drinks, and took our order. He was very imformative, answered any questions we had, and even told us some of his favorite items. The wait for food was a short 15 minutes, which was surprising considering how busy they were at this point. Upon first inspection the plating was warm and cozy, like grandma's food. But after first bite you realize that this is better than grandma's food! The biscuit was flaky, and buttery. The chicken was light and crispy, and the egg was cooked exactly how I asked. But what tied the entire meal together was the generous portion of sausage gravy that smothered everything with its seasoned creamy goodness. Every bite I took was fantastic, and reassured me that I had picked the correct place for my birthday breakfast. Once everyone had finished their meals, Heath gave us our checks and thanked us for coming. After we had a brief conversation we finished our drinks and left. Today's opening meal:The Sausage and Fennel Omelette. Eggs stuffed with sausage, jack cheese and onions and topped with fennel, tomatoes, and sauteed mushrooms. Sounds good. Looks good. Tastes great! It was served with an english muffin and country potatoes which I took home because the omelette was a meal all by itself. Our server William did a great job attending to us as well as the table of 10 right next to us. In addition to their culinary fare, they also offer souvenir mason jar glasses with cocktail purchase, as well as modestly cute coffee mugs and a somewhat pedestrian house Pepper Sauce. We were looking for brunch on a late Sat morning and the wait was 45 min or longer at almost everywhere. We added ourselves to the waitlist on Yelp before we headed this way and our table was ready when we arrived. Current wait for walk-ins was 45 min. Our waitress Elena was very kind and made lunch recommendations (turkey panini and chicken sandwich) as I wasn't in the mood for breakfast items. She told the Mgr it was our first time here and he brought us some yummy beignets to try, so nice! My Abe famous infused Bloody Mary was delicious and had a nice spicy depth of flavor. It also came with a thick slice of bacon. The chicken sandwich was also good. I would definitely come back again next time we are in town, especially for the Bloody Mary! read more

I stay away from chains and mini chains whenever possible...but the one place besides fast food I'll make an exception is for breakfast. After all, what are we without Cracker Barrel and Waffle House? Never even knew this place has a location in Atlanta....this beach location was right in the same complex as the place we were staying so it was convenient. Everything was very good. Great waffles....crispy outside, had some chew inside, good flavor. Bacon was done perfectly....fresh fruit....whatever the heck my wife got was filled with fresh ingredients. I was not disappointed at all by this place. I managed to join the waiting list on here which was a smart decision or you might be waiting for a little. The beignets & banana foster pancakes were absolutely amazing. Not only was the food great but the customer service was remarkable as well. We had to wait a little bit for our food because the ticket was lost on accident (I can also tell this never happens) but we didn't complain or say anything instead the manager comes out & apologizes repeatedly & offers us complimentary beignets & other things. If you're lucky enough to be able to drive here and have a meal, I would implore you to do so. Have I tried the whole menu? No. Did myself and every person I knew that went have a dish so good they refused to try anything else? Yes. I personally would get the Eggs Benedict with bacon in place of the usual ham (I do not like ham but that's a whole other story) and let me tell you that I could never eat another places Eggs Benedict. My complaints are that it's overpriced, the potatoes were not hash browns, but the small squares type from a frozen bag, tasteless. The toast comes very dry, with whipped butter in a side dish so the toast is cold and tasteless and dry. Butter should be on the toast and served warm. The coffee is rotten. Community club brand, I think. It's the real reason I won't go back as the coffee was the deal breaker . Bad brand, bitter , and lousy. I was in Panama City Beach last week on an overnight stay. I had a late morning flight out of the nearby airport, so logged into Yelp to find a breakfast spot on the way to the airport. Another Broken Egg Cafe had great reviews so I thought I would try it. I programmed the address into the Google Maps navigation app and off I went. Big mistake. Google thinks it is about 1/3 of a mile further west than its actual location, but I finally found the Cafe. It is tastefully decorated, with sconces with a broken egg motif, and fancy coffee mugs with their Cafe's name on them. It was cute enough that I took pictures to show my wife (and which I'll post here soon). I was delighted by the large selection of my favorite breakfast dish -- Eggs Benedict. I chose the Eggs Sardou which consisted on a perfectly toasted brioche topped with fresh, lightly sauteed spinach leaves, capped with an artichoke heart which formed a cup for a perfectly soft-poached egg. This was all topped by Hollandaise sauce. I have never had this particular variant of Eggs Benedict, and it was excellent. Everything was cooked perfectly and the produce was fresh. It also came with potatoes nuggets, not hash browns. The coffee was good, and most importantly, the wait staff attentive and made sure the cup was kept filled. They even offered to make me a cup of coffee to go. If I travel back through Panama City Beach, I will definitely stop back at this charming place. read more

I am part of a small group that goes for lunch every week. This group has been active for five years. Our wonderful leader called the day before to let the restaurant know that a group of ladies would be coming the next day for lunch at 11:30 and there would be anywhere from 5 to 20 people. We waited for more than 40 minutes when we were rudely asked to leave. The host looked like he had just rolled out of bed and come to work that morning. He was rude and terribly unprofessional. While we were waiting for a table we watched him horse playing in the kitchen. He came back and said the manager didn't like our attitude and that we should leave. Service was slow, it took way too long to be able to order, get our food, and get the check. I ordered the southwest scramble, which was fantastic with the exception of the side of potatoes. I love potatoes and they weren't terrible even though they were cold, but they could have at least heated them up or something. We were also served with free beignets, which was a delightful surprise, and they were amazing! However, the wait for our food was almost fifty (50) minutes! We noticed that other tables that were seated around the same time as we were had to wait a similarly long period of time, which was baffling. Heard nothing but great things and figured I'd check it out. Went for a holiday weekend so it was a little busy, but checked in with the app and cut the time in half. I am very upset about our experience. Service was terrible.. We (party of 7) had to wait about 45 mins for our food (not including the the we waited just to be seated) The waiter said our food was mistakenly taken by another waiter and sent to the wrong table. Said they had to remake a part of it. Then when the food came out they were missing one of the kid meals and had to wait even longer. When we asked for the check she sat it on the table and after 15mins she never came back to pick it up I got up to pay myself. Then as he walked away she laughed and said "I Told you I'll get us free food" I'm beyond pissed! When I took our check up to pay (because our waitress never came back to our table) I then asked if they have a military discount and the look on his face.... When he asked how was everything I told him everything that happened he just rolled his eyes and said in a smartass voice "have a nice day" I would not recommend this place & am beyond pissed! My family lives here in PCB and I can assure that they will not ever return and will get the word out how poor service and management is..
