A unique dining experience! Recommend the patatas bravas and meatballs and Albariño wine. Also had bocadillos and croquetas. All delicious!

How to describe this place is difficult. It is absolutely a must stop for food lovers. I was visiting family in Boise, and my Lyft driver could not stop talking about this restaurant. The food was phenomenal along with the service. We even had a chance to chat with the owner, which was fun.

It is not often that I am able to get over to this Boise staple, but I'm so glad that I took the time and set aside a bit of money to visit this past weekend. I love Basque food so much and it had been way too long since I visited Dan and crew at Ansots! I started out with a nice cold glass of bubbly and it hit the spot perfect! It was a very hot day so that was a must! I ordered the clams with cod in salsa verde and also the gilda pintxo. Both were absolutely fantastic! I love the salty , crunchy and Umami flavor of the gilda and the light, smooth viscosity of the sauce with the clams and the cod. I am so glad I stopped in and I'll have to go back more often. Every time I have visited I've been greeted with big smiles, and absolutely incredible service too! It is a great environment that feels like you're with family. I'm so happy they're there and I will surely be back of course! They might actually get sick of me! Hahaha

Anchovy and pepper bocadillo with blue cheese, chips, and a padrón pepper on the side. Delicious!

Amazing! Everything! Family-ran operation with smiling servers and traditional Basque lunch selections. We had the croquettes which came to us piping hot and fresh (good portion size too). Then we enjoyed the pork belly sandwich and the anchovy + pepper sandwich that came with some funky blue cheese on the side (funky = good)! The vibes are cozy and nothing too fancy. Chorizos hanging in the back, along with a nice selection of goods to buy and take home. We were impressed with our first experience there and will be back for Basque cravings soon!

Wow this place is phenomenal. We had been to Spain last fall and fell in love with the food. This place equals or exceeds the real deal. We had delicious bacalao ( Spanish cod cakes) they melted in your mouth. We had jamon wrapped asparagus that were so fresh and cooked to perfection. So much good food. We will definitely go back next time we are near Boise.

Dan and his team catered my wedding reception dinner and went above and beyond. He worked with me to make a menu that fit our budget that had something for everyone, including dietary restrictions. The food was a huge hit with everyone, and the level of professionalism and service was unmatched. I would not hesitate to recommend Ansots for your next event, or as a nice meal in their restaurant. He is a pillar of the community and a great chef whose passion and commitment shines through.

This unique, tucked away basque lunch spot is so appropriate for the area. The service was friendly . So many choices on the menu it was difficult to choose. Went for the classic option. The chorizo plate was amazing. It had a spicy cheddar an original, and then a garlic rosemary chorizo served with warm bread, grilled onions and pepper. The Jamon croquettes were delicious. Had nice chunks on jamon and were very cheesy. The shrimp and chorizo dish was good but would have preferred the original chorizo in it. They also have some of their products for sale. Would definitely recommend and will return.

Favorite family-owned restaurant in Boise for seriously great Basque comfort food! Reliably excellent food and even better, friendly service. Just love dining here in its casual and comfortable, always crowded, fan favorite restaurant!! Highly recommend it -- not a menu item we would not hesitate to recommend!!

We popped in here to ask about options and the woman working the counter, mom of this franchise owner I think, was so helpful in answering them. A very good introduction to the business. We will drop in again to try a small box for 2 as takeaway to pair with a glass of wine as casual picnic sometime at a local winery. But in general we are like that couple in Portlandia, you know the "Tell us a little bit about your chicken" people (if you don't know the bit I'll post a link below because when it first aired friends said "This is YOU" :-) ) and so we are more Olympia Provisions for charcuterie and local cheeses types. As example, we eat a mostly plant based diet and when we do eat animal proteins we buy them directly from local sustainable practice farmers. Which is no knock on this business,as they use good quality products, she brought some out to show us when we asked and these are better than you will likely get if you're picking up grocery store or big box store charcuterie trays. We also appreciated that as they can they use local veg and fruits here when those are on the trays. OPTIONS: Sizes range from a single serving "cup" ($8) to a box to feed two ($12) to boxes of other sizes and trays of multiple sizes with the top end of that designed to feed roughly 10 ($165). Photo boards in the shop show how the options are put together and a display over the counter shows prices. They offer Keto board options, Vegetarian Board options, Luxury options, Sweet Treat options that include fruit and chocolate and so on. You can also find general menu at the main company link here: https://www.grazecraze.com/menu CONVENIENT LOCATION: for picking up your order because they have a private parking lot associated with the strip mall in which they're location. For 'orientation', this is in the same complex as The Local. Also convenient location in Garden City as there are at least three, maybe as many as five, nearby winery tasting rooms where one can bring in their own eats and the grazing boxes would work well for that. ACCESSIBILITY: Parking lot has accessible (aka ADA compliant) parking which happy coincidence is just outside the door of this business. Shop is all on one level. "TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOUR CHICKEN..." BIT: His name is Colin. ;-) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ErRHJlE4PGI

Expect some awkwardness and maybe delays. They occupy an old Marie Callendars restaurant, still nice, clean, comfy. I've had both the Chicken Sandwich and the Turkey Club. Both are delicious, however, the turkey is like in shards, not a piece of meat, but shavings. A little weird. Tips do not go to servers, but to the program, which is great. They also do catering. The food quality is great, so give them a try.

The one thing to be aware of is that they're learning and it can take extra time to get things right. On our most recent visit, it took 45 minutes. The server explained that we were the first to order the daily special and it took a few tries to get it right. The Daily Special A dish that one of the students (the cook for the day) has dreamed up for the day, so it may not have been made but once prior to your visit. When you pay, you are asked to "Pay what you think it's worth". The special Philly with homemade cheese sauce was indeed incredible and worth every cent of being the best thing on the menu, so I paid top dollar! The good: Everything but the time it can take to get lunch. The meh As stated ya gotta plan 90 minutes for lunch. The bad Nothing to report.

There's a lot of tables and bar type seating at the window. I loved the country type decor and all the roosters everywhere. It's a really cute venue. If I had to describe this restaurant, I would compare it to a cafeteria. You place your order and everything from that point on is self serve. We placed our order at the front register. I got the 2 eggs combo with sausage. My husband got the ham breakfast sammy with sourdough. We grabbed a table and our drinks while our food was being worked on. They has one coffee dispenser for coffee. The coffee looked really dark so I added some hot water to it. Unfortunately, with the addition of the hot water, my coffee was still luke warm. It was drinkable but it would have been nice to have a hot cup of it. My husband grabbed his drink from the soda machine. All of the straws, coffee creamers and utensils were on the side to help yourself to. Food came out pretty fast. My eggs were fried nicely. The sausage was warm but not really hot. The hashbrowns were nicely golden but not really hot. They did give me a good portion of the country gravy. The only thing that was piping hot was the pancake syrup that I got for my sausage. My husband enjoyed his sammy. He did appreciate that the ham was sliced thin and it wasn't a huge chunk of ham. After you're done, they have you clear off your own plates, silverware and cups. Tipping throws me off at this point cause what are we tipping you for? They don't fill got drinks, remove any of your plates or even check up on you. It truly is like a cafeteria. I guess I had a different impression of this joint. I thought it would be like any other breakfast joint in town. Roosters is a easy going venue if you're looking for an easy place to eat at. I'm happy I got to try it out but I probably won't be back.
