I ordered the shrimp with noodles and some crab Rangoon...seems like too much but I've been biking, hungry! When I say I don't know if I ordered right it is really because of the lack of flavor...which is strange. The shrimp were great, hot off the flat top, fresh, nice shrimp taste! The rest of the food, bland...except for the noodles that had a burnt oil flavor from the metal flat top...not at all appealing...don't have to worry about eating too much. The Crab Rangoon were bad as well! All fried wonton, no filling...like dime-bag full! Very easy to fold these for some better presentation but I think then it would really accent the fact they were basically empty of fillings. Would not recommend! If I see them again I will double check how I order, or just try something else. Also charged $24, selected 20% tip and was charge $32? Tax, not sure but that's a lot I think. KT

He has blessed the treasure valley with amazing food and service. This food truck makes for a great lunch or dinner. Today's lunch consists of a side of fried rice, side veggies and some appetizers. The fried rice is so good! You can taste the garlic butter that's used to seasoned the rice. It's a great combination of buttery and savory. I love the minced up carrots and onions in the rice, it gives it great texture. The veggies are always cooked to perfection! I love the slight char the vegetables get from the hot grill. The zucchini and broccoli have a slight crunch to them and is not overcooked. The egg rolls were fried to a perfect golden brown. Crunchy and savory. The crab rangoons are my favorite! There's more than just cream cheese in the middle! You can taste the extra goodies in there, crab and green onion. The wrapping to cream cheese ratio is great! Paired with the sweet and sour sour, chef's kiss! It's always busy at the food truck. Everything is made fresh to order. Staff is always friendly. We were pretty hungry after a long day and looked forward to some delicious food - Off the Grid-L did the trick! I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with onion rings on the burger. That's right - ON the damn burger. They were the good kind too. Super crunchy and somehow the onions actually stayed in the shell instead of falling out like your average diner rings tend to do. The burger itself was cooked perfectly, no pink at all, thankfully, and piled with fresh veggies. I really enjoyed how well the fries were seasonsed. They're the fresh cut kind that have a little skin left that makes them oh sooooo good. The staff running the show were very nice. They waved and immediately greeted us with smiling faces as we walked up to order. Customer service can literally make or break an experience for me. To get both great food and wonderful service tends to be rare these days. I'm glad this business still values common customer courtesy. I haven't seen Off the Grid-L around lately but last year I remember seeing them frequently advertise their location on the Street Food Finder app so if they're on your Boise food truck bucket list download the app! And if they're not then I feel sorry for you because you're missing out on some great food.

Today, our friend brought us to Garden City to walk along the river, and then over to Uncle Guiseppe's for lunch. It is a small, seemingly authentic New York deli that serves a great number of different sandwiches, along with specialty drinks, like sodas, sparkling water, and lemonade. They also well things like pastries and, of interest to us, jarred roasted tomatoes. My wife had the #9 Monte Cristo, and I had the #3 Bonanza. Delicious. I also had a Manhattan Special Black Cherry soda, also super yummy. My mistake, not realizing what I was doing, was to order "whole" vs "half" sandwiches. The whole are footlong. I ate the entire sandwich, holy moly! My wife brought half home. Next time I would probably order a half. The owner, who I will call Guiseppe, had the heavy East Coast accent, and checked on all of his customers, making sure they were happy and satisfied. This place is a little gem. We're already talking about our next visit to Garden City to walk and have lunch at Uncle Guiseppe's!

Last week, two coworkers and I tried MJG for the first time. The food was great! I wasn't able to get a picture of the Guacamole Burger, which was one of the two daily specials, but two of us got the finger steaks, one with fries, one with jumbo mozzarella cheese sticks. I don't eat finger steaks often because homemade versions are hard to fine, but several days after trying these, l had them at a local brewpub who was featuring them as one of their specials of the day. MJG's were far superior in every way. Whatever you do, be sure to get some jumbo mozzarella sticks. Owner/Chef Jimmy was very warm and welcoming. MJG posts their weekly schedule on their FB page. I have been sitting on my fingers since I learned this a week ago to not have to type the news into Yelp in the magical thinking that if it wasn't said it wouldn't be true. But, very sadly, it is. Not only have Aaron and Kelly (he the inaugural chef at Juniper and she the one time business manager for Coiled winery and other food businesses) contributed greatly to people who love to eat good food through their support of local growers and suppliers to use those ingredients in Aaron's remarkably delicious creations and modeled the best customer care, Kelly's ears should be burning for how many times her name comes up when conversations are had with others about examples of "how to" for extraordinary hospitality, they have contributed much to the Boise community by being really wonderful people. Boise is the better for them being here.

Every bite hits, creamy lime crema, fresh pico de gallo, crumbly queso fresco, pickled onions, and a touch of micro cilantro that brings it all together.
