Omg!! they take an unusual amount of time to work on a person! Went in to get a crown, then had to get another on made a fitted, said it would take 1.5 hrs. I was here in the damn chair over six hours! Horrifying if you were counting on their word about the time it took. The person that drive me had to wait in the streets over 5 hours!!!!! This is not about just the time. when I received a root canal, I was not given instructions about probable pain that came right after my meds wore off. I had to call the office back for information. Today I had to have three teeth extracted, I was so scared. The receptionist insured me that I was going to be ok and Dr. Goo was great.. as soon as the assistant sat me in the chair I started crying! They suck you dry. I got a treatment plan with cost and paid up front with care credit. Every time I went back they gouged 150 dollars plus. I had a wisdom tooth pulled and they would not call in pain meds. I have every intention on notifying insurance and care credit of their practice. read more

What's the worst part about going to a dentist? The fear of oral hygiene shaming. My first visit experience yesterday was fabulous. Dr. Boyce the dentist was kind and informative and thorough. But the clincher and why I will go back is definitely for their dental hygienist, Abdul. Decades and decades of having my teeth cleaned, and I've never had such a thorough cleaning with such kindness and patience. The front desk called to reschedule an appointment for my son, then when that new appointment came, they failed to call me to let me know my son's appointment was cancelled completely. I called the morning of, to ask for the check in link, and they said they could not schedule him for another few months as the doctor he was scheduled with was no longer there... we moved to a new dentist where they told me my son (who was at this office prior!) had some cavities that had been left untreated and he now needed a crown... The initial appointment was short and they didn't even clean my sons teeth. Will be reporting to the board and to my insurance. They also scheduled an appointment to "clean" my teeth and said they need to do it in two visits bc of insurance. But then did it all at once and just scheduled a ghost appt so they could tell insurance I came twice. read more

Dr. Gaft, his assistant, and the hygienist all took their time and I could tell they really cared about their patients. I am a person who does not appreciate being lied to, so I chose to leave the office. They do not appear to be following the American Dental Association's reconmmendations: (ADA) recommends following the "ALARA" principle, meaning taking as few x-rays as reasonably achievable to make a diagnosis. I explained to the lovely dentist, about my body being full of radiation from excessive x-rays and wanted as few x-rays as possible. I was shown a pics of a few x-rays on the rooms monitor, not 18! When I got to the x-ray room, I was told they were going to take 18 x-rays. That is not following the ADA's recommendation, "taking as few x-rays as reasonably achievable to make a diagnosis." So, back to looking for a dentist that does follow the ALARA principle. read more

I have been going to LMD for some years. At a routine exam, the doctor found a broken tooth. He was concerned about whether they could save it, but since I wasn't in any pain, the decision was made to wait. It started causing significant pain some months later, and I was in significant pain the day I went. The original dentist no longer worked there. The new dentist ordered work on it to the tune of $7,000 when I already knew part of the tooth was missing, and the first dentist was doubtful it could even be saved. And at the end of the visit, knowing how badly I was hurting, I was shocked when they expected me to do a cleaning! I looked at them like they were crazy. Who would push a patient to have a cleaning under the pain I was in?! I refused, and they scheduled me for a root canal the next week. Over the weekend, however, I exploded into blinding, agonizing pain. I called their on-call number for help. Their service reached out to their on-call team. Not *ONE* of the doctors returned their calls. NO ONE. By 10:30 Sunday night, I could take no more and went to the ER. The waiting room was full, and we sat outside in the tent in 37 degrees. Thank God for His mercy - I have NO idea why, but some blessed doctor passed all those people in there and came out to see ME in 20 minutes! He gave me a prescription for both Norco and Amoxicillin, and his PA, such a sweet girl, sat down next to me, gave me a warm compress, and told me she'd had cosmetic surgery on her lips and asked me if I'd be interested in a nerve block! You didn't have to ask ME twice! I followed close on her heels into the ER, past all those people, and sat in the chair willingly. Let me just tell you how powerful the pain was. She gave me FIVE shots. The nerve block was supposed to last 12 hours. But the pain was so strong that, while the nerve block numbed the pain from the ORIGINAL location, the REFERRED pain was so powerful that I still hurt JUST as bad from other areas! And it only lasted 4 hours. I called LMD as soon as they opened, to tell them I wanted an extraction. Their response, "The doctor doesn't recommend an extraction." !! He actually had the NERVE to think I cared about his recommendation after he didn't care enough to return my call when I needed help?!? I saw straight through that $7,000 recommendation. My husband recommended his oral surgeon. I called, and they were SO gracious and were able to get me in the same day but needed the referral from LMD. By the time I got to the surgeon's office that afternoon, the receptionist at the front desk had had her patience tried with LMD. She gave me a pointed look and told me she had already called LMD twice for the referral. I was so embarrassed. As I stood there, she called a third time and said, "This is my third call. I need the referral now. The patient is already here." So. Not only did they not care enough to call me when I needed help, but I absolutely took this delay as being passive-aggressive since I decided not to have the root canal. This was a disgusting denial of care. My husband, who was just dropping me off on his way to work, for my son to pick me up, hit the ceiling. He had watched me in agony all weekend and told the lady at the desk, "You know what? Enough of this. I'm stopping there on my way to work. She is GOING to get her referral." And he left. Let's just say: I had it 10 minutes later. The surgeon took the X-rays. He put them on the screen. He took one look and said, "First of all, that tooth is fractured right next to the nerve. That's why you're in so much pain. Secondly, that tooth is not salvageable. It needs to come out." VINDICATION! LMD was about to charge me $7000 for a tooth that COULD NOT be saved. Less than 30 minutes later, it was out. And I was in absolute relief! The surgeon gave it to me and I kept it. It reminds me that sometimes you need to trust your gut about some things. I'm no dentist, but even I can see there was nothing to save. The bill? $40. I walked out with a gift bag with a live flower. A lip balm and a desk calendar, both with his logo and office name on it. And by that evening, i received a call from him checking on me to ask how I was doing. THAT's how you do business. I haven't been back to LMD. And I now have a new dentist. It was ALL about the money, ladies and gentlemen. No thank you. read more

Aweful experience. I had scheduled an exam and cleaning. I arrived before 11 am. Had to wait around 15 minutes past the appointment time to get X-rays done. Then I had to wait in a room for the hygienist to check my teeth. He then said I needed a deep cleaning which would not be fully covered by my insurance, not standard cleaning which would have been fully covered. I have exams and cleanings every 6 months, went through a different dentist for years and never had them say I need a deep cleaning. The dentist came in and saw my teeth and said they looked perfectly fine. Over 90 minutes after my appointment time, they then said I would have to get my cleaning a different day and that I was never going to get one the same day. They completely wasted my time. I had to insist that I get my teeth cleaned the same day, and I had to then come back an hour later to finally get it cleaned. The cleaning was less than standard cleaning, and only used water cleaning but not actual metal picks too. The co-owner/boss was nice, but extremely unhelpful. I told her this was the worst dentist experience I've ever had, that it was a scam they told me that I had to have deep cleaning and I wasn't allowed to have standard cleaning. I had to insist on getting my teeth cleaned, the standard cleaning, the same day or they never would have. The dentist and hygienist went out for lunch and I had to leave for an hour and then come back to finally get my teeth cleaned. I was furious that they got to go have lunch but I had to starve until after finally getting my teeth cleaned an hour later. Lost over 3 hours to get this done. Also the co-owner sounded like she didn't even care about my business at their facility. I assured her that I and the rest of my family would never come back, and that she just lost our money. She didn't care. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend finding a different dentist. read more

Dr. Partamian (the Orthodontist) deserves 5 stars. He is the best! He is thorough, has great bedside manner, and doesn't recommend unnecessary treatment. If you/your kids need braces, I highly recommend him. The main dentist (Ortega) and the hygienist are also amazing. The reason for the 2 star rating is the front staff. It's a revolving door, so you will see new front staff at your next visit. They mess up appointment times every single time. They tried to turn me away one time saying I was late, but once I showed them the appointment card they took me in. ALWAYS GET AN APPOINTMENT CARD. They need to update or get a new appointment booking system or they need to stop overbooking. It's a huge pain point. They also don't like dealing with insurance companies and will have you handle the leg work even though they should be doing it. Lastly, if you have anxiety with dental appointments, be wary. This office doesn't really accommodate and don't want to prescribe anti-anxiety medication. read more

I was extremely ill last year from my infections; I am a senior and yes I thought this Dentistry was a good one. I Called Kaiser, As I thought this was being taken care of by Kaiser grievances! Much to my surprise nothing was being taken care of, so I called again as my son reminded me about this place. It started in January of 2023. M Ortega fitted me over and over for these partials that never fit correctly. The goop to fit my mouth with these partials was sent back over and over. That took about 6 months than M. Ortega decided they fit when indeed they didn't. When they came back, he said I said they were ok, when they were not. I said no such thing! This Dentist has no patients and should not be a dentist With these partials I then had to come back over and over to get them adjusted. Asked M Ortega for the money back, he then said they were already delivered, it has been 6 months. I said yes because you kept going back and forth with the partials to the lab. So in tern this company charged me first $2100.00 for a partial top and bottom and, and took another 1k from my Delta account so I am stuck with nothing not even dentures. Really $3100 for partials, People beware of this office and some of the staff. read more

The actual work done was ok. The problem is that over the past year, they have become greedy and really greedy over the past 6 months. They have doubled cost of services. Also made it very difficult to use credit issued back to my account for over billing. Finally applied my credit to my account but made sure to overcharge. I suggest inquiring about whether or not you have credit on your account. If you do ask for printout that reflects the credit amount. Pay attention to your statements from them and from your insurance. I spoke to them about my concerns and was of little help. I canceled my future appointments and have located a new dental office. read more
