4 of us came just for a snack later in the evening, the patio was closed so we ate inside. Had their Sheet Pan Nachos......the chips were stale and the topping was cheese from a bottle, some kind of red sauce, green onions and a dob of sour cream on top. Oh yea and everything is ice cold. I had read a few reviews that there was poor service so I was apprehensive to try The anthem Grille. There's not many restaurants to choose in the area so we finally gave it a try. The restaurant was nicely decorated with a great view of the golf course. We were greeted and sat very quickly. The menu has a variety of sandwiches burgers, tacos and a few dinner items, so there is something for everyone. The service was fast, food great, and they have specials every Friday. They recently added brunch items as well. I've been back 4 times in 2 weeks, and not once have I had to wait for service, and food comes out even faster. My husband always has bad luck with something being wrong and has to constantly send food back, but not once here. The chef has his kitchen running well. Our new hang out! read more

When you come to the door previously you had to go to the counter to order your food have a seat and they would bring it to you this was changed in the past 3-4 months now they have weight personnel taking your order bringing you drinks and food. I've had okay food here before yes I am picky because I have chef capabilities and know what good food tastes like and how easy it is to make it. Came here in the afternoon for lunch. Ordered a Cobb salad, the salad was decent but that was the only thing. The linen napkins smelled very musty, so strong that I could smell it just from it sitting on the table. I'm so disappointed the last few times I have gone there in the last month between food and service it's gone down hill. I went today my food was cold, soggy, and we never got checked on till we were fed up and ready to go. They changed the Nashville hot chicken and it's no longer a Nashville hot chicken, so disappointing the chef came out to talk to me and tried to argue with me that the menu never changed but I've been coming here for years and that was the only thing I've ever gotten it was hands down my husbands and my favorite. If you look at there menu online versus the new menu at the restaurant you can see the changes. We don't have many restaurant choices out in this area and this place used to be nice to go to, not sure if I want to go back now. The food was absolutely fantastic. I had the smoked burger, topped with pulled pork, cheese, onion ring, coleslaw, and skipped the tomato slice. It was outstanding and piled high, of course had to cut it in half just to control this baby. Lunch was thoroughly enjoyed. We had gone just two nights before with out company visiting from North Dakota. We all enjoyed it so much we had to make a quick return visit to see if they could duplicate the first dinner. Yes it did not disappoint. I would like to know how they get the charred flavor on their grilled hamburgers. In all awesome flavor and what a beautiful ambiance. It's awful! I wouldn't recommend this place for these reasons, we had 6 adults and 3 children over the age of 9. Ok the service was good from the kids that work the floor. But on the food note.. First off we ordered chips and salsa the chips were stale and the salsa was sour. We also cheese sauce which was cold and gross. Food comes out sporadically with salads with no dressing and send the server with our dressing requests, before we got dressing for our salads our food came out and then we needed more dressing. Then we go to the food we ordered we haven't ate our salads, and the food was awful, the pizza had no sauce and under cooked and burnt at the same time. The burger was nothing to write home about, the kids chicken Tenders were half under uncooked. All the fries were half cooked mush. read more

Went for lunch with a group of friends. We sat down to find our tables were dirty from the night before! The bartender had to come and clean our tables. Our orders dribbled in so some were finished when others hadn't received their food yet. I ordered the veggie burger and it was burnt. Had to send it back so my order was delayed even further. Seems each time we go to Anthem Grill we leave disappointed. We live here year round and I want Anthem Grill to succeed. I wish they would take more pride in the management, staffing, training and oversight of this restaurant. read more

Since moving to Sun City in January we have eaten at The Grill several times. The food has always been good. We went last evening and I ordered the Meat Lovers pizza which I heard was really good. The pizza arrives and it's cold, barely room temperature. How do you even cook a pizza which it was, but somehow serve it barely warm all within 15 minutes? The only conclusion I can come up with is that it was precooked and then warmed up. Definitely not what I expected. I probably would have said something, but a server was no where to be found. Service and staff are great. Ordered 2 glasses of wine - glasses dirty. Sent back and 2nd glasses had lipstick. No baked potato available and roasted chicken cold in center. Spoke with food manager. He indicated it wasn't his fault that vendor did not bring potatoes. He said the chicken wasn't half frozen. It was just cold and sorry about the dirty wine glasses. Due to the remote area, we do not have a lot to choose from. I would think they could go to Safeway and buy a 20 pound bag of potatoes, look at glasses before they serve wine, and have a temperature control on their meat products. They have all the business in this area. At least they could bring or quality to their food. Manager made it seem as if cold chicken is better than half frozen. Hope it gets better. read more

I don't play golf but I can always appreciate a good view, they have these big beautiful windows that look over an impressive golf course and in the spring and fall it's great to sit outside! As long as you don't eat. Their menu is constantly changing, which would be fine if it weren't for the fact that the three times I've been here their pizza is cooked three different ways all tasting equally mediocre. I live across the street from this place so we had high hopes when we moved in, I suppose it's a blessing disguise considering it's on the pricier side for food that's so incredibly lack luster. read more

Had a very nice early dinner here while shopping for our snowbird home. Beautiful views of the driving range and putting green. A bit of a different way of ordering food... You order your food before you sit down, they give you a number on a card and you go where you want to sit and they bring food to you. We still had great service with prompt delivery of very tasty food and nice call backs to check on us and bring some different condiments we desired. The patio was lovely to dine on with a large TV and ceiling fans to cool. Would and will definitely dine here again. read more

I live across the way at a Del Webb community and thought it would be cool to dine at the Anthem Grille, as the outside eating area appeared to be a nice place to enjoy some happy hour! Unfortunately, the restaurant is set up self-service style with no table side service that one would expect from a restaurant on a golf course. Moreover, the food tasted so-so and the drinks felt feathered. I think the Anthem Grille food, beverage and wait service could be improved with the right leadership team! read more

This place is awful!! Outside patio is gross! There are tons of stains on the seat cushions, old food on the floors (haven't they ever heard of power washing); the bar smells like old alcohol and the manager just turns her nose up when these issues are brought to her attention. The food has been horrible for some time now and no one at Troon Management seems to care. Good luck staying in business. read more

I finally ordered from Anthem Grille. I would have given it 5 stars but I only gave it 4 stars and here are my reasons I ordered - the classic burger. - mushroom and Swiss burger ( cooked perfectly) - fish and chips. ( Was excellent) Positive: 1) Food was really good. Professionally prepaired. I received a lot of fries with my orders. 2) Gorgeous decor.. extremely clean almost extravagant. 3) Very friendly staff. 4) Whoever is cooking the food clearly takes pride in their food. Negative: You have to go up to the counter in this gorgeous restaurant and order. There is no wait staff. It's a gorgeous restaurant and bar but yet you do everything yourself. ( Really not that big of a deal, but it has so much more potential ) Also the fact that it appears to be part of the country club golf course but it's actually it's own entity. All in all...I'm very satisfied and will be giving them a lot of my buisness. Can't wait to try more of their food. I will most likely not dine in just do carry out. Went here to have dinner... wasn't sure what to expect. The interior was beautiful and clean. You order your food before you sit down which also means if you pay with a card you have to tip before you experience the service which is kind of a bummer (have cash for tip) weather you want to tip more or less. Food was good we had sandwiches, pasta, roasted chicken and even pizza. We all were pleased with our dishes. The service was good, little slower then used to. Also has a full bar on the opposite side of the restaurant. Negative- they don't offer resident pricing like we were told they do... when purchasing home in the community. read more

We had not been here for 2 years so we thought we'd try it again. Disappointed the menu was exactly the same, nothing new. Very little choices for dinner menu. I got the battered shrimp and they were so small I was eating mostly batter. If they would add to their menu maybe they would have more customers. As we left the parking lot we also observed a woman walking out to her car who was so drunk she was staggering on the sidewalk keys in hand.
