It feels like this location recently opened because there is a lack of organization; there is no "counter", only a tall desk in the front where you place your order. The original counter is in the back and is covered up by pizza boxes and a large Italian ice cooler in front of it. The tables and chairs are not organized, and I feel like the "order desk" should be on the other side of the restaurant so the employees don't "cross over" the entire dining floor to get to the pizza ovens. One employee had on flip flops, I kind of feel like that violates some rules about going into the kitchen. Ordered two slices and a soda. They did not have fountain drinks, only "cans" of soda. The meatballs on one slice and the sausage on the other slice weren't undercooked, but they had no "char" on them like they were cooked. Pizza was good, probably the best pizza for Benson. I think they need to re-adjust the layout, get a fountain soda machine, and they might do okay. read more

I mean it's edible. I explicitly asked if it was fresh and I was re assured it was but as you can tell from the photo. It was not fresh I even had some cold sauce. I work very close to this location and I've given it a few try's and every time I'm left a bit disappointed with a mildly upset stomach. 3 strikes your out. I can only rate the wings. I did not try their pizza so I can't say if they do well with that or not. But I feel like chicken wings are hard to mess up. I ordered 12 wings Togo, sauce on the side for $16. I had to wait 30 mins for them. It did not appear to be busy. The wings were over cooked. Hard and dry. Our go to for Italian food. Tonight we enjoyed chicken alfredo, bread, calamari with marinara and the alla Nina salad, my favorite. Serving Pepsi products in cans. Iced teas. Offered complimentary glass of wine tonight - we ordered one of each, red and white. Not sure the vineyard, but they were good. Red was too cold for my taste, but ok after it sat a while. I'm happy that there's a LaPiazza location in McGees. Even though this location is "express" with a streamlined version of the menu from the Hwy 42/50 location, it has a lot to offer. The pizza is good, it's cooked in a brick oven, but it's pricey. The garlic knots are absolutely amazing. You must order them! They are loaded with garlic, butter and parmesan cheese. OMG! The best! The antipasto salad was delicious; the ingredients were all very fresh, the mozzarella was superb! I loved the balsamic vinaigrette too. Food is mediocre on top of overpriced, definitely not fresh and ordered from the local food service warehouse. Embarrassing to any local Italian. Service was a town gossiping waitress that seemed more interested in her phone or talking with kitchen staff then cleaning anyway of the dirty tables or tending to customers. Ambiance was like eating in a food service back storage room with tables. This express location is fantastic. My Farfarelle Piazza was full of sausage and sun dried tomatoes. I had dinner, lunch, and still had leftovers. And I should say I don't like Italian food in general but my husband suggested it since it was close to home and our dishwasher is broken so I needed a break. Zucchini sticks are plenty for 2-3 people to share. My husband got the chicken parm and had spaghetti leftover for lunch today. They were super slammed on a Saturday night and I watched the lady take phone orders and manage the carry out folks like a pro !! She earned the $10 tip I gladly gave her. The team was cooking pizzas nonstop and nobody seemed stressed. I have had good service at the downtown Benson location. The Raleigh location was fairly rude to me. The food is good however it is expensive. More times than not you are going to wait longer than the quoted time. There are not a lot of good options in the area so if you want something that's a little higher quality and are willing to pay 5 star price for a 3 or some days 4 star experience here you go. I'd recommend the white pizza but check the bottom to make sure it's not burnt and don't pay for any extra toppings you won't get much. read more

This was my husbands and I third time eating at this Italian Charm! We are new to the area now for 6 months, and 2 out of 3 of our visits we were blown away by the lady that served us our meal! The food was amazing no complaints at all, but during these times to have someone so cheerful, funny and to us she seemed to be the heart of the establishment!!
