Had a very nice evening meal here with friends recently while in town. Been here forever, a large facility with several seating areas. We were greeted walking in by the hostess and seated within the same interaction. Our server was very good, professional, kind and friendly. He took our drink orders and got our appetizer going. We started with the Calamari Fritti, an excellent choice, flash fried with spicy peppers in a light golden batter. Simple, fresh and delicious and cooked beautifully. Served with a spicy maranara. An extensive menu of traditional and modern Italian cuisine. After giving it a good look over I opted for the Rigatoni Rustico pasta with chicken in a rich creamy red pepper and tomato sauce. It was delicious and a wonderful presentation and meal. A nice serving of rigatoni, in a velvety smooth cream sauce with tender chunks of grilled chicken. It hit the spot for me and was a thoroughly enjoyable meal. My dining companions said their dinners were equally as good. Great place to get some GOOD Italian food in Garner! This location is right off Veterans Parkway (formerly known as Highway 42) with a large private parking lot. There's a main entrance as well as a separate door for retrieving pick-up orders. Although I've only been twice so far, both times the service was great. Upon being seated, our server greeted us and filled our glasses with water. I love that they leave large bottles of water at your table so you don't have to wait for a server for a refill. Next, our server shared the specials of the day. Each day, there are soup and entree specials. On my first visit, I ordered the Rigatoni Rustica, and it was DELICIOUS. The cream sauce was magnificent. I loved how rich and creamy it was while not being too heavy. My mother ordered the lasagna. It was good, but the only issue was that in the middle, there was a lot of pasta and not a lot of meat sauce, so the noodles seemed a little thick and not as appetizing. Not a huge issue, but we like a lot of meat sauce. My dad ordered the Cajun Ravioli, which was the special for the day. It was delicious as well. Lunch today at Garibaldi Trattoria in Garner, North Carolina was delicious! It was our first time here and it was absolutely amazing! The restaurant had a very nice atmosphere, friendly service and easy parking. I had the Garibaldi Flatbread (Fresh plum San Marzano tomato sauce, polpette meatball, fresh mozzarella di buffalo, ricotta cheese and fresh basil). My husband had the Cappelini Primavera (Angel hair pasta, fresh summer vegetables and your choice of garlic white wise of homemade marinara sauce). Visited with my family of 8 for my son's birthday. Parking was packed and took a few laps to find a spot. Initially our reservation was not found, but they quickly discovered it and we were seated. The dining room was quite large, but filled with lots of seats. They use a traditional Italian theme. The waitress was a bit awkward and slow, but was nice so we were patient with her. The focaccia bread is amazing! We all got lots of food. The food was certainly the best part. This is some of the best Italian food you'll find in NC. My son got a small dessert for his birthday. This rating is solely based on bread. Yes, you've read this correctly. Today, I ordered a side salad and a side of shrimp for takeout. It cost $18.72. I paid $20.72 and left the $2 in the tip jar. I got my order and asked for bread. The takeout staff member went to the kitchen to ask for bread and came back to tell me bread only comes with entrees. I asked to pay for bread. She said that bread is free. I said if it's free why can't I have some. She said because you didn't order an entree. Excuse me.? The price point for what I ordered is comparable to a pizza or a lunch entree (which comes with bread because I've eaten here more times than I can count). I asked to kindly return my order. Another staff member offered to get me some bread. Then, the original takeout staff member came out with bread. All in all, the principle of the matter is that if bread is free, and if I offered to pay for it even if it were not free, then I should not have been hassled about whether my order qualified for bread. We used to drive to Fuquay to go to Garibaldi for Italian and always came out of the restaurant happy. I was very elated when they opened another location closed to me in Garner. Venue: medium sized restaurant with rustic feel. Food: we get various dishes here but I feel that it is inconsistent with the Fuquay location. We always order pizza here because we truly loved the pizza from Fuquay. But here it is different each time we come. Sometimes pizza is cooked perfect, sometimes too soft, sometimes over baked. Service: service is great every time no matter who serves you. Price: average. Three stars because sometimes it's a five and sometimes it's a one. read more

We've tried the Garibaldi Trattoria in Garner, at the I-40/hwy 42 intersection, several times now. It is almost impossible to tell that the building was originally a Golden Corral and then a PizzaInn, given the extensive remodeling. The pizza is consistently excellent and a very reasonable value. Toppings seem like they are of high quality and the serving is generous too. We recommend the pizza. The rest of the menu is rather mixed. We've tried several pasta dishes and suggest you avoid the Spaghetti Alla Carbonara; it was a gloppy mess. The Gnocchi Bolognese, my favorite, was very, very good, while the spaghetti with meat balls was totally forgettable. We found the $20+ price point for the pasta dishes very high given the portion size and quality of preparation. Avoid the desserts, or at least double check the prices, before ordering. We tried cheese cake and thought it was just OK before realizing that a modestly sized slice cost $15. Garibaldi has a number of very seasoned, professional servers at the Garner location. You will almost certainly receive great service with any of these employees, while some of the others show their lack of experience when the restaurant has lots of customers, although they are trying their best. read more

We were there for a birthday celebration. Went specifically on a Sunday afternoon which wasn't overly crowded so we had plenty of time to eat and sit and visit with family. Service from being seated was excellent by the very nice server, a man named Shannon. We were given time to order then the excellent service began with drinks, focaccia bread with oil, Caesar salads, entrees and desserts. Our every need was anticipated by Shannon. He also helped take pictures of our group. He kept drinks filled at all times. Entrees were very good. A mixture of regular menu items with one special which was rack of lamb. All entrees were delicious and plentiful. A celebration cake was brought to the table for me (it was my birthday) then the other deserts came out. No one had coffee since we still had drinks. Desert were nice including the brownie cake for my birthday, the limoncello cake and a crème brûlée. It was nice that they split the checks for us. Not every place does that. The food tastes fresh and comes in large portions. The waiters/waitresses check on you regularly and are good about refilling your drinks. You don't feel bothered by other people and the atmosphere is great for a date. You'll have leftovers for 1-2 meals after. The only downside is the price is relatively high. Love this place! This is the old Golden Corral off of hwy 42 near Panera. Made an online reservation for 9, checked in when we got there and that was so simple. The restaurant is large and cozy feeling. Al was our server and he was very helpful and interactive. The menu is large but not overwhelming. All of the food was delicious but honestly my son's kids meal pizza was my favorite of the night! I can't wait to go back and order a pizza for myself. The cheese was melted perfectly and crust not too thick or thin and crispy. Prices are on the higher end for me but the food is good so definitely worth the treat! Definitely recommend read more

We went to dinner on Saturday night, there was a wedding party seated near us (we were seperated by a barrier but not a full wall). Members of the party kept coming by our table to go outside and would prop the door open so they could return - coldest night of the year - and I continually would get up to close the door. Some members did NOT go outside but instead would bring their screaming children by our table to walk them in our area (I'm a mom of 3, I understanding removing them from the situation but not to another part of the restaurant). My date's veal was tough, he had to ask for a sharp knife to cut it. Our part of the restaurant should have NOT been used for seating, it should have been blocked off for the use of the wedding party.
