He saw me quickly as a walk-in, and after having a really disappointing experience at another salon, this place was truly a breath of fresh air. Let me start by saying the people were very kind and welcoming. However, the nail polish used on my nails seems to be very low quality or possibly just old or mixed with acetone to stretch it. Hours after my pedicure my nail polish looks like it was separating and it also looks like there are ridges on my nails. Stopped by today for a walk-in full set and pedi. I now remembered why I stopped coming here. It took THREE different people to try and do a french tip. Kim was my ORIGINAL nail tech who literally just put a straight white line across the top of my nail. I explained that it needed to be curved.. she didn't understand. Then I say again to "make it more round" she did another straight white line. I then say "ok, let's just do v-tip French." Kim does not know how to do v-tips so Dana comes and attempts to help. Dana did make a V-tip however, it was crooked. Not symmetrical at all. I say "forget about the French and just do a regular top coat." Something Simple I guess... Dana then had a client walk in and I was pawned off to her son, Hai. Hai did finish but I left out with something else I never really wanted. Moral of the story. Doing alot of mediocre work doesn't make it good. Anyone can dip a finger in powder or put on a top coat. They need TECHNIQUE. One of the worst pedicures . I won't even go into the worst of it (can contact me personally), but filing nails alone should be a part of any pedicure - that did not happen. When I'm paying $73? making sure calluses are taken care of should also be a priority. 30 mins for $73 pedicure is SADDD. I left saying I felt half the pedicure didn't happen. I always go to the Greensboro location and my experience is always excellent, no matter the nail tech I get. I thought the same would happen when I visited the Charlotte location for the first time today. Unfortunately, that was far from the truth. I had Loan La and she rushed through my simple manicure, never asked any questions just go, so fast that that the technician beside her said she is "speedy speedy". My nails are uneven where she cut them and the polish seems more dull than I am used to. Unfortunately, I'll most likely Not visit this location again. This is a fun, scenic nail spa, in full-on Venetian theme, complete with statues, paintings and the bright, blue sky! Naturally, it's situated right across from South Park Mall...and quite large for a nail spa. I especially love the swanky hand sink in the back, featuring a wall with a built-in waterfall. Quite the touch! I usually go to this nail spa during the week, and it's usually very quiet and slow, but today (Sunday), it was literally packed and bustling. From the time I signed in, I actually had to wait about 30 minutes! Still, I can't complain...given how good my Pedicure turned out! As for my Manicure, they actually thought I only signed on for a Pedicure, so I was left waiting in my chair after my Pedi...'til I went up to the front desk to inquire. They fully took blame, and decided to comp me with a free Mani. So, again, can't complain. Overall, I really like this nail spa...definitely my current fave in town. I've been here several times by now, and it seems all the technicians are well trained. Unlike my recent experiences in Rock Hill nail spa, the nail techs also seem very polite and courteous as well. Its location also works really well, given that I love to shop in this South Park area. THE only reason I'm holding out a star is the questionable sanitation of the tools. My step mother and I have been loyal customers at Anthony Vince Nail Spa for at least three years now, but today, I encountered an experience that encouraged myself to never spend my time or money here ever again. I made an appointment for an acrylic fill in, while my friend made an appointment for a full set. While sitting at the chair, I met Linda Vo who was my nail tech. She informed me that she was going to charge me for a full set because I had two nails where my past acrylic did not last. After going back and forth on whether I would be charged or not for a full set, I decided to let it go. For the next hour of my appointment, Linda decided to roll her eyes at me continuously for the rest of the appointment. She then continued to inform all of her coworkers about our disagreement and of course, all of her coworkers were then giving me attitude. Not only to me, but they were also being extremely rude to my friend who had no disagreements with her nail tech. Anthony Vince just lost a very consistent consumer because of their immaturity. Very upset over my first visit here. I brought my friend for her birthday for pedicures. We chose a $50 pedicure each which was to last 45-50 minutes as described on the menu of services. The pedicure was rushed through completely. Totaling maybe 25-30 minutes each. My friend's pedicure was started about 10 minutes after mine and was also only 25-30 minutes. The massage was barely done at all. The lady doing my pedicure was very friendly. I was just so surprised how short it was and how rushed I felt!!! Especially getting an upgrade in service and all. I mentioned this to the girl when checking out and she did discount my service, but not my friend's. She argued that my friend's was longer (but really it just started after mine). I spent $286 on two sns manicures and two gel pedicures here. It also took two trips to get it right. Do not believe the signs they have all over the salon that say *your satisfaction matters to us as a customer, please speak with management until you are fully satisfied.* Yesterday, I came here and asked for the same color on my toes and on my hands. The tech put Anthony Vince' shade # 69 on my toes in regular polish (the color I wanted). I initially paid $52 for an olive oil pedicure. Then, when she was doing my nails, I noticed it looked darker than my toes but waited because sometimes during the process it doesn't look like the end result. Well, I saw the sns color had # 62 (not 69). I speak enough Vietnamese to know that the tech blamed me for the mistake to her colleagues. I did not like the color I have on my fingers but I know it is way easier to fix a pedicure in regular polish than a manicure with sns. SO I offered, can you please change my toes to match my hands? She added another coat of # 62 on top of the # 69 which made my toes very thick. They didn't look good. The color was incorrect but I didn't want to complain. I left at 6pm, had dinner at a restaurant, took my shoes off at home finally at 10pm and the toe polish came off. I came back today. No one apologized to me. I don't have time to let a regular coat of polish dry. I had to get gel. They charged me $20 on top of the $52 I had spent yesterday. They said the $20 was discounted and it should have been $37 to put on gel. I don't believe they would have charged me $89 for a gel olive oil pedicure. It is insane. My one request: It would be so much more relaxing to turn off news channels that are playing on multiple tv's in the salon. I'm moving to Charlotte so don't know where to go around here. After looking on yelp for 2 days I decided to drive 20 minutes to this location bc of the reviews on here. I soon learned from locals not to trust yelp here. My nail shape on my feet were completely changed and looked so ugly, I wanted to go in my car and cry bc I'm leaving for a beach vacation in the morning and now will be forced to wear shoes to cover up the horrible job. Not only was the nail shape changed when all I asked was for a cut down, but polish job wasn't the greatest. I wanted a simple French polish job for a beach engagement shoot and now will have to make sure to some how hide them from the pictures. Very disappointed. I updated my review only to review the terrible technician I had. I want everyone to know Anthony Vince is an AMAZING NAIL SALON! Never any issues in 2 years almost. But today...TERRIBLE TECH. Her name tag read, "Lena" Just look at the photos. She rushed every part. The painting, the clipping, even the cuticle cutting. I bled a couple times. Terrible paint job -- looks like I let my 7 year old niece do them. My pedicure is also painted sloppily and my toe nails were cut but not filed so I have mini-swords here. After she was done, she packed up and left me sitting there. I sat there long enough for the woman beside me to get her gel soaked off and nails re-painted. She just disappeared. Had I not gotten up myself, grabbed my own shoes, and walked to pay I would still be sitting there. I could honestly care less about it being a Mother's Day mini-celebration in there. Worry about & take care of the customers in your chairs before running towards the next dollar. And this was a treat for me -- being 5 months pregnant & my birthday being yesterday. Yay me read more

Went to get a manicure and pedicure today. Gift a regular pedicure and supposedly a gel manicure. It looked to me that the guy used the same bottle and when I asked him if that was gel he assures me it was. I don't write reviews often but this really pissed me off. I'm flying out of the country tomorrow and its been 4 hours and two of my nails already peeled off. I've never had this happen with gel. Update: So after my initial review I returned at the owners request to have my pedi done over and it was an amazing improvement compared to the first visit. They allowed me to get any pedi I liked on the house. This time I tried the white zinfandel wine which was chilled this time and much better tasting. This time my nail tech's name was Mindy she did an amazing job and made sure I was very satisfied with my pedicure! I appreciated that so much. Treating your customers right is so important. Women go to nail salons to relax and pamper themselves and I was able to experience that this time around, Thanks to Mindy! My advice for this place is to make sure all your staff treat people like Mindy does. My advice to my readers who visit here... run from Cindy, beg for Mindy! Took my grandma here so we could get pedicures while I'm up for the holiday. We were seated within minutes. I had Kim and she had Paul. They offered us drinks and made sure we got them. The mimosas were yummy. The massage chairs weren't my favorite, but that's me just being nit picky. They were both very friendly and wanted to engage us in conversation. Paul was a riot, making jokes as often as possible. Kim gave the best pedicure massage I have ever had. She was very thorough with the whole pedicure and still gave a lengthy massage, mostly focusing on my feet! Typically, the nail technician will just rub lotion on the feet and focus on the calves; Kim spent a solid 7-10 minutes just rubbing my feet (and well!). A little bit on the pricey side, as the $27 pedicure doesn't include callus removal. Had to get the $37 ones. Great experience, either way. Especially when Paul admitted he wasn't great at getting out ingrown toenails and called over the expert, as to not hurt my grandma. That was very impressive, as my normal place will dig and dig and dig until you can't walk for a week. Your humbleness is much appreciated, Paul! After we left, I called to inquire about pricing for my mom and found out first-timers should receive 20% off. We did not get that, even though it was known this was our first time. Spoke with the manager, Tom (?), and he apologized for the misunderstanding but said I should have let them know it was our first time (which we did). He offered for me to come back for a refund of the difference, but I didn't feel like driving back, as it was mostly principle. After we hung up, he called me back to say he felt really bad and that next time we come in, mention this situation and we will receive 40% off our services! That's how you provide customer service. I believe he really understands the value in a happy customer. If I was a local, this would probably be my new place (when I could afford it). I live out of town, but highly recommending this place to anyone, especially travelers from outside of Charlotte. I'm much more likely to pay these prices on vacation than every 3-4 weeks. Today (Feb. 27, 2019) I came in for my second visit at 12:30. I was supposed to have an appointment with Pamela. On my first visit I got SNS with ombre and marble. She did an amazing job and after she finished, she said that she set up her own appointments through text and gave me her number. I set up an appointment with her on Saturday (Feb. 23, 2019) via text and she said that she would write me down, but I found out today that she did not! She called in sick and I drove 32 minutes today for an appointment that I thought I had, but I was not even in the system. This is not even the worst part. Since Pamela was not able to do my nails today they found someone else who was going to do my nails. I had a specific design that I wanted but I was willing to be flexible depending on the nail tech. They found a nail tech, named Linda, who said she could do the design, but she was not capable of doing the design. I found this out after sitting with her for over 30 minutes while she tried talk me out of getting the design that I originally wanted. She was also trying to up-sell me. I told her I could do one SNS color with rhinestones. I decided this after she showed me an ombre (her own work) that looked horrible, she also showed me a picture from google as if it were her own work. After we finally came to conclusion on the design, I asked her to file my nails instead of cut them, before putting the tips on. Linda, proceeded to tell me no after filing only 3 of my nails. I proceeded to tell Linda that I would just get a soak off and come another time. When she realized I was leaving, she tried to beg me to stay and said now she can file the nails. I left with my nails looking a mess and I even called back after I left to let me know about my experience, as I did not want to cause a scene while I was there. They have yet to get back to me about my refund, after they said they would be calling me today. Needless to say, I will not be going back. I never post reviews, but I am really disappointed in Anthony Vince and think they made a bad business decision. I had SNnS dip powder done about 9 days ago. I went out of town right after and within 2-3 days my nails were chipping. By the time I got back, at least 5 nails were in bad shape. I went in and showed my nails to the person at the front desk and asked if they could be redone. I was honest and said it had been just a few days over a week since I'd gotten them done, but that I was out of town and came in as soon as I got back. She called her manager who told her to let me know that if I wanted to use the same person, they could offer me a discount to have my nails redone but that if I wanted to use someone else to re do my nails, I would have to pay full price. I did not want to use the same person because I was not sure if the problem was with the person or the product. I was told that they could not help me because it had been more than a week. I told her I was very disappointed, thought they were making a bad business decision and that I would not be coming back (I had been there several times before and had been happy with the service). I went to another nail salon and they said it was probably an issue with the product because as soon as they started to take it off, there were a lot of cracks underneath. They were surprised based on the condition of my nails that Anthony Vince would not redo them at their expense. read more

Tracy did my nails and while I am decently satisfied with the product (gel mani and pedi) her customer service left a bad taste in my mouth. I did feel rushed and I sat in her chair for almost two hours in silence. I tried to strike up a conversation with her and she was not interested. I felt mistreated and I am trying to be empathetic but I will not go back to this salon. I get my nails done often and it is more than just the actual nail service it is the relationship and time spent with the customer.
