I cannot recommend Anthony's enough! The food was delicious. We are from out of town and our waitress made this visit amazing! We were not even hungry but the food was so good, we kept eating. The fried smelts were juicy and tasteful. The D-Branzino was like no other. This quaint place is perfect for some real Italian food!!! When they say home cooked and fresh Italian...... this is what they are talking about! This is a must for some authentic highly-rated options on Rhode Island.

If you're looking for a spot you can always count on, Anthony's Authentic Italian Cuisine is it--I've been so so many times and it never misses. It has that cozy, classic Federal Hill Italian vibe that just feels right whether you're on a date or out with family. I always get the chicken saltimbocca with penne vodka sauce and it's to die for every single time--so flavorful and consistent. The stuffed artichoke is a must, and their espresso martinis are the perfect finish. Everything just feels thoughtfully done, from the food to the service, and it's one of those places I'm always confident recommending because I know it's going to be a great experience.

Sung to the song the theme from love story... Where do I begin? A lovely waitress in this very charming space and artichoke temptress is the first thing on our plate ... and then the soup extraordinaire... So satisfied yet the entrees still to come. We wonder if we will ever get done and then the food arrives and now theres none. Where do we go from here... The ice sorbet it's clear!

The ambiance of the restaurant is small but cozy. Dimly lit so nice for a date night. Our waitress Mina was amazing and very kind. I went with her recommendation of the shrimp scampi with a replacement of Alfredo sauce and it was absolutely delicious and just what I was looking for with angel hair pasta and creamy rich sauce. Everything is made fresh so it does take a little while after ordering to actually get your food but it well worth the wait. The reheat value for the pasta is actually pretty good as well as the sauce doesn't separate when reheating. This is my new go to spot for pasta in providence. I would rate my pasta the shrimp scampi 9/10

Great place to stop for lunch. Parking was easy as they have their own lot. For 17.99 you get a large salad or cup of soup, a main dish and a dessert. The main dish was a large serving of chicken Marsala and pappardelle bolognese. Both were tasty. The highlight of lunch was the rich chocolate ice cream and homemade cannoli. Our waitress Tayla was attentive and very sweet.

This place has been at the end of Federal Hill forever. We finally got here! We came a little early for dinner, since we didn't have reservations, and didn't know if we'd actually need them. There is a small, tight parking lot on the side of the building, as well as on street parking. This is a small restaurant, with a huge bar on one side, and tables on the other. We were offered outdoor dining, but opted to sit inside. Our server, Alessandra, was awesome, calm, and easy going. As the restaurant filled up, Alessandra and the only other waitress we saw took care of the entire restaurant! There was the bartender, too, even though Alessandra made my drink! That, was delicious! Limoncello Spritz! We started with a special appetizer of stuffed zucchini flowers. They were delicious, and so was the sauce they were sitting on. What was disappointing was that there were only 3 flowers in the order, and 1 was pretty small. They were pricey for 3 flowers. For dinner, I ordered chicken Capri with homemade pappardelle pasta. I thought that the chicken, made with artichokes and red roasted peppers, was delicious. It would have been nice to have more of the peppers, tho. The pasta was a bit gummy, like it needed another minute to cook. It was a bit bland in the wine sauce the chicken was cooked in. Next time, I would get it with red sauce. My husband had the chicken Parm, which he said was good - pounded and cooked crispy. Just enough cheese. He would have preferred more sauce. He had rigatoni pasta with it. The Italian bread and oil with roasted garlic was delicious too. We would definitely come here again. In fact, I already know what I'm having!!!

I love the food at Anthony's. Their lunch specials are around $18 now and they include soup or salad, an entree and a dessert. I loved the chicken escarole soup, full of vegetables and pieces of white chicken meat in a savory broth, a bit salty for my taste, but I added some water and it was perfect. The Shrimp Fra Diavolo was really good. Three large jumbo shrimp pieces on a bed of pasta...I asked for the sauce on the side, since I don't like pasta too sauce nor too salty...the dish was really delicious and tasty. For dessert, I got a ball of cookies and cream ice cream...delish. Along with my meal, I got a glass of their house wine, a cabernet from Sycamore Lanes and I was pleasantly surprised at this inexpensive California winery that delivers a nice smooth and robust glass of wine. Excellent service by Michelle.

Service was happy to serve and give great suggestions. Food the bread they serve may not be fresh. Ours center was cold. The ambiance is Mafia style. They do have parking on the side. It's not a lot of cars but it is on the side. If you come ask for Devin. He's a very good server. Great suggestions

I joined a friend last night on Federal Hill at Anthony's..... the food was very good we both started with the clams casino. The clams were good but could have stayed under the broiler another minute or two. I then moved on to the Veal Saltambucca and my friend ordered the Penne Ala Vodka with chicken. Both were very good but just warm not hot. Overall the service was good as well as the food

So, I was understandably hesitant about a new bar moving into what was considered by many to be hallowed ground. Since I walk by it on my way home from work, I decided to stop in soon after it first opened to see what it was like. And now I am a regular and it's one of my favorite watering holes in the city. Super cool atmosphere, with tons of horror movie memorabilia on the walls. A couple of pinball machines ( including a brand new Evil Dead one which is really sweet), and neat liitle outback area for nicer days. They also occasionally have music and drag shows inside, and in the summer months cool shows outside in the parking lot next door. You can also grab a grilled cheese or a hot dog from Puggles Grilled Cheese most days of the week if you're feeling peckish. And my favorite thing... PICKLEBACKS.... !!!! All the drinks are cheap and they have a good selection of beers and ciders. Maybe most importantly, the owners Jeff and Courtney are absolutely lovely people who really understood keeping the locals vibe of the E & O era but also being it's own thing. Definitely support this great establishment.

There's usually some kind of punch available with a name like Ecto-cooler which is a weird color but completely delicious if you're into that sort of thing. They sometimes have pop-ups there, one time they had fancy grilled cheese sandwiches. Definitely a fun spot! It's pretty small inside so just know that and don't roll in with a huge crew...

It's best for small groups (no more than 4-5). I love the customer service here: our server explained the alcohol as we got each of our cocktails. I will admit, though, because I'm slightly hard of hearing, I missed a lot of the explanations, but that's ok. I came in a group of four and we all took sips of each other's drinks and that was really fun! Every drink was great, but I do favor my sake drink, white port/cream soda cocktail, the vermouth, and the one with the amaretto. Don't expect the menus to be the same as in this review! They do change it frequently and have non-alcoholic mocktails, too. We heard about this place from coworkers and that they had won an award for best new bar--an award that's well-deserved.

From our arrival, the hospitality was top tier. Warm, welcoming, unrushed. The space itself is cozy and intimate, with this beautifully curated burnt-orange vibe that feels a like a 1930s-40s Cuban lounge. Even the staff subtly matched the aesthetic and color scheme. You can tell a ton of thought went into every detail of this place. Every cocktail we tried was creative, balanced, and thoughtfully composed. Presentation was beautiful without being gimmicky. One of the hosts/servers took the time to explain each drink. We also tried the flan. It was silky, perfectly set, just sweet enough: 10/10. Once there, we learned that Loma's Latino-owned, and that heritage is subtly celebrated throughout--from their curated Salsa playlist on the high def sound system to their inclusion of Latin American flavors and ingredients in their menu. Oh and one of the details we loved most: there's no big wall of liquor bottles on display like you see in most places. They keep only a few featured spirits visible and tuck everything else away, which gives the whole space a more intimate, upscale, almost homey feel. In short: impeccable vibes, genuinely warm hospitality, gorgeous space, incredible drinks, and thoughtful details everywhere. Loma is exactly the kind of bar you hope to stumble upon when traveling--and the kind that makes you wish you lived closer. A must-visit. We'd come back in a heartbeat.

I was lucky to have tried North when it was open so when I saw the former chefs were preparing the meal for Chef Night, I knew I had to sign up and was so glad I did. The meal was stupendous! The first course was shrimp and corn fritters. The fritters were filled with shrimp and corn and you can visually see the shrimp and corn. It wasn't overly doughy and the sauce was delicious! Chef Andrew described the dish and he told us that the shrimp was locally sourced from Dune Brothers. The second course was noodles with tomato and pepper dashi and grilled fish. The noodles were fresh, but it started to get a little clumpy. The dashi was really flavorful. The third course was miso tres leches cake with sakura whipped cream. This course I was the most excited about and it totally blew my expectations. Chef Andrew told us that they hand picked sakura petals and made their own whipped cream. The tres leches cake was moist, dense, and airy. The dessert was definitely the star of the show. Bravo to chefs Andrew McQuesten and Stephen Sternkopf for a wonderful locally sourced meal. Jean-Marc and the other bartender were also very friendly and accommodating. They checked on all the customers throughout the night and made yummy drinks. I had the Toasted Venture.
