I liked the pizza. I liked the ambiance with the red and wooden touches everywhere, making it LOOK very cozy. DON'T LOVE: AIR temperature is WAY TOO COLD. My eating partner needed an extra jacket. I saw 2 more guests arriving. The guy ran to his car to grab a jacket after 5 minutes. While the food was so good and the waitress so sweet and friendly, (she gave us hot water with a lemon in a chocolate cup to warm up and it did help me feel more comfi under my hat, hoodie and light jacket): So: The place is uninviting due to the air conditioning set too cold. You can't see it on a picture but it IS cold there. Was the same 'too cold here' last time. And I want to feel comfi. Place literally a bit warmer would get more people in there also. Just sat down and I'm enjoying a traditional Hawaiian pizza made by the amazing chef here at Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza & Wings. The salad and wings were good (as usual). That's usually what I order , but this time I wanted a pizza. We asked if they had a thin crust option and the server said they're all rather thin but she'll write down we want it thin. It arrived doughy and limp. So for Anthony's last night a very good review. Met a friend there and we split a fav pizza pictured. Meatball with Ricotta. Discussed with I believe Nicole the last time at the Delray location I gave a 1 star for a few reasons. Nicole informed Manny that the last pie was dry. Manny came over and we talked, he is a super guy. Manny made sure there was enough sauce over the entire pie. I was surprised by how many meatballs there were also compared to the Delray pie. So great! Had 2 slices left to go and Nicole got extra sauce put on them. What a girl! So give them a try and do not be afraid to communicate what your desires are. Searched the web because I wanted to place an order at the Pompano Beach location and the only thing I could get to pop up was their Facebook page. OK, I thought, I'll work with that. But that didn't work so, then, I went to the ACFP website to place my order online. There was a message online indicating that this location is not currently accepting online orders. So, then, I called (954) 942-5550, which was the number listed on the website. It appeared clear that my call had been routed to a general number that served more than just this one restaurant and I was required to press 1 if I wanted to speak to somebody at the local location. I pressed 1 and the phone rang and rang and rang and rang and rang and rang and rang and rang and rang and rang and rang. I gave up. What a disappointment. Always a top choice for pizza night. We love their coal fired pizza, and the wings with caramelized onions are delicious.

We ordered takeout. We also ordered from a place across the street called Doughfellas because they both sounded good and we thought it would be fun to compare. I personally think Doughfellas was the better crust and the overall winner. The staff at Anthony's were nice but the folks at Doughfellas were more warm and welcoming and they seemed intrigued by our pizza challenge. We were a group of 7 3 chose Anthony's 4 chose Doughfellas Bottom line- they're both good. We're all from NYC, NJ and Philly (so we know good pizza) And if you're dining in, Anthony's seemed bigger and busier while Doughfellas was a quiet more intimate spot. Try both!! read more

This is a wonderful gem of a restaurant and bar located in a Walmart neighborhood, store shopping center in Pompano Beach. There are other delightful venues in that shopping center so you'll always find lots of cars because it's very popular. When we first walked into the restaurant, we were instantly greeted by a delightful server who immediately showed us the seating, and invited us to sit wherever we would feel comfortable. We had just finished shopping and it was early in the afternoon. It's a great restaurant if you're a local and like to walk to your restaurants and also do shopping too. Our server brought our drinks to us very quickly and didn't rush us to order. We decided on a large Caesar salad, which is actually big enough for two adults and we had leftovers. Since it was the afternoon, we ordered a pizza to go. It's starting to get later in the afternoon and the happy hour crowd Started coming in. It's a very jovial group of people and it seems like a place that many people frequent often. The ambience of the restaurant is not intimate yet it has a very cozy feel to it. Upon arriving home, we had the most wonderful surprise when we opened our box of pizza. It was perhaps one of the best pizzas I've had in South Florida. Everything on the pizza is fresh. And they include flaked pepper, oil and lots of parmesan cheese to add onto your pizza which you don't find in other restaurants. It was such an outstanding pizza; we ordered another one for delivery three days later and it tasted fresh which is very unusual for delivery. First time trying out ACFP, I ordered online & drove to pickup my order. Gathered a cauliflower pizza & a salad, simple enough....the lady at the front was very pleasant, the review is only for the food. The pizza was VERY burnt, some of the slices were completely ruined. For me, it's ok if my pizza is a LITTLE overcooked but this was beyond the point of being served to a customer. I don't see how their QC could let this slide. So I've actually gone to their other location in Fort Lauderdale and when I saw it here I knew I had to go back. Pizza is my favorite food group and they make a delicious coal fired pizza. The crust is amazing and made in house. The ingredients are fresh and it shows. Their wings are also really good and cooked in the coal brick oven as well. Satu September 2nd I placed a phone order with a staff member named Alexis (Lexi). Alexis was discourteous from start to finish. Alexis seemed impatient as if she had something better to do than her job. Upon arrival for my pick up, I confirmed she was the staff member that took my order and she confirmed it was. I decided she was not deserving of a monetary tip. As I handed her the receipt she saw the lack of tip and mumbled that I was a "bi**h" under her breath. My NINE year old son was in the passenger seat and heard Alexis call me that vulgar name. My son asked if she just called me the "b" word. I am appalled a member of ACFP would speak to a guest in that manner. Today, September 8th, I called the location and spoke to a GM named Manny. I wanted to make Manny aware of the situation. The only reason I bring this up is that Manny asked me to describe Alexis for reference. I did and included her newness to the ACFP family as we come often and her face is not familiar. As well as her hair color, name and the nickname she uses on the phone to take orders. Alexis and Lexi. Manny repeated back to me this description and added the word "pretty" to describe his staff member. I find that odd. Food was delicious as always. Keep it up kitchen staff. A South Florida staple (also available in Woodbridge, NJ) Anthony's bars it's success on well done pizza and baked, not fried chicken wings. We've eaten there often and always happy but, this time we decided to order in so we could enjoy the football game on TV. I have to say, I am computer literate but I lost a quarter of the game trying to use their App. It was not ready to order 2 specialized press and a large order of wings. I've avoided this place thinking it's just a regular old chain restaurant but we decided to go here since my parents and I had bad experiences at other pizza places and we love our pizza a certain way. We ordered our usual pizza with half bacon and half pepperoni. And started with chicken wings. Our waitress was super friendly and nice about my mom's odd request of no Parmesan cheese in anything. The wings came out and they are delicious. Grilled with caramelized onions and a couple pieces of focaccia bread. The second time we went - we asked for all flats and they accommodated that. Our pizza was a large and it was a bit smaller than a large I'm used to but it was great. The crust was crispy and not too thick - just the way I like it!! I'm glad we gave this place a shot. We ordered chicken wings "very well done" they didn't come well done at all. There were the opposite so that even heating them up didn't make them well done, and they were soggy. They also didn't include the ranch dressing. We asked for and they even insisted it was in there until we got home and realized it was not in there. The "grilled" chicken in the Caesar salad way too thick, not sliced in any direction, no grill lines, and it was tasteless, not even cooked through. Other than that, I would say, the only thing that was good were the croutons. Definitely not worth the money I would rather spend double that anywhere else and have food correctly cooked. The pizza is savory and has that smoky coal touch that just seals the flavor into the crust. WOW, Just wow, so good!!. Every bite was perfection and our server, Ashley, was sweet and attentive. She checked in with us throughout and before we finished our sodas, she appeared with two more full glasses.
