    Spinach goat cheese pizza
    Patricia G.

Found The Doughfellas randomly on Google Maps, and just like Bob Ross would say, what a happy little accident that was! Came in the evening, and thankfully it wasn't too busy. It is definitely a smaller place, and there are only a handful of tables. Since it was our first time, and they have a sizable menu that all looks delicious, a super nice woman at the counter helped us make a few decisions. We ended up getting two canned drinks, the burrata focaccina, a 12" spinach goat cheese, and a 12" white pizza. First things first, you are definitely going to have leftovers! The focaccina was surprisingly huge. The cold burrata, on the hot focaccia was sensory heaven. The olives and drizzle of olive oil added such a nice rich, salty, subtle flavor that elevated it so much. The spinach goat cheese was good, but it was really really wet. They serve them on these little cardboard type pizza placemats. And the cardboard was ripping because of all the moisture. I dont know if I would get it again, but it was delicious in the moment. Hands down, the best pizza was the White pizza. One of the best white pizzas I've ever had. The pizza is definitely floppy, and wet like I mentioned, because of the ingredients, and the pistachio added such a nice texture to the softness of the pizza. The truffle was not at all overpowering, which tends to happen a lot with truffle dishes at other restaurants. It also had these little roasted onion petals on it which was unique to me, I've never seen that before. The sourdough crust even had such a light, but crisp wonderful flavor. Highly, highly recommend this pizza. Because of the wetness of the ingredients and the floppiness of the pizza, I would say that this is pizza that you would want to eat fresh, at the restaurant. Though I'm sure you could pop it in the airfryer to firm it up a bit. It is certainly not a cheap meal, but it is 100% worth it. With two canned drinks, the focaccina and the two 12" pizzas, the total was a little over $60. Because of the priciness, it's not some place that I would go regularly, but I will definitely be back and take my friends and family here for those one-off dinners.

The BEST pizza!!! We come here every week and it never disappoints. No pizza anywhere in the area even comes close. The dough they use is NEXT LEVEL. Trust us!

Half and half - top is chicken catupiry and bottom is calabrese

Stopped in for a quick bite on a Sunday night - small and quiet spot in a small plaza. We were greeted by the owner herself who explained a little bit about the menu and offered up the most popular pizzas to try. We did half-and-half (greatly appreciated option) and chose the chicken catupiry and the calabrese. Both were good but the chicken catupiry is something special! I had never heard of catupiry cheese and was very excited to try it - delicious! I agree with another reviewer who mentioned the slices are floppy - the dough was a little soft and could benefit from being cooked a little longer. I'll likely request that next time. Overall, would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back.

Great find! We were in the mood for pizza and I remembered I had been wanting to try this spot. Parking was limited but we found a spot on the side next to the deli. When you come in, you order at the front and then have a seat while you wait for the food. There aren't many tables available but we were able to get one. The service was amazing. The entire staff is so friendly and helpful. After a few recommendations we knew what we wanted to try. Our food came out very quickly. We loved their pizzas, we ordered two 14 inch pies. - The pepperoni, which was everyone's favorite. 5/5 - For the second pie we ordered 1/2 white pizza (Fresh Mozzarella, Ricotta, Roasted Onion Wedges, Pistachio, Basil + Truffle Oil) this was very tasty, the whole pistachios were very different but pleasant. I seemed to be the only one in my party to like this one but I'm fine with that , more for me lol. 4/5 - The other half was Chicken Catupiry (Tomato sauce, mozzarella, shredded rosemary chicken, catupiry cheese and Grana Padano Parmesan). This was good as well but a bit soggy. 4/5 All in all this was a pleasant experience. We had great food that came out quickly along with excellent service. They provide a nice warm atmosphere and I for sure would come back!

I wasn't in the mood to cook last night and found this place. The ratings were really good and the photos were appealing. After picking them up and getting home I took a bite of the margherita first and, to be honest, the flavor was great. Normally this pizza is good but theirs was fresh and, although it was originally purchased for my wife, I enjoyed a few slices myself! The pepperoni was very good but wasn't as tasty as the margherita. Their crust was extremely soft and it wasn't overly filling, it was just right. Very enjoyable pizza on a night when I did not want to do anything.

We recently discovered this place on Yelp and are thrilled we did. We drove all the way from Coral Springs to try it out, and it was worth every mile. The highlight of our visit was meeting the owner, Andre, whose warmth and passion for pizza truly enhanced our experience. His enthusiasm was contagious and added a special touch to our meal. He greeted us when we walked in and was so nice and explained everything to us. He also treated us with a nice chocolate mouse desert. We tried the pizza at Doughfellas, and it was absolutely delicious! The crust was perfectly crispy, the sauce was unmistakably homemade, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience made even more memorable by a wonderful owner. Here's what we ordered: 1. Focaccina Rosemary with a side of pizza sauce. 2. 12" Half Pepperoni and Half Margherita and Prosciutto pizza. So delicious! 3. 12" White Pizza with Truffle Oil, Fresh Mozzarella, Ricotta, Roasted Onion Wedges, Pistachio, Basil, and Truffle Oil. Amazing! 4. 12" Prosciutto Pizza (to go - AMAZING!). 5. Taramasu 6. Chocolate mousse Thank you Andre for making Ashley's and I's visit the best, we definitely will be back.

I feel comfortable saying The Doughfellas is the best pizza in South Florida. Ok, a bold statement but let me tell you why I think. The Doughfellas is situated in a little plaza in Pompano right off of Federdal Highway. There a few designated parking spaces which is more than enough for the quaint interior. There are no more than 5-10 tables inside, which you can choose to enjoy your meal at or if you're like me they serve as a great resting spot while they box up your order. I always call ahead and have never had to wait longer than 20 minutes for my order to be ready. Quick and delicious?! Sign me up. Ok, on to the things that matter. We always start with a burrata salad. You get two fresh burrata balls, sliced in half and topped with freshly slice small tomatoes, black olives, fresh basil, olive oil, and balsamic glaze. It's always perfectly seasoned with salt and pepper. The simplicity allows each ingredient to shine. Next, the pies. We feel strongly about our choices so we always order two. A margarita and the calabresa, which we get well-done. The margarita is generously topped with fresh tomato sauce, mozzarella, basil, and a drizzle of olive oil. Crispy and classic. The calabresa is an unexpected combo of thinly shaved sausage, onions and olives. I have always added hot honey to the pie, which is now an option to have them add in store! It's savory, salty, and the hot honey just makes this pie next level! The crust on any of their pies is light, perfectly fermented to allow for chew, air bubbles, and crisp! If you're still hungry, they offer homemade desserts, tiramisu being our go to. The perfect size for one, or two if you're stuffed but need a little something sweet. The Doughfellas has become a Friday tradition for us, and something I look forward to start the weekend with. The fresh ingredients and care that is put into each and every order is wonderful. The owners are caring and so friendly, and part of what makes this restaurant a true gem!

Friend recommend this spot and I was not disappointed. Visited in a Friday evening to satisfy a pizza craving and we were not disappointed. The person at the counter was super friendly and explained the menu in great detail. The location is very chill and has indoor seating and an outdoor waiting area (it gets pretty busy). We went with two 14 inch pizzas (one half margarita half Portuguesa and one half calabresa half chicken catupiry). We also had the tiramisu. We really loved the pizza and will be visiting in the near future.

So we ordered a fresh pie and garlic bread for dinner for delivery. When it got here everything was COLD, not even warm. The garlic bread isn't cut so it's just a giant piece of bread. They get an A+ for presentation and the flavor, but only once we threw it in the air fryer to heat it all up again... I hate having to reheat food when I'm starving and already waited forever for the food to get here. The pizzas are super overpriced, but maybe that's because I ordered delivery, I'm not really sure. Again, only getting a 3 star for taste and presentation, otherwise I'm annoyed that I spent so much money for cold to the touch food. Update: now I'm more annoyed because whatever customer this manager is referring to that called their restaurant was in fact NOT me. Lol So before assuming you should probably ask for a phone call first. The driver had one stop and it was me... and I paid priority to make sure of that. This also confirms this happens more often than not.... Which makes me feel like I made a pretty good review. I won't change my view or review. Have a good one.

This place was absolutely delicious! Very cute family owned pizza place with fresh Ingredients. Let's start off with their wonderful staff. We were greeted upon entering and offered choices of some of their new offerings. They were very helpful and made ordering nice and smooth. Now let's talk dough. Their incredible airy dough oils be eaten all by itself. It was perfect! My family and I enjoyed a cheese pizza, Calabresa Pizza, and the Burrata Focaccina. I had never experienced black olives on a pizza the way I did tonight. There's not one thing we didn't enjoy. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the pizza was like nothing I've ever had. If your in the area, this is a MUST for all pizza lovers around.

    Priscilla H.

Ordered a margarita pizza - add pepperoni. The slices were a little floppy but the crust was very good. I also really liked the sauce. I just found that the pizza was a little salty. It could've been from the pepperoni so I will definitely try it again and will order well done.

Doughfellas is a great spot for pizza! While I have only ever called in my order for takeout, there is some seating inside and it has always been clean and comfortable. The service was great the last time I was in and we've never had a bad experience. I ordered the 12" Spinach Goat Cheese Pizza and it was the perfect size for dinner. The crust was great and overall the pizza was really tasty. Pro tip - if you are ordering ahead, call your order in instead of using the online portal as the online version is a little more expensive.

The Sicilian Salad which was highly recommended by our friends, had a good mix of crisp greens, salty olives, shaved provolone, and a bright vinaigrette. Super crave-able whatever is in the secret dressing. Next came the Stack of Sicily with fried eggplant, juicy tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, fragrant basil, and just the right amount of balsamic. The Fire Roasted Shrimp Palermo had the perfect char, served over a bed of greens with a vibrant tomato topping. This dish was outstanding and would definitely order again! The Eggplant Reggiano was tasty, with melted cheese, and a basil finish that kept it balanced. Thoughtful execution across every plate and attentive service. Easy five stars.

My family and I (party of 4) went on a weeknight. During busy season, it is essential you join the waitlist through their website if you want to avoid waiting a long time at the restaurant. I joined the waitlist a little after 6pm and it was a 60-75 min wait so we were able to wait from the comfort of our home. When it got closer to 60 min, we headed for the restaurant. We checked in with the hostess and by the time we were seated, it was around 75 min from when I joined the waitlist. The place was extremely busy with every table filled and more people waiting outside to be called. We tried to be quick and concise with our order because of this. We ordered the garlic rosemary loaf and the Sicilian salad for the table as appetizers. For dinner, I shared a large The Joey D pizza with my cousin. The pizza had meatballs, ricotta, and shaved Parmesan on it. Everything was absolutely delicious and fresh. The only con with my visit was the service. We understand the server was busy, but it was disappointing to be ignored when we did ask for things when she visited our table (e.g. refills on water and napkins). Despite the less than stellar service, this is a great restaurant. I highly recommend it for a date night or when you want to impress guests. It is a local South Florida chain so there are more locations in the area. This one is surrounded by other shops with plenty of parking available.

The reviews were so positive that my husband and I decided to give it a try, and we are so glad we did. We just found our new pizza spot! The food was amazing. We ordered a pepperoni Sicilian pizza, six garlic rolls, and two mini cannolis. Pizza: Outstanding. I love Sicilian style, and while it is thick, the crust to topping ratio was just right. It was not too bready at all. The sauce and cheese were delicious, and each slice had four pepperoni, which was great distribution. Garlic rolls: YUM. These are perfect. My favorite thing at any Italian restaurant is garlic rolls, and these hit every mark. Soft on the inside with a slight crisp on the outside, and perfectly seasoned with parsley, garlic, butter, and Parmesan. We only ordered six to try them, and the moment I saw them I knew I should have ordered more. Cannolis: These are one of my favorite desserts. They were good, but did not wow me. That may be because the pizza and garlic rolls stole the show. I do wish they had been finished with powdered sugar, chocolate drizzle, or chocolate chips. I am not sure what is most traditional, but I am used to seeing at least one of those, so it felt like something was missing. We ordered at 4:00 pm on a Friday, and the food arrived at 4:31 pm, even though we live about 18 to 20 minutes away. I was very impressed with the speed and the freshness. Everything arrived piping hot. Highly recommend!
