My husband and I came here for date night! We have heard many great things about this pizza and couldn't wait to try. We got seated at a table near the front of the restaurant. Our waitress was very nice and greeted use warmly. We both got a 12 inch 'make your own pizza'. I got one with chicken, bacon and mushrooms while my husband got a pepperoni with extra cheese. Pizza were decent sizes and the crust was thin and very good. They loaded the pizza up with the toppings which was nice. When I got the bill I was shocked how much our make your own pizzas cost (not even the bigger size! This was the 12 inch). My pizza was $30 since the chicken was $6 for a topping. I thought it was pretty expensive for what we got. Toppings range rom $2-6 depending on what you add. It was good but I'm not sure if it was worth this price point. Next time if we come I rather just get one of the specialty pizzas that would be way less with more toppings. Overall pretty decent pizza. read more

This was the first time I have returned here since 2012, before I ever wrote any Yelp reviews. We received a gift card, and were in the mood to have some pizza delivered. We were a little annoyed that we couldn't use it online and had to actually go into the restaurant to use it. However, we had our hearts set on pizza that night, so we made the trip. Morgan was our server, and she was terrific. I only remembered from 2012 that their wings were tasty; that is still true today. We ordered Tito's Italian lemonade, original wings, and Broccoli Rabe and sausage pizza. The wings were excellent, and I wouldn't mind working our way through all the flavors. The broccoli rabe pizza was very garlicky and delicious. I have my eye on Mike's hot honey and pepperoni next. Of course, it is a chain, but it's good, dependable quality and service, especially if it's still here after 13+ years. read more

We have always have had a positive experience at Anthony's. However, we ordered garlic knots to start out. It came out dried out, cold and stale. The waitress was kind and took it back and brought us (what we thought) new ones. It was and tasted stale, dried out and toasted. This is the first time that we have ever had something bad there. We did order the meatball sliders and the flatbed with artichokes and it was delicious. We were going to order more but decided we didn't want to take a chance. This was my first visit to this Anthony's, and unfortunately it was not as good on a few levels as out favorite Anthony's in Mt. Laurel NJ. We started by ordering a glass of the house red wine. Waitress looked at her tablet and then said they were out of the house red. I said ok just substitute something else for the house red at the same price. She said she would have to charge a higher price. That's not right. At 5pm how does a restaurant run out of "house"? Then the pizza came, and my wife and I both noticed the pizza was undercooked. That's strange in a place that has signs everywhere that says Warning, Our Pizza is Cooked Well Done. So overall, just an aaahhh experience in a chain that I usually enjoy more. I certainly don't understand how this place is only 3.5 stars. This is hands down the best pizza you can get anywhere, bar none. For me, Anthony's is what I judge every other pizza restaurant by. Their crust is perfect - deliciously burned, and it doesn't matter what you put on it / it will be great. Salads, chicken wings and cocktails are all great. I come here every so often for lunch. Not too long ago, the A/C wasn't working and I know these things do happen. However, It still wasn't working today and it was 100 degrees outside. While I do like their food, I couldn't help but feel bad for the employees working in that heat. This is the United States and not some third world nation. The place was a sweat shop. This is one of the best pizza chain restaurants I have visited. The pizza is super crisp and has a great chew to it. Toppings are fresh and plentiful. The servers and staff have been great on both of my visits. Inside has a good sports bar feel too it. Will be back when in that neck of the woods. read more

Everything was great. I took my sister to Anthony's and we had an exceptional lunch. I had a delicious salad and margherita coal fired pizza. My sister had shrimp on linguine. The salad had excellent Italian dressing with fresh iceberg lettuce, olives and chickpeas. The pizza was thin crusted coal fired. I did not realize how much I liked coal fired pizza. Yummy. I could not stop eating it. All ingredients were fresh. My sister told me the linguine was great. There is open seating. Plenty of parking in the shopping center. Exceptional service. Anthony's coal fired pizza in Wilmington DE is one of our favorite places to eat. Their staff is always friendly and welcoming. The food is fresh and delicious. My husband especially likes the pasta fagioli soup. I enjoy the caprese pizza and the classic Italian salad. Stopped in for pizza (yay!) I haven't been to Anthony's since pre pandemic and remembered how amazing the pizza was, so I grabbed a friend and we went. I will say the hostess seemed a bit frazzled but it didn't take long to be seated at all and for our waitress (Hannah) to come and get our drink orders. Our order seemed simple enough: traditional pie (with pepp, mushrooms, and arugula) and a Caesar salad. The salad was out quick, and devoured. The pizza however took another 30 mins. It got to the point where we wondered if we should've ordered an actual appetizer. It was prime dinner time on a Friday, yes. Also, the inside picked up with people waiting for a table and the curbside pick up was at least 7 cars down. The pizza however ? Amazing. So if you want it, maybe order ahead. read more

These reviews are getting harder to make. Hard to tell who's at fault when you have a suboptimal delivery experience anymore; the restaurant or the delivery person. Pizza came cold. I'm sure it would've been better if it was even just room temperature. I expect a little charring of the crust in a brick oven pizza, so I'll overlook that. Half of the garlic knots were burned though, so that wasn't great... I think I'd have graded the pizza 3.5 stars if it wasn't cold on arrival. I'd try them again if there were no other options. Ugh I wanted to hate this place. But the pizza is soo freaking good. I ordered the meatballs and ricotta. I loooove ricotta. The meatballs are tiny, but so juicy and well seasoned/marinated. The bread is perfect. Thin, crispy, yet chewy. The ricotta i think has garlic and parsley? It's sweet. I'm not sure what it is. I'm not sure but it's also really good. Lastly, the tomato sauce is also very, just perfect. Fresh. Parmesan. Cheese. I'm sold. I hate that it's $23 for a 16 inch pizza though. read more

Met a friend for dinner here because it's one of her favorite restaurants. It was my first time however. After reading the reviews I was curious about the experience. The layout is nice, the lighting dim and the open kitchen was buzzing with cooks cranking out the coal fired pizza. We had the meatball and ricotta pie. The ricotta and sauce were very good but I thought the meatballs were rather flavorless. The menu may be limited but that's a good thing when you specialize in exactly what your business name says. Walked in and ordered takeout. The place was practically empty and waited close to 40 minutes for my order and the pizza was cold.

Not New York style and not Chicago style, this is different pizza. I don't know what "coal-fired" matters for it, but it did make for a charred sort of crust. Not burnt, just different. Of the pizza choices, the one with the roasted cauliflower appealed. Meatless, which is maybe healthier. And why not? It arrived quickly and cut into squares, not slices. Lots of toppings and it had an excellent texture and an excellent taste. Quite different and a quick sprinkle of the hot pepper seeds really kicked it up. Top notch service from Alex, who didn't mind at all that I sat there for about two hours with my pizza and just the one beer while I surfed away on their nice wifi. Can no longer call and speak to a person in the store to place an order. I got a artificial intelligence computerized order taker who I tried to work with but did not understand my order. Asked for a human and was transferred to some type of call center where the person had a typical accent. I hung up and will cross Anthony's off my list. Terrible business practice.
