I have been coming to Anthony's for a while. The last two years I feel like they have really gone downhill. They used to be great...their food was fresh, service was fantastic, and a stunning view. The past two times that I have gone - the food and service were downright terrible, and the food was just okay. The first time we went for my child's birthday - just the family (four of us). That time, the service was great. The food was just alright. The fish tacos (that my partner has been ordering for years) were so terrible he didn't even finish them. With the great service we have received in the past and having only one mediocre food experience, we made the easy choice to go again. This last visit, we decided that we will never come back. We had reservations for four, when they found out that two of the four were children they audibly scoffed. It was our anniversary dinner (we made a comment about that on our reservation, and nobody mentioned it), and we were made to feel like a major inconvenience. We ordered our food at 5 pm...waited...waited...waited...noticed that other people around us were getting served...waited...finally just after 6 pm, we got our food. This was a Monday night, there were about five or six other tables at the time; not busy enough to justify a wait time of over an hour. I am sure that the waiter forgot our food. When we got our food - it was just okay. My partner and I ordered the three course meal special they were promoting - on my dish they used melted margarine instead of butter for the shrimp. For one child, the steak was undercooked (we ordered medium and it came out medium rare). As we left, our waiter was complaining about other people in the restaurant. He was going on and on (very unprofessionally) with the hostess, they didn't even notice that we left...even as my children waved and said "goodbye". read more

Anthony's restaurants are known for their prime locations and beach vibes, but for a vegan wanting to entertain out of town non-vegan guests, Anthony's is less than accommodating. There is ONE vegan possibility on the menu- an impossible burger option without any vegan cheese, or vegan Mayo available. Beyond that, you will hear the 3 words no vegan ever wants to hear: We have salad. Do you have salad, Anthony's? Really? Yes you do, but not for vegans. Your talented chefs have decided to bathe every salad on the menu with as many animal products and as few vegetables as possible. Chicken, pork, cheese and more cheese all topped off with a dairy-heavy salad dressing. To top all of this off, before we were seated, the server was gathering our menus and dropped one on the dirty, wet ground right by the front door. They then picked it up and... wait for it... put it on top of the others she would hand to each of us once seated. Guess who got that filthy menu? Me. That's who. In short its Good, not great, not bad and is consistent. We recently had a party of 3, we ordered 2 specials (tiny steak w/ 3 prawns) a halibut & chips, 2 Caesar salads, 2 deserts and a bottle of St.Michelle. Total + 20% tip $281.00 We typically cook at home due to we are all very good at that. This is a meal less than 2 yrs ago would have cost you maybe $150.00 tops. I dont blame the restaurant at all, this is economics and how you run a country (in this case poorly). Costs are out of control, I don't know how most folks can afford eating out. read more

What a bummer. I've been coming to Anthony's off and on for years. I went in for lunch yesterday and decided on the burger since I've never actually had it. What a disappointment, especially for $22. The burger broke into 4 pieces and fell out of the bun. The bun was old and also "split" as I tried to take a bite. The fries were great FWIW. Our waitress was a beautiful young lady named Kennedy. She was very sweet, but you could tell they had her covering too many tables. She kept apologizing for the wait times, I genuinely felt she was doing the best she could under the circumstances. Last minute reservations and we were going to be in the area. I haven't been here for many years, and I was reminded why after my visit. The views are spectacular-- you're by the water and all. My wife and I went on a Saturday night. We went early which turned out to be a good thing. They got busy fast. We were seated quickly by the window. Awesome view. We both ordered the double R top sirloin. I also ordered clam Chowder. Our waitress was nice and pleasant and the food came quickly and was very good. We went to dinner Tuesday night for the Lobster special. I got the lobster and my wife got the miso black cod. The lobster was great. The miso black cod was spectacular. So yeah, I've been to 2 Anthony's in the past month (once at the pier- downtown and once in Edmonds) and sadly disappointed. Last night in Edmonds pretty much sealed the deal for me. Patio seating, cocktails are slow to arrive, after 2nd round nobody takes empty glasses, order steak med rare, comes well done. Crab cake tastes like tuna salad. My guests "scampi" that came with the fillet should've been used on a salad since they were so small. Speaking of salad, at the pier my ceasar salad was swimming in dressing so I won't be ordering salad anymore. IDK, maybe it is post pandemic staffing issues, maybe Edmonds has forgot about Anthony's in favor of the hipper places, maybe corporate has changed? But let me tell you, they wont get another 250.00+ from me in the near future. BTW, in spite of the slower service I still hooked up my server because 1. she needs to make a living 2. not her fault if management can't see she needs a bit of training. Between the time it took to get drinks, entrees, and dessert, it took much longer than expected. The stuffed crab mushrooms were tiny. Not worth the price, in my opinion. I ordered the steak and crab cake. I ordered my steak medium rare and it arrived medium and dry, as if it had been sitting out for a while. The crab cake, however, was delicious. Wish I just ordered that instead. The rest of my table enjoyed their food, but was not happy about the very slow service. Pretty disappointing food for the price you pay. I would take your money elsewhere for a nicer meal. I got a steak and prawns and my steak was overcooked and very tough to eat. The serving sizes are also very small so keep that in mind. The cocktails were not a hit amongst our group either and we all got different drinks. The complimentary bread was really good and the starter Caesar salad (very small salad for $10). Our server, Karen, was incredible. My family and I have been coming here for the past 4 years for Mother's Day....so this year I finally decided to leave a review. Obviously due to certain circumstances (*cough* quarantine *cough*) we had to order to go, but nonetheless they still made us a great meal! The fish tacos were delicious! One thing we were bummed about was that there was no crab louie salad, which is my mother's favorite. We went to Anthony's for the all you can eat crab every Sunday for the month of October. The food is and ALWAYS have been ABSOLUTELY HEAVENLY. The sourdough and handmade butter .. OMG .. YYUUMM. Our server Katherine WAS THE ABSOLUTE BEST Waitress we have EVER had. She is absolutely attentive, THE SWEETEST, kept an eye on us, brought more crab when we were low, when our sodas needed refilled was on it LIKE WHITE ON RICE. We were sitting in the top section and it got cold. I admit .. I could of been dressed better .. BUT .. I wanted to be sleeveless due to cracking open crab and dipping it in butter .. I didn't want any nicer shirt ruined. But .. I mentioned it was cold and the turned off the A/C and turned on the heat, she EVEN BROUGHT ME A BLANKET WE ARE SOOO GOING BACK AND ARE LIFETIME Customers now. I HAVE NEVER had fresh cooked crab or the muckleberry mint mojito before tonight. SO DISAPPOINTED IN THE STAFF!!! We came in on Christmas Eve at around 4 pm on a whim to do some gift exchange- we knew it would be busy but decided to just go on a whim but wouldn't be upset if they couldn't get us in. We came in and asked for a table of three and the host stated, "Do you have reservations? That's all we're taking because we're full but since it's only three we can try to get you in," and so we said, "no we don't, but it's fine if we're not able to get in," and then the manager comes up and the host explains to her and the manager says, "I guess you can just sit in the bar," and points to where the bar is. My fiance and I just look at each other and said, "....okay...." And then walk towards the bar. It's empty and literally no other guest was there and there were two areas of the bar and so we weren't sure where to sit and so my fiance asks the bartender and he just points to the tables. We start to walk towards them as the manager just walks up to us to give us menus and we hear her talking to the bartender and the bartender literally says "Why are they sitting here?" we could clearly hear the conversation and got annoyed and just left because everyone there was acting like we were a burden. Like we mentioned, we didn't have to come in here. We were okay if they couldn't seat us but the fact that they were acting like we were a burden and that they were doing US a favor was what was annoying us. I personally bartend at a restaurant and would have NEVER said and acted that way- the host, manager and bar staff suck and was so unprofessional. The host and manager could've and SHOULDVE just said "Unfortunately it's only reservations today so we're not able to take anyone else in." The bartender should've never even said what he said either because as a bartender I would NEVER say that. This was the first time we came here and I'm never even going to come back. Excellent happy hour food! We ate in the bar and there was no view. If we had a view it would have been 6 stars out of five. The HH food was delicious. We got the Salmon, calamari and poke nachos. I'd have to say the poke nachos looked more like a tostada. The flavor was amazing. The HH crispy calamari was deep fried to perfection with perfect consistency and texture. My favorite was the salmon dish, with mashed potatoes and crackers. It was the perfect size and flavor. I want more. read more

I just ordered a Ceasar salad and of course it came with croutons. The inside of a number of the croutons was hard as a rock. Once I got to 3 croutons like this and narrowly missed cracking a tooth, I called the manager, Chris. He did not want to feel the hard masses I was talking to him about and then he said that's just the inside of the crouton. So blowing everything off as normal. I have never had croutons like this in my life. Someone will surely break a tooth and require a crown! I never write reviews but this was so unbelievable, I had to write it and also the manager's blasé attitude even more unreal! read more

I have been to many Anthony's restaurants on the west coast and had hoped this home port location would be better. I have been here twice now for happy hour and wish they would update the menu more often. The service here is always with a smile, though they could use more servers during busy sunny days. Our server was sweet but disappeared for a long time, preventing us from getting our check, and thus causing us to be late to a play we had tickets to down the road. The meal was good, ranging from the calamari Caesar salad to the mussels and ahi poke nachos. My Chateau Ste Michelle Sauvignon Blanc was nothing to write home about but hey I don't mind supporting a local winery. The dessert here was worth waiting for. You can't argue with a $5 creme brûlée and Olympic Mountain sorbet! read more

Sunset dinners are the best, variety of choices between first course & entrees and 2 choices for dessert. The price was affordable also. The waitress was wonderful & checked in on us often. Only complaint is this, we had reservations at 5:00, was not busy at all, took them over 15 minutes to seat us and about the same for someone to come & fill our water glasses. Great experience, we have frequented Anthony's for years. The Mai Tai and seasonal cocktails are always stars. Menu has staples but rotates frequently. This time around we did fish and chips, 1 cod and 1 halibut and some apps. Solid execution all the way around. The blue salad was a little over dressed but that's okay for me. Definitely recommend. Swank factor is like a 20/10 here, the upstairs restaurant is gorgeous- especially during December when I went for a holiday dinner. The service was great & the waitress was very helpful in recommending replacement sides for what was supposed to be mashed potatoes with the steak and crab... the rice pilaf was even better imo and completed an amazing meal. Another great dinner at Anthony's. We came for the early bird special and arrived 2 minutes before 5:30PM. We had about a 15 minute wait in the lobby before we were seated and our server got us the special anyway. I had the oysters as a starter. I am not an oyster eater and wanted to try raw oysters. There were only 2 and I did not taste anything special, neither good or bad so I will not likely order them again. My wife had the pan fried oysters (a consistent favorite) and she was very pleased. I got the clam dinner. There were lots of clams but nothing else. I would have like to have a vegetable or some fries. I pigged out on the wonderful fresh baked sourdough bread with the clam juice and enjoyed both. The burnt cream was very good and the crust on the top perfectly crunchy. Service from Megan was top notch inspite of the restaurant being very busy. My only criticism would be that the menu changes very little and for locals like us, there is very little new to try. On the other hand, a 3 course dinner for $26 with $7.50 Buried Cane Chardonnay is hard to beat. read more

The view from a requested window table during dinner remains unbeatable. The host was welcoming and pleasant. He congratulated us on the anniversary we were celebrating, one we have been celebrating at Anthony's for three years. So far, so good. The server . . .tried to please, but missed the mark (starting with a simple drink order). What has gone downhill big time is the food. We ordered the jumbo prawn cocktail as an appetizer. Big mistake. The prawns had no flavor, weren't cold, not moist or easily palatable - we got the impression they had been sitting somewhere for hours. On to the fish entres: There was no "blackened" fish entre, and no whitefish entre other than cod & chips and one high priced halibut entry. The silver salmon done on Alder wood, usually a favorite, lacked both flavor and texture. . . even the generous piece I took home for my dog was left in its bowl untouched. The mashed potatoes were mushy and wet. The highlight of the meal was the ginger slaw - never had it before and it was delicious, compared to the disappointing prawn cocktail, salmon, and barely edible mashed potatoes. Sigh. Time to find a new "first choice" restaurant for birthday and anniversary celebtations. read more

We arrived early on a Saturday night; I accidentally booked the reservation for 5 people instead of 6. However, we were accommodated accordingly. Our party was sat in a semiprivate room near the host desk, the table was perfect for the amount of people attending including a squirming toddler. George was our server, we couldn't have asked for a better one. He was prompt and came with a charming sense of humor. Being that my family does not have much time to get together, only on special occasions, he was patient and understanding of all of our requests. As for the food... everything exceeded expectations! Shoutout to the Mussles Appetizer, their lovely Seasonal Starter Salad with Raspberry Vinaigrette, Roasted Garlic Prawns Entree and the Burnt Cream for Dessert. I asked why they chose to do that , they stated they are making sure the server is ready because I requested a window table. They opened at 10. Anthony's is our go to nice restaurant in Edmonds. They are located right on the water with indoor and outdoor seating with panoramic views of the Olympics and the ferry. This restaurant is on the second floor of the building surrounded by decent free parking. This is a nice place for a quiet dinner with friends and family. Anthony's has a good selection of fresh and local seafood with a full bar. Brunch is especially nice with their signature berry coffee cake and fruit platter. On my last trip I had fresh salmon grilled perfectly with a sunny view. The building seems a bit dated, but the overall effect is still nice. Service is good although they can get pretty overwhelmed during peak periods. Overall though, the Edmonds Anthony's is a nice option for date night for just family brunch after church. read more

We decided to take my mother to Anthony's for her birthday and the whole experience could not be faulted. The menu is Northwest inspired and showcased an array of delicacies with a slight modern twist. We ordered the cod and chips, sockeye salmon salad and mussels and fries. The cod and chips was fried to perfection. The fish was not soggy and retained its crispiness to the last bite. The sockeye salmon salad was light and the vinaigrette was not over-powering. The mussels and fried was an unexpected yet tasty combination. The broth was simply fantastic. Anthony's certainly met and exceeded expectations while delivering excellent service. The personal touches such as a table side visit by the service manager was unexpected and appreciated. The staff was eager to recommend their favorites and engaged us in conversation. I have also tried their Cioppino and Steak Oscar on other visits. Both dishes were expertly prepared and presented. The Cioppino was an excellent medley of shellfish in a tasty tomato broth. The Steak Oscar was cooked to request and the Dungeness crab/hollandaise sauce adds an amazing depth of flavor to the steak. read more

My fiancée and went to this restaurant to revisit our first date the evening he engaged me in marriage. I was so thrilled and touched that he thought of this. Awesome man, however the restaurant fell so below the standard that we had experienced 2 years ago. Shocking and so disappointing. It was my engagement dinner for my love and I and it felt more like a late night Denny's from high school era. My best wish for this place is that they understand what an amazing space they have in our neighborhood of Edmonds and they know that people are expecting more. I hope in the future to be able to enjoy this spot again however, there so many delicious and inviting restaurants here in Edmonds that Anthony's will not be a place that I will expect more from. read more

After having a mediocre experience for a birthday party at Anthony's Woodfire Grill I'm Everett last night, we'd hoped for a better Mother's Day experience here. I completely understand that the busy holidays aren't the best time to go out, but Anthony's in general have gone down hill over the years. (20+ years of being a customer) I had the seafood enchilada pictured ($25) which I'd had before. It hardly had any crab and had shells in some of the bites. The sauce was watery and didn't have much flavor. The fruit and coffee cake were excellent as usual, but that's hard to mess up. Our waitress was nice but the whole service was a bit slow and we could tell she was a little stressed. I don't think I'll be back to any of the locations for a while. You don't get what you pay for, aside from a beautiful view at most of the locations. read more

We've been here before, always decent professional service. Today came with girlfriends for hh and ordered mussels. The first 2 were funky, verge of/or bad. I eat mussels and know when you hit a bad one. Anyway, I decided better safe than sorry. The waitress was great about it and offered another batch, I declined thinking perhaps the entire batch was old. I subbed for clams. The clams were delish! We made a reservation for a table outside. The only two tables available were completely in the shade or in the blazing sun. We had two small boys , with option to let them shiver in the shade or roast in the sun. The restaurant really does not get the meaning of hospitality. There were heaters around on the terrace but the hostess was completely unsympathetic and could not care less. No options, no offers to help us, no attempt to come up with any solutions.....we ate our food as fast as we could while the boys shivered in the shade and left. Very disappointing experience and somebody needs to make the young staff understand that appearing to care and make their guests comfortable is an important part of their jobs. read more

My family celebrated Father's Day & my daughters graduation & were very disappointed. My mom & I ordered the strawberry crepes & both expected to get strawberries. The fruit appetizer all looked old & limp. My daughter couldn't eat more than a couple bites of her eggs Benedict & we had to request my sons orange juice when the meal was almost done.
